He was on the PUP list. The took him off. You can be removed from the PUP list any time during the preseason. Once the season starts however, if you are still on the PUP list you have to remain on it for 6 weeks minimum.

I think the Cowgirls were extremely interested in him when we signed him as a FA. I read an article at the time that said he chose Chicago because he would have a better chance of making the roster.
I think the point is mute. If he continues to play like this, I simply do not see us putting him on the PS. He will be on our 53 man roster.

Nice article on last yrs picks. I think Okwo might be gone especially considering how Roach has looked.

I agree that Williams should go on the IR. We need to move forward for this yr. Better safe than sorry.

They better not think they are going to be able to keep on the PS. He will have to be on the 53 man roster and I would want him over Simms.

If he continues to play the way he did yesterday, there is no way they will put him on the PS. He will be on the 53 man roster. As you stated, he will be snapped 'in the blink of an eye'. I wouldn't call him a great talent after 1.5 quarters against a 3rd string defense but he does show real potential.

I am willing to give the Bears the benefit of the doubt but this is worst case scenario. I cannot imagine Williams will have an impact this yr as he will have had no practice reps. I bet he ends up on IR.

Looks like he is deciding between the Bears, Texans, and Ravens.
Also, note at the bottom of the article that Matt Lawrence was cut.

You cannot be put on the PUP list once training camp starts. Either the Bears put him on IR or they have to carry him on the 53 man roster once the season starts.

Exactly. He looks like he actually has talent that can be developed. Unlike some of these gems from the past: Moses Mareno, Steve Stenstrom, Ken Mastrole, Henry Burris, Jonathan Quinn, etc.
I know it was only 1 game, but I was very impressed.

- 1st string defense was embarassing. You don't let a crappy team like KC drive the ball down your throat.
- Forte looked good. I think we will be happy with him.
- Both Orton and Grossman just looked ok. I hope someone stands out next week.
- Special team penalties killed us.
- Wolfe re-enforced my belief he can be a very good 3rd down back.
- Hanie locked up the 3rd string QB role in my opinion. I really liked his poise.
- The offensive line actually did ok. I pray they do not bring back Fred Miller. I would rather have St Clair at LT.
- Bennett should not be returning kickoffs or punts. Toub must be on crack.
I will have more thoughts later.

This is the point. He never missed a practice or game in college. We would not have drafted him unless he was cleared by the medical staff. I cannot believe how awful our luck is. UGH!!!!!

At some point, you need to get thicker skin.
You asked the following question:
I know it's easier to cut Hass over Booker but which player would really make the team better? If Hass performs better in preseason is it worth it to have Booker's leadership in the locker room?
My response would be even if Haas has a better preseason than Booker, you keep Booker. Booker is a proven veteran receiver who is a leader in the locker room. Unless he looks like crap, he makes this team. The choice to me is between Bradley and Haas. Whomever wins the preseason battle, gets the roster spot.
