  1. Defensively speaking.... GB is always a concern. DAL can be very good at times. SF plays great D. DET could be good. So, basically 6 games strike me as being potentially tough on D. I still our O can take care of all of them.
  2. Of course it's the best division. The Bears are in it!
  3. Well put. Until further notice, seeing will be believing.
  4. My understanding is the cap doesn't change. I think you can shift sands...whether you want to call $7M a tag or a salary. So, I think they could offer a max of basically $10M this season...and then the tag is off and we can't tag anyone else until next season. LT2_3, do you know different?
  5. No. Please be realistic. 46 TD's (he wants it to match the legendary D's nomenclature). 1 Pick (It bounced off the hands of Sanz) and 6K in yards (Bush and Forte need to eat up some clock time).
  6. I'm in agreement. I'm not sure of the $ he'd want... I suppose for a low $, I'd take a run at him. But I don't see him settling for low $. And I'm not really all that sure an injury prone over rated prima donna is worth it regardless.
  7. Vick will be hurt by week 4, Newton will run into the sophomore slump wall, and Cutler will be on a record setting pace.
  8. People generally dislike him. Especially those not in Chicago. F 'em. More reason to get behind him!

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/...alize-its-over/ T.O. still doesn’t realize it’s over Posted by Mike Florio on May 19, 2012, 9:14 AM EDT Getty Images A year ago, receiver Terrell Owens tore an ACL. In October, he held a public workout that no team attended. That same day, 53 other players got private workouts with individual teams. Since then, not a single NFL team has given Owens a workout, even though he has shown that he can play football, via his decision to play on a part-time basis in the Indoor Football League. Even now, with 90 players on each team’s offseason roster, no one has offered Owens an opportunity to come in and show what he can do. In an interview that will air Monday on 95.7 The Game in San Francisco (they’ve actually sent out a quote sheet), Owens says he’d like to play for the 49ers or the Raiders. We wouldn’t be surprised to learn that this is part of a new strategy that entails appearing on a radio station in each NFL city and making a public pitch to play for the local team, like Chad Ochocinco did at Radio Row a few years ago when he was trying to get traded out of Cincinnati. It’s sad, really. The NFL wants nothing to do with Owens, and yet he still desperately wants back in. There’s a bizarre Bruce-Willis-in-The-Sixth-Sense quality to Owens’ depths of denial and delusion. His NFL career is dead, and we’re well past that moment at the end of the movie when the wedding ring hits the ground and everyone in the theater figures out what was going on. And as to anyone for whom I’ve just spoiled the ending of a 13-year-old movie, you really need to get out more.
  10. W/o looking yet, I'd say... Urlacher Briggs Peppers Marshall
  11. I think you are only referring to a more recent time period. Historically, the Bears have been cheap. Henceforth, why they get the bad rap now...justified or not.
  12. I think we've been around and around with this topic... Most tend to agree that Bears aren't cheap...they just haven't spend wisely in certain areas.
  13. Let's just leave it on the field....
  14. Seriously Brian. We're picking in the 20's? Only if we make a trade. Our slot next year is 32...
  15. I'd tend to agree. If the guy did nothing, and no charges are pressed, then he should be scott free. There should be no thought of "putting the NFL in a negative light" if the charges are not legit. As a smart man, he should check himself out of nightclubs far earlier, but he has every right to be there and enjoy himself legally. It would appear he was doing that.
  16. Thanks for posting those vids. The dude is seriously tall. I'd love to see him develop and become a target in the end zone.
  17. Half full? ???!!!! My cup runneth over!!!
  18. We will win it all this year with what we have. Then, we'll get some new additions and set records on our way to winning a second straight SB. How's that sound?
  19. and the Bears site.... http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?story_id=8807
