  1. Excellent Job Jay! Post some more of your shows. That was more interesting than a lot of the stuff the big boys put out!
  2. When I go to choose the one player that pissed me off the most it would have to go to the player who I thought had the most talent and totally wasted his chances in the NFL because of the lack of grey matter between the ears, David Terrell. When I chose my favorite since I am a huge fan of nasty defense I have to go with Butkus. There was no Bear as nasty as Butkus on the field. I loved Payton but he wasn't nasty, he was "Sweetness". I love Urlacher but he isn't nasty enough to be my number 1.
  3. I think the move is fine. Mike Holgrem (spelling?) when HC for SEA was top dog in the draft room. I am not sure you can blame Ruskell for any mistakes or give him credit for any success SEA had. MH had say over everything. Ruskell was a lame duck.

PLEASE, if anyone gets anymore of these spam messages, or in other words if they send another asshole over here to spam us again, let the admins know immediately so we can put a stop to it right away.
  5. Ahhhh - I was wondering the reason behind the gluttony of Vet being released, more than the norm. Could it be the good old:
  6. DH & DA the Devins J Knox E Bennett Iglesias After those 5 I see no one who lights my fire. I am not even sure Iglesias warms by back burner. Unless someone makes a case for themselves R Davis comes back. No if Barnes looks like he could replace RD on Special Teams and be an upgrade, fine. With spot six (IMO) wide open, it is possible JA may pick up another FA down the road.
  7. I say we grab the safety from STL they have yet to resign and drop Bullocks. Now then we would have a kick butt set of SS & FS to field.
  8. Excellent, we figured someone was going to exit as we had too many bodies at safety. It is great we can get something in return. Any draft pick received is better than just letting the guy walk.
  9. I certainly do not want to upset anyone but I deleted the thread showing a PM from a spammer that was trying to get our posters to go to their new forum. That is highly insulting that they would do that. signed up today and immediately started spamming our members. I just deleted his or her account. If Cutsizzle returns under a new name let me know and I will delete them again.
  10. Faneca might have helped. He might also have been no better than Pace.
  11. I think the experience with Pace and the fact that even if he had anything left in his tank it would be a band-aid at most is the reason JA did not go for him. There are already a lot of players being cut by teams. I think the Bears will wait until a younger player with some promise shows up before they pull the trigger.
  12. Exactly. All the owners want to do is shift some of the money that would be paid rookies to the vets. (These figures are TOTALLY for example only, not real) If the owners are now giving 10 percent of the salary cap to rookies and 90 percent to the vets, they are looking to give 5 percent to the rookies and 95 percent to the vets. (all imaginary numbers) That should make the vets happy. Rookies still get a huge payday when you consider they have proved nothing and still getting millions of dollars. Owners are happy because they are not throwing away so much money on unproven rookies that may never play a down in the NFL.
  13. Seems like he will be at a reasonable price, I found this while searching:
  14. Maybe you are right. Maybe JW was the only LB CAR would take in the trade. I know we are too heavy at LB with Pisa coming back. I just wish it could have been Roach or McClover. I can't say I like either of them better than JW.
  15. I am not so sure. I thought JW looked pretty darn good. CH I believe is a SS. I would be happier if he were a top notch FS.
  16. I kinda have to laugh. When we drafted Harris everyone thought it was a good pick. The first year he played pretty good. The second year he got burned a few times. The Bears traded him and EVERYONE in the forum thought we got a good deal and were happy he was gone. Then he plays well in Carolina and everyone is pissed JA traded away a good player. Now what will the reaction be if this is true?

    Draft Recap

A 2010-2011 Super Bowl Ring of course!
  18. Yes we will, pick number 32 of the first round.

    Draft Recap

What if they sign him to a deal that would allow us to bring him in and try him out during mini camps and then decide later to keep him or cut bait before the season starts? A reasonable deal with a good size bonus if he makes the final roster would be a win/win situation.
  20. Jason, I disagree. If you do not like JA & LS fine. But the idea they drafted an OT in the 7th for the reason you list is IMO way out there and wrong. They were drafting players at each spot they felt had a chance to contribute now or in the future. Obviously you do not expect a 7th rounder to contribute immediately although it has certainly happened in the past, even on the Bears. However, I am sure intrigued with the massive size of this guy and the reports I have read.
  21. I agree, if he shows up big time on special teams then it may be time to let R Davis go.

    WTF!!!!!

Hey Parker, are the Bronco Fans buying into the Tebow hype? I personally see a BIG BUST coming. I do not think he will be anything more than a backup Qb along the lines of a Rex Grossman.
  23. Good Points. Damn, before I did not care. Now I will be disappointed if we do not sign him. Shame on you!
  24. I agree. Unless there is an underlying reason (he was plying injured but is now healthy) I would pass. We do not need another O Pace to cut next year.
