I follow...but Barber and Hurd are from the same place and aren't in the same boat. The simple fact that RW isn't in shape is concerning. Not a worry. But a concern. It speaks more to his preparation etc... He could very well be "in shape" by the time real games are played. But given that Jerry Rice never had such issues means to me that my expectations of Mr. Williams has been significantly lowered. Even TO comes conditioned. I like what he's said and all that...but we all know talk is cheap. I want results. We'll have to put a pin in that until we see some games. But color me now concerned...

I heard that the suspention is for 6 week, then he can practice. So, he'll get time this season to prep for some of this and mostly next. I'm sure he'll end up on the Raiders.

It's the NFL's party. If Pryor wants to attend, he needs to come in the appropriate attire per the invite. Or he can go to the party in Canada. I don't think any previous player will be repremanded or anything (ie. Hester). It's pretty much a grandfather clause at this point. Pryor just happened.

Good point. PFT is really the shining star of rumor mills. Thier hit to miss ratio is quite good. I think the twitterverse is trying to counter how fast PFT gets their info. And it's not as reliable overall.

great points... Carimi seems to have that edge of confidence and swagger. And he seems to have a mean streak. Something it appears Webb and WIlliams are lacking... There have been great players with similar demeanor. But, I'm not sure there's been a lot.

Given what the rules currently are, any person has the right to judge any player taking money as such harshly. I choose not to. I only judge harshly if the dealings as such involve any kind of game fixing.

I think your last point sums it up. If it's Url lacking a little intensity, hey no worries...we know he'll ratch it up when it counts. But a guy like Webb, who is trying to be a starter in this league has no excuse not to be giving it his all. I don't mind the honesty. But, he better learn from this error and ratch it up now.
