  3. left on the 53 man roster. Cowboys | Team meets with Bollinger Tue, 2 Sep 2008 17:27:22 -0700 Updating a previous report, Todd Archer, of The Dallas Morning News, reports the Dallas Cowboys met with free-agent QB Brooks Bollinger (Vikings) Tuesday, Sept. 2. The Cowboys may sign Bollinger after Week 1. He would have never made it to the practice squad. Dallas was the other team that tried to sign him as a FA after the draft. He is from Texas. They would have snagged him in a heartbeat. Peace
  4. As long as this means Fred 'Turnstile' Miller is not coming back I am happy. Peace
  5. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/cs-08...0,7132303.story Just what we needed to hear - not!!!! Peace
  6. Understood. No issues. Peace
  7. I didn't tell you to stop. I asked you to please stop. There is a difference. I did this because you know and I know that you omitted details when you stated he refused to visit the troops. He declined to visit the troops 1 time as opposed to the multiple times that he did visit them. Just like when someone slams McCain for voting against Veterans benefits. They are omitting the fact that he is usually voting against them because they normally attached to pork. That's fine if you think I am way out of line. I never called you a bad guy. I respect you but I do not respect the fact that you omitted certain facts in you argument. Sorry I wasn't clearer in my response. BTW - I should have stayed out of the discussion like I said I would earlier. I am done with this post. Peace
  8. Please stop. If you don't like the guys politics that's fine but there is no need to stretch the truth when you know otherwise. Are you going to say next that he hates America???? Peace
  9. Relax. He will most likely be back on the practice squad. If not, they will probably sign Trey Brown (UCLA) to the practice squad. Peace

Like Pix said, I am simply looking for another Neil Anderson and then Wolfe can be Pinky. Peace
  11. Patrick Mannelly is the captain on special teams. Peace
  12. Wait a minute. I have to call you out. Didn't you tell me he would be snagged up by another team???? Just giving you crap. I am happy he is back and hope a spot opens up for him at some point. Peace
  13. If signed, it will be interesting to see who they try to move to the practice squad. I am hearing that Bowman was one of the final bubble players that made the roster so he might be the one. I would rather risk losing him than Hanie. Peace
  14. Good luck to him. We play them in November and I am hoping that Forte runs right over him. Peace
  15. Good to hear. I read in another thread he turned down offers from a few other teams to come back. Peace
  16. Understood - no issues. Peace
  17. In your opinion I am wrong. I am simply noting that there always players who look very good in the preseason who never amount to anything in the pros (David Ball last yr). Personally, I like Rideau and wish him well. However, he has never played a down in an NFL game that means anything. Marty Booker has played in the league 9 yrs. He has never looked good in the preseason (confirmed by several local writers - Mulligan, Biggs, etc) but has always brought it when it counts. I respect your opinion but I simply disagree with you. Let's leave it at that. Peace
  18. The o-line is a joke. 2 of the 8 players have had surgery in the past month. Williams will not be ready until midseason. Metcalf is supposed to be ready but he never impressed me before surgery. We are an injury to a tackle away from Barton playing. I think he is a nice prospect but will take a couple of yrs to develop. Peace
  19. I have to ask because I have noticed a trend - Did Rex Grossman piss in your Cheerios? Seriously, you seem to hate him for some reason. I'm talking the kind of hate that, in my opinion, should be reserved for a player like Cade McNown who was not only a bust but also a complete tool. Peace
  20. Agreed. I would pass. Peace
  21. A clear picture of the 53-man roster By Brad Biggson August 30, 2008 4:18 PM | Permalink | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0) With the final cuts known (rookie Chester Adams is likely to receive an injury settlement) here is a look at what the 53-man roster looks like: QUARTERBACK (3)--Orton, Grossman, Hanie. RUNNING BACK (4)--Forte, Jones, Wolfe, Peterson. FULLBACK (1)--McKie. WIDE RECEIVER (6)--Hester, Lloyd, Bennett, Booker, Bradley, Davis. TIGHT END (3)--Clark, Olsen, Davis. OFFENSIVE LINE (8)--Kreutz, Beekman, Metcalf, Garza, Tait, St. Clair, Williams, Barton. TOTAL OFFENSE: 25 DEFENSIVE LINE (9)--Harris, Adams, Dvoracek, Idonije, Harrison, Brown, Ogunleye, Anderson, Toeaina. LINEBACKER (6)--Urlacher, Briggs, Hillenmeyer, Williams, McClover, Roach. SAFETY (5)--Brown, McGowan, D. Manning, Payne, Steltz. CORNERBACK (5)--Tillman, Vasher, Graham, Bowman, McBride. TOTAL DEFENSE: 25 SPECIALISTS (3)--Gould, Maynard, Mannelly. There could still be movement, especially Sunday involving the waiver wire. The most logical are for change would be on the offensive line. We'll see what shakes out there. Peace
  22. Just like Kenny Christian!!!! Peace
  23. Wide receiver Rideau does not make the cut By Brad Biggson August 30, 2008 2:49 PM | Permalink | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0) Wide receiver Brandon Rideau, who led the Bears and the entire league with three touchdown catches in preseason, has been informed he will be placed on waivers. It's an indication the Bears will go with six wide receivers and that veterans Marty Booker and Mark Bradley are most likely safe. There's been no announcement on their status, but Bradley is a former second-round pick and coaches indicated Booker was safe even though he was difficult to find on the field in preseason. Tight end Fontel Mines, who spent last season on the practice squad before a brief promotion to the 53-man roster at the end of the season, has also been told he will be placed on waivers. That leaves six cuts unknown. Stay tuned. I also read that LaRoque will be cut as well. Peace
  24. I agree. Don't worry about the other team. Worry about yourself. Peace
  25. Lovie is Angelo's coach. Angelo understands you need consistency in the staff to win. If Lovie is gone that means Angelo (Angelo said Lovie was most likely his last hire) goes as well which will cost the McCaskey's a crap load of cash considering: - they will have to pay both Angelo & Lovie - they will have to pay their replacements I think you are looking at this as if it is just a sport. You know and I know this is a huge business. They will not make a change until the crowds stop showing up & the money stops flowing (remember at the end of the Wanny era). Look at Detroit and how long Millen has been there. They have been awful but they are obviously making a crap load of money or he would be gone. Peace
