  1. Should have been an o-lineman. That being said, Jerry's record in the draft with defensive players is very good. He simply missed on this one. Peace
  2. He'll be on a roster somewhere. Best of luck to him. Peace
  3. Per Brad Biggs blog on the Sun Times site. Peace
  4. Let me say 1st that I agree with almost everything you said. I consider myself an Independent but I know my voting record trends toward Democratic. 8 years ago I may have voted for John McCain but there is no way in hell now. He has completely sold himself to the devil to get his party's nomination. Now I am 100% behind Senator Obama. I feel he has the vision to get us back on the right track. Agreed also that I am not looking to debate anyone on this site. Whatever you beliefs, I hope at least you will get involved and will vote. Peace
  5. Nothing like some sarcasm in the morning!!!!!! I will wait until after the 3rd game to start worrying. I think the Indy game is a wash because they are opening a new stadium and will be jacked up. I think we are lambs for the slaughter that day. Week 2 (Carolina) and week 3 (Tampa) are critical. If we look like we do now, it will be a long yr. Peace
  6. This just makes it easier to protect him. I thought both Balogh and Barton showed promise in preseason. Look for Balogh to go on the practice squad and Barton to end up on the roster. The Bears will sign a vet for the 4th tackle (Miller probably - ugh). Peace
  7. Pix, I think NFO was talking about the play on defense not my remarks (that's how I took it). No issues from my side. Peace
  8. I sent DaBearsBomb a note and asked him for assistance here. Will get back to you after we have discussed. Peace
  9. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/cs-08...0,3446149.story Peace
  10. Mike Brown, Dusty, and Tommie did not play tonight. No excuse - I'm just saying. Peace
  11. Knee injury - see the bottom of the article. Peace http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,6379081.story
  12. Team, Just deleted a thread that appeared to be the end of a heated discussion between Bears88 and BrianBear. The thread had a tone that I felt needed to be removed from this board. My apologies if I upset anyone with this action. Peace
  13. I would say there is hardly any chance he makes it over Booker. Peace

    Thoughts

    - Better not release Hanie and think he is going to make it to the practice squad. He will end up on someone else's roster. - Riddeau has really made a case for playing on someone's roster. Would like to see him stick but we really don't have room. - Nice to see Rex bounce back. We may need him at some point this yr. - Bennett made a hell of a catch. Hope he gets time on the field. - Forte looked much better blocking tonight. I do not envy JA as they have some tough cuts to make. Peace
  15. Agreed. I really could care less if we go 0-4 in the preseason. The issue is the defense does not look good out on the field. They better step it up big time and soon or it will be a long season. Peace
  16. Finn was drafted Jauron's first yr. He didn't make it past the 1st cut and, like you said, had a very productive career. The most interesting thing about him was he was Mr. Irrelevant (the last pick of the draft) and he was actually at the draft in NY. He came up on the stage and received congratulations from the crowd. I also remember an interview with him after he was cut and he said he would play in the league. I wish would have never cut him. Peace
  17. Monk hasn't even made the Giants yet. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Peace
  18. I would rather see McBride or Graham at the nickel. What role is Manning playing now? Will the coaching staff ever stop screwing with this kid? Another interesting part of this article was the appearance that Miller is playing other teams against the Bears to get more cash. Personally I don't want him back but I can see why they are looking at this. I would not raise the offer to him knowing that he is from here and it would be so much more convenient for him to play here. Peace
  19. I believe these #s have to be incorrect. I remember seeing that we were less that 2 million under the cap when the Hester deal was signed. Where is LT2_3 when you need him???? Peace
  20. Miller has business connections in Chicago. This may play into his decision. Peace
  21. Mulligan is my favorite analyst on the SCORE. Further, I also enjoy his articles in tbe Sun Times. Brad Biggs and him do a much better job covering the Bears than the Trib IMO. Peace
  22. He left today. See the attached article. http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/2008/08/mi...en_bears_a.html Peace
  23. Good. That is the last time I will have to see his name when I open the paper. Peace
