Smith snaps when asked about Martz
Doubtful. Smith is just being his usual self. Martz is not under contract after this season. I fully believe he will move on and Tice will move up in order to provide some semblance of continuity for Jay.

JA to have money freedom
Agreed. I have no problem with those 2 guys, but that's hardly a fix for what ails us most...

2011 Official TalkBears Fantasy Football Check-in
Thanks again! I'm in again! I'll just stay in the one original one though. Lowering D points to what you say is OK by me...

JA to have money freedom
I'd be beside myself...

100% agree. I saw Peppers get held about 5 times with no flag. It's not just us. It is anyone playing the golden boys... But a star like Pepper getting choked on numerous plays is ridiculous.

Bowman in, Jennings out
When JA land Smith eventually depart, the cupboard will be bare.

Aaron Rodgers
And he sat for a few years. Never thrown into the fire. And had the same O coordinator, etc since the inception. It's the perfect storm.

Postgame thoughts
Damn that is sad. I see it too...

On Cutler and Forte
I'm with you. In fact, I'd offer Forte less. I was all in favor for more...but having seen what we've seen, and realizing as good as Forte is, he stil has serious problems ending up in the end zone after all the production. Sadly, I think secondary is now a big concern as well as OL and WR, with those 2 being priority 2 and 1 respectively. And are Johnson and Peterson really worth that money? The NFL as a whole may need to re-think the true value or RB's in this now pass friendly league...

Aaron Rodgers
Rodgers is too damn good. How is it we get cursed with Favre then this guy? Seriously...the law of averages on that must be similar to winning a lottery for Green Bay. What were the stats? Something like we've started 97 QB since they had only Favre and Rodgers. It's almost depressing...

Virginia McCaskey....
Damn straight!

Virginia McCaskey....
Agreed. I'm unhappy with ownership. I have been for decades now... Still no Honey Bears...

Bears @ Packers, 12/25/11
I basically agree. But the refs don't ever want to call holding on the Packers OL, so I think no one has a chance against them.

Will Fort and Cutler return?
I would hope not... Getting a grand in yards isn't worth it...

Next week
The D isn't even fun to watch now. I guess out of morbid curiosity, I'd like to see how McCown handles himself to see if we may have a legit back-up.

Bah Humbug...what a Scrooge. These truds don't desrve another SB win. I am fully supporting ANY team playing agaisnt GB in the playoffs...including Detroit. But immediately after, then I support any team against Detroit! I'm kind of pulling for ATL in the NFC. They've never won it all.

Bears @ Packers, 12/25/11
I third that. He made plays that should be made by a back-up.

Bears @ Packers, 12/25/11
I basically agree. Losses in the OL, secondary, WR's, RB's, QB's, etc... We are just behind the 8 ball this season. I'd still love nothing more than to spoil GB's parade... Let SF get homefield.

- Happy Holidays!
I hope everyone and their families and friends have a wonderful holiday season! May we all find a small gift wrapped on Christmas day in the form of a defensive showing worthy of our team, city, and fans... And if not, may we all find the strength to turn the tv off and put our focus elsewhere!- Barber out with calf injury
No problem there. Is Brandon Jacobs free next year?- 2012 Offensive Starters
That sounds more like what I recall...- 2012 Offensive Starters
Like I said earlier...I don't have the original reviews, etc...I searched and found that. I didn't want to waste much more time on it since it's not really all that important in the grand scheme of things. I am not swearing on the Bible, etc...just saying I recall something of the sort. You cannot prove a negative, so until someone finds evidence of the mention, we can all assume that JA oddly enough didn't botch this one.- 2012 Offensive Starters
Agreed! (But I think the same sentiment can be applied to the WR position too!) I'm about 51/49... 51 WR, 49 OL. But, for me, it's just most important to get the most out of each pick at our spot. Each are pretty much of equal importance I think. Also, had we not spent our 1st pick on OL last season, then it'd be a slam dunk for me w/ going OL first. I'll be happy if either position is addressed...and hopefully with someone not injury prone or a bust! - Happy Holidays!
