  1. Man I love it, now I am really getting anxious..........
  2. Gary (bowlingtwig) and I went to the Fan Convention last year and were fortunate enough to get the signatures & a hand shake from Knox and Gilbert and I can tell you he definitely spends time with the weights. He may be small but if you ever see him in a t-shirt he is ripped and extremely well built for a small guy.
  3. You talking about Bears players or us in the forum?
  4. You know, I actually like Manning. He is a good nickle back. He can fill in at corner or safety but because he has been jerked around so much he really wouldn't be a good starter at those 2 positions. Just a backup guy. I am perfectly fine with him as Nickle and KO return specialist.
  5. Just think of what the right side of the line would look like if Webb & Vance were starters on the right. ROT J'Marcus Webb 6'8" 335 lbs ROG Vince Vance 6'8" 325 lbs Now that would be intimidating!
  6. Again, ALL systems work this way. Last year how many times did Cutler throw to a spot the revceiver was suppose to be but the receiver cut the wrong way or stopped his route? This caused a good number of incompletions and a few interceptions. It is because he was throwing to a spot the receiver was suppose to be, a timing route, and he threw the ball to that spot before he realized the receiver was not going to be where he was suppose to be. The only time a pro QB in a Pro system does not "throw to the spot the receiver is suppose to be before the receiver makes his cut or arrives at that spot is when the play breaks down and the QB is looking for a WR to break the route and freelance a bit to get free and save the play.
  7. Doesn't all offensive schemes try and do this? I do not think throwing the ball to where the receiver is suppose to be is unique to any one particular offensive scheme.
  8. Congratulations Gary & Pam. Great to hear from you guys and I sure am pleased everything went well. Hopefully we can get together and catch up on old news. Is it too soon to ask when #3 is due,
  9. Excellent Job Jay! Post some more of your shows. That was more interesting than a lot of the stuff the big boys put out!
  10. When I go to choose the one player that pissed me off the most it would have to go to the player who I thought had the most talent and totally wasted his chances in the NFL because of the lack of grey matter between the ears, David Terrell. When I chose my favorite since I am a huge fan of nasty defense I have to go with Butkus. There was no Bear as nasty as Butkus on the field. I loved Payton but he wasn't nasty, he was "Sweetness". I love Urlacher but he isn't nasty enough to be my number 1.
  11. I think the move is fine. Mike Holgrem (spelling?) when HC for SEA was top dog in the draft room. I am not sure you can blame Ruskell for any mistakes or give him credit for any success SEA had. MH had say over everything. Ruskell was a lame duck.

  13. Ahhhh - I was wondering the reason behind the gluttony of Vet being released, more than the norm. Could it be the good old:
  14. DH & DA the Devins J Knox E Bennett Iglesias After those 5 I see no one who lights my fire. I am not even sure Iglesias warms by back burner. Unless someone makes a case for themselves R Davis comes back. No if Barnes looks like he could replace RD on Special Teams and be an upgrade, fine. With spot six (IMO) wide open, it is possible JA may pick up another FA down the road.
  15. I say we grab the safety from STL they have yet to resign and drop Bullocks. Now then we would have a kick butt set of SS & FS to field.
  16. Excellent, we figured someone was going to exit as we had too many bodies at safety. It is great we can get something in return. Any draft pick received is better than just letting the guy walk.
  17. I certainly do not want to upset anyone but I deleted the thread showing a PM from a spammer that was trying to get our posters to go to their new forum. That is highly insulting that they would do that. signed up today and immediately started spamming our members. I just deleted his or her account. If Cutsizzle returns under a new name let me know and I will delete them again.
  18. Faneca might have helped. He might also have been no better than Pace.
  19. I think the experience with Pace and the fact that even if he had anything left in his tank it would be a band-aid at most is the reason JA did not go for him. There are already a lot of players being cut by teams. I think the Bears will wait until a younger player with some promise shows up before they pull the trigger.
  20. Exactly. All the owners want to do is shift some of the money that would be paid rookies to the vets. (These figures are TOTALLY for example only, not real) If the owners are now giving 10 percent of the salary cap to rookies and 90 percent to the vets, they are looking to give 5 percent to the rookies and 95 percent to the vets. (all imaginary numbers) That should make the vets happy. Rookies still get a huge payday when you consider they have proved nothing and still getting millions of dollars. Owners are happy because they are not throwing away so much money on unproven rookies that may never play a down in the NFL.
  21. Seems like he will be at a reasonable price, I found this while searching:
  22. Maybe you are right. Maybe JW was the only LB CAR would take in the trade. I know we are too heavy at LB with Pisa coming back. I just wish it could have been Roach or McClover. I can't say I like either of them better than JW.
  23. I am not so sure. I thought JW looked pretty darn good. CH I believe is a SS. I would be happier if he were a top notch FS.
