  1. Myles Garrett, Max Crosby, Micah Parson are 3 players that alone force opponents to plan against since they can change games. I would part with DJ and our next 2 firsts in a heart beat to have any of those 3. Luther Burden can step into that roll, Jahyde Walker can jump a spot and so on. They can make a few cuts like Edmunds to make cap room. It hurts losing a player like DJ but the fan base would forget fast knowing Garrett/Crosby are wearing the blue now orange.
  2. Merry Christmas to the ones who seek the best Bear talk collaboration on the world wide web!
  3. Adam showed some re-work and cuts to make room. It can be done, not sure for Garrett's cap but have to be really creative to get that trophy. You have small opportunities and the Bears have it.
  4. Just like Sherman Turner helped us this year. Hate to shatter any hope, but a beloved will get moved to make room for real help. The Bears have a window and a 25th-32nd pick is not going to help. Id Trade DJ, our 1st and a 2027 1st or 2nd for Myles Garrett. Then cut whoever you need to for the cap
  5. Montez stepped up a little with 9.5 sacks, but damn Garrrett with 22. Falcons rookie Jame Pierce with 8.5
  6. If the Bears had Garrett they would be instant favorites. Picking so late this year and hopefully next, trading 2 - 1sts wouldn't hurt my feelings as long as we have the rest of our picks. Maybe throw in DJ Moore to help Shedour with a 1st & 2nd.
  7. The sad part is that was supposed to be Montez Sweat. Does he need stud DTs to wreck the inside or does he need replaced?
  8. Since I do not seeing a rookie being a threat to opponents year one, they will have to find a way through re-doing contracts or trading players. Would fa's Trey Hendrickson or Joey Bosa have enough in the tank to be that threat? Or try to trade for a Myle Garrett? The FA route might allow them to draft prospects and to fit the cap, they may have to trade/cut DJ, Kmet, Edmunds.
  9. All I am saying is everyone that says it is a guarantee the Bears will draft a RD1 DL/DT should keep an open mind. Odds are good that happens but locking it in, never from me.
  10. After I seen Ben rubbing his hands together with an evil grin, I said he has something good brewing with Loveland
  11. What if there isn't any D penetrators worth the value of the pick? That's all im saying. Like the LTs were gone, so TE it was. We get sucked into our major needs, like LT last year, and take a #2 TE who most draft experts had behind Warren. Among our board, TE wasn't mentioned much or at all. That is why I would not bet. I have DT/DE as my target when doing mocks. Read the profiles over and over. The algorithm always has the edges gone but boat loads of QBs.
  12. I wonder if they moved them for the same reason the Bears did with Fields. They didn't want that player, who just had his replacement drafted, around to spoil their investment.
  13. I wouldn't bet a lot that they go D line with their first myself, but they will address the position this offseason. Last year we were both certain they would go LT and I don't recall seeing TE let alone Loveland on anyone's Bingo card. We will all expect and mock DT/DE but who knows who is available.
  14. The offense needs to control the ball more than 2-1/2 minutes to help the D too. Seems like GB would march the whole field were the Bears were 3 and out. I almost feel the Bears need a stud or two at DT more than the DE. Billings is not the same force as he was a year or two ago.
  15. Bears play at SF on a short week and could play there again for the big dance.
  16. Dear Gridiron God's, please give the Bears a W. We have been abused way to long and need a break. Amen
  17. This seems to be a pretty deep QB draft. Might not be bad to get one cooking because Caleb might be as good as he is ever gonna be right now.
  18. The offense needs a lot more because these short possessions are killing our defense. They were out of gas before half.
  19. I think he is gonna be a player. Next year if he stays healthy will be his to big year. Hes already making a presence since he came back.
  20. BJ probably feel like an ass after the 4th and 1 play near the goal line. He needs a slap in the face bc he looks like a ghost staring into nothing.
  21. Love lowered his head, wish they would take that into consideration but you know they wont. Hes out at least a play if not the game.
  22. At this time last year we were pounding our fists for a LT. We chose the 2nd TE on most boards. I dont see a RB right now other than Love from ND, but you never know. Im not saying we will or should take a RB but if they see one that they think adds that explosive play potential, then don't be surprised. Ill say the same for another WR or any position.
  23. Or draft one (rb) early if there is a player that adds explosive play potential. Johnson wants players all over the field, offense/defense, that have that. He had an acronym that I tried to look up. Just because we need DE/DT/S doesnt mean we draft them round 1. They will take the best player that they like.
