  1. AM 1000 is reporting the Queens have granted permission for Rogers to interview with the Bears. Peace
  2. Why would the Queens allow us to interview him? I say there is a 75% chance we hear no tomorrow. Peace
  3. I think you hit on it. Mulligan described the Bears process as one where they were going to interview a bunch of candidates and then choose. The issue is no one is going to stick around and wait. If they get an offer, they are gone and can you really blame them. Peace
  4. Babich was the head coach at North Dakota State from 1997-2002 so he does have more experience than Plank. I mentioned Tice because I had argued in another post that anyone wanting Plank as DC should have no issues with Marinelli as DC or Tice as OC. Peace
  5. Good luck with that. Peace
  6. Jackson had a good interview on AM 1000. He has worked previously with Cable and shares alot of the same philosophy. Further, he is from California and is excited to have the opportunity to go home. He said he didn't want to lead Lovie on so he felt it was best to cancel the interview. Peace
  7. Marinelli was the Detroit head coach for 3 years and 10 years a position coach at Tampa. That is 13 years experience in the NFL plus he coached in college for 19 years. That's 32 years of coaching experience to Plank's 5. Tice was Minnesota head coach for 4 years and has been a position coach in the NFL for 10 years. That is 14 years coaching experience to Plank's 5. You can argue that Plank may be a better coach for other reasons, but there is no way you can say he has more coaching experience than Marinelli or Tice. Peace
  8. I think if you want change next year, this is the best possible situation. I do not think the Bears are the laughing stock of the NFL and tire of hearing that. I can think of at least at least 5 organizations that I would consider in role before the Bears led by Detroit, Oakland, and Washington. I am not happy with the Bears right now, but I certainly would not call them a laughing stock. FYI - Mully said that Chud's wife is expecting very soon and he decided that moving right now is not in the best interest of his family. I can't hold that against the Bears. Peace
  9. Again, playing devil's advocate, anyone who wants Plank as DC should have no issues with Marinelli being the DC or Tice being the OC. They are both more qualified than Plank based on their coaching experience. Peace
  10. At this point, they should just wait until after the SB. IMHO I say there is at least a 50% chance that Tice ends up being the OC. Peace
  11. Another one bites the dust. http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2010/...ning-bears.html Peace
  12. They only have themselves to blame. Peace
  13. I heard Brett said the code words today "I really don't think I'm going to play next year" which means I don't want to participate in OTAs, training camp, or the first few preseason games. See you in the middle of August. What a douche bag. Peace
  14. Let me preface this by saying I loved Plank as a player. Playing devils advocate, you are wanting Plank as DC when he has less coaching experience now than Babich at the time he was promoted? Me thinks the Bears kool-aid is flowing fast on this board. Personally, I think if he wasn't an ex-Bear you would want nothing to do with him. http://www.chicagobears.com/team/coach.asp?coach_id=5 Peace
  15. The Colts are going to destroy them. They will not make the same mistakes as the Queens. Peace
  16. I can't disagree with you there. We'll see how he does over time. Bottom line to me, hate is a really strong word. What has he ever done to the Bears? Hey, I hate Brett Favre but that is after watching him kick my favorite team's arse for years. Indy isn't in our conference. We only play them once every few years. Yeah, they beat us in the SB, but Dungy was the head coach then. Again, to each his own. Peace
  17. Alrighty then. To each his own. I'll agree with Bowlingtwig - give me a coach who wins. Peace
  18. Bill Callahan and Matt Cavanaugh at NY. John Ramsdell at SD. Thoughts? http://www.csnchicago.com/01/19/10/Bears-C...amp;feedID=3769 Peace
  19. Connorbear posted a topic in Bearstalk

  20. You hate their coach - why? Just because he doesn't show emotion? Peace
  21. I think you mean Perry Fewell. IMHO they have put the DC position on hold until the resolve the offense or Indy loses. I think there is a very good chance that one of the assistants from the Colts will be hired. They did interview Chud. Who knows what happened. They also interviewed the ex-TE coach from Seattle. Peace
  22. Nevermind. Just noticed this is from the 9th. Peace
  23. Who knows??? http://www.chicagonow.com/blogs/david-kapl...inator-job.html Peace
  24. Who knows??? http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2010/...-the-bears.html Peace
  25. Listening earlier today, I caught an update segment on the SCORE. Terry Boers is reporting his source inside the Bears says that Lovie wanted to hire Martz and that Jerry veto'ed the move. Peace
