  1. Not that I am arguing, but you can only do so much to make lemonade sweet when you are given a sackful of horse manure to make it with...Thanks for this wonderful smelling bag JA...

    Cutler

That was an absolutely embarrassing performance by the Bears tonight. We need serious help at 15 of the 22 starting positions, not to mention depth. This season is a tribute to an egotistical GM and egotistical coach who refused to believe they needed to do anything different. I think we will be lucky if we are 8-8 this year. What a waste of another season of Jay Cutler's career...

    Frank Omiyale

if he dresses again this year the whole staff needs to get fired. Angelo should get fired for paying this guy millions to suck more than a hooker on dollar day.
  4. Yeah...this loss hurt more than any other to me. To lose the NFC championship game is bad...but to lose to the effing packers makes it so much worse...words fail to describe my disappointment last night. But Cutler is still a heck of a QB, the best we've ever had. As much as I think it sucks that he was terrible in the biggest game in his career, I am still glad he is our QB and can't wait for the next season.
  5. Yeah but divorce removes all green from the equation...
  6. I am getting all geeked up about this game man! I can hardly wait for it!! I absolutely HATE the Packers and can't wait to see them lose and send us off to the Super Bowl. Besides, if the Packers do happen to win I will never be able to shut my wife's family up about it...
  7. Also everyone is so hyped up about the packers being a hot team...last I checked we have gone 8-1 in the last 9 games that mattered (the week 17 loss taken out)...if that isn't hot I have no idea what is. Screw the "experts", we are going to take it to the Packers tomorrow and prove once and for all that we belong.
  8. I was about to post this one myself Madlith. I loved this article. I was probably the biggest Orton homer there was on this board, since I went to Purdue with him, but Cutler is such a dynamic quarterback. I am glad we made the trade, because guys like him do not come around often, and I for one am ready to strap it down and enjoy the ride for the next 8-10 years. And I can't wait for him to rain on the pack's coronation parade Sunday! Bear Down!

    HAHAHAHA

    Absolutely priceless!!! Stupid frickin Wisconsinites
  10. Yeah that throw out of the wildcat would never have happened if the game was not already out of reach by that point. Martz is a crazy gambler, but he isn't stupid.

    Mock Drafts

I actually DID read the whole post...I especially liked the part where you said OT was not a round 1 must...and the part where you mentioned CB being a higher priority...You did mention interior OL and replacing Kruetz...but to say that we don't need a stud OT if one is to be had is just mind boggling. We gave up 56 sacks...OL is as high of a priority as it gets and OT is a hugenormous need. Like I said I did read the whole thread...though after you said OT is not a round 1 need I probably just should have stopped and realized you were joking. No other explanation for something so outrageously false that even my 5 year old daughter knows better. Good one man, you had me for a second!

Ok, since you didn't seem to take that line as the joke I meant it to be let's try reasoned argument for a second. 1) What is the SINGLE most glaring weakness on this team? What is the the big neon sign pointing straight at Achilles' heel for this team? If you don't think that this is the Oline then I don't know what to say other than are you serious? Blind perhaps? Or just not really understanding of what it takes to win football games at any level? 2) We gave up 31 sacks in the first 8 games and 25 in their last 8 games...not exactly a HUGE improvement as you stated. 3) Webb and Omiyale are the worst tackle tandem in the league. And it isn't close...at all... 4) Culter was sacked a league high 56 times...56...my Lord how is he still alive?? 5) Improve the smell of a steaming pile of dog crap with Febreeze and it still doesn't make it something I want in the living room. 6) Did you watch the games this year? 7) I am running out of arguments besides the obvious...56 sacks...31 in the first 8 and 25 in the last 8... 8) I don't see enough improvement that makes me want to abandon the plan to draft 7 Olinemen in the draft and go after 2 or 3 free agents to boot.

I will go farther and say that their CB's might just be better OT's than their OT's...
  14. Big difference between McMahon and Cutler though. McMahon had a TON of charisma...Cutler is just a prick to the media. Like I said though, I am perfectly fine with that.
  15. F him and the cheese horse he rode in on. I hope I never hear his name again and the only highlights I want to see are the last INT in the NFC championship game and his head hitting the frozen turn when Wooten pile drove him to end his sorry career.
  16. I personally don't care that Culter is an arrogant prick. I actually like that about him. He has a swagger and confidence that it seems nothing can shake. He shows his frustration with coaches (ever seen the look on his face when forced to call a pointless timeout when the play call is too slow?) and his fellow players. He expects people to do what they are supposed to do and lets them know when he is pissed that they didn't. I happen to like that about him. Besides, who cares if the media likes him? The only people that matter are the guys in the huddle with him, and they seem to be just as fine as I am with him being a world class media prick.
  17. Actually Joe Webb is the only QB under contract for them right now...so unless they trade for Orton or some other decent QB, they will be losing for at least 2-3 years.
  18. Voted, not much hope of catching the saints when we are playing the kittens though... 41% to 27% right now
  19. Well Asante Samuel is out, per PFT, which is good news for Cutler and our offense. As long as Marinelli can come up with a plan to keep Vick in check, we have a legit shot. Bears 24 - Eagles 20
  20. weren't we 3-1 last year too? We played above ourselves in 3 out of 4 games at the beginning and then the wheels fell off after the bye I think. So that is why I put zero faith in this team until they prove that they can actually play a complete game. Luck doesn't last throughout an entire season unless you have Mike Brown returning everything he touches for a TD, like 2000. I hope beyond hope that they are what their record says they are, but I get the feeling that it is gonna be ugly the rest of the way because of the poor offensive line...I wonder if there were any OL better than the crap we have now when we picked Dan Bazuin, or Jarron Gilbert, or Dan LaFevour, or Gaines Adams or any of our other failed draft picks/trades...
  21. I am worried about this game...they are a REALLY bad 0-4 team that we should kick the crap out of if we expect to be a good team...problem is I don't really think we are a good team. I think we lose this one because our D gets tired, a la the Giants game where they just ran it down our throats in the 2nd half...I just don't have any confidence in our offensive line to block my son's pee wee team let alone an NFL team, which will put the D back on the field time and time again with little to no rest. Panthers 20 Bears 10
  22. I'm not going to pick a winner, because I am always wrong it seems and I usually pick the Bears...so it might be best for me to just not...but I will say I am shocked as hell that we are staring at the possibility of 4-0 when many of us thought we would be looking at 1-3 or even 0-4...I am damn glad I was wrong and I have not had to throw my jersey down in disgust once this season
  23. They loved Jauron too so that isn't exactly a ringing endorsement...
  24. I totally agree bradjock...but I just have little hope that we will actually be winning on many Sundays, Mondays, or any of the 7 days we could be playing...
  25. Preseason or not, we are seeing the exact same issues we saw last season when the games counted: 1) OL is bad. No getting around it, our OL is just plain bad and has been for 2 or 3 years 2) DB's take bad angles constantly, if I have to watch Chris Harris blow another coverage (I think we are up to 2 or 3 touchdowns thanks to his cover skills) I may puke 3) 3rd and long coversions...How many times do we play excellent on 1st and 2nd only to blow chunks on 3rd down? How many 3rd and 14's do we have to give up before realizing the Lovie Cover No One scheme does not work anymore? 4) Missed tackles, how many missed tackles due to going for a hit or strip do we have to stomach? This is not hoping the Bears do poorly, this is simply pointing out that no amount of kool-aid is going to band-aid the hole in the sinking ship that is the Bears season. It is going to take a lot more coaching and innovation than we have EVER seen from this staff to cover the holes in our roster. I simply have little hope, but that doesn't mean I won't be in front of the TV every game with my Jersey on. It just means I expect to throw that jersey down in disgust after the games...
