Safety almost eliminates itself with the available talent. Wherever we draft one, they will be a project imo. Looks like WR a d OT. But what if Cooper and White are both gone?

I could not live with that... . I don't like what I've read on Devin Smith WR and do we really need another project QB? They really do not turn out unless you put in time and effort. I don't think we ever made one of our QB picks a priority to develop. Devin Smith has the speed to get separation fast vertically, but is also inconsistent at tracking the ball. His routes are unproven. His speed is mainly straight-line speed and his lean frame is nearly maxed out.

With the 49th pick of the 2015 NFL draft, the KC Chiefs select....C Hronis Grasu Oregon. Grasu will replace the loss of Rodney Hudson who went to Oak and the offensive line has been addressed. The Buffalo Bills (Adam) are now on the clock....

With the 48th pick of the NFL draft, the San Diego Chargers select: Jordan Phillips NT Oklahoma The Chargers add two key pieces to their 3-4 defense, Shane Ray to attack from the edge and Phillips to use his big body to tie up the middle.

Im not sure any WR other than a first RDer will be able to be counted on to produce as a #2 year one. I just have a bad feeling the two WRs will be gone. I dont see Ray going before 7 and its a toss up between Mariota or a WR to the Jets.

Perfect. The future first is the key if we ever want to end the Cutler era. Collins would be huge and the additions of a starting NT, C, ILB. I have a feeling Mariota will be there at 7 and White Cooper Beasley will be gone. The Bears need to promote Mariota. Make a team bite on a trade for once that goes in our favor.

Exactly what I was trying to point out earlier. Pace is feeding nibblers making it look like the Bears are trying to get a Cutler for Mariota deal done with Tennessee. When Mariota falls to pick 7, which I think will happen teams will think we are getting the guy we wanted. If they inquire about a trade, they will know they have to go big.

They need defensive talent pretty bad. I have a feeling that's were the resources go.

Hub said it best in his article today regarding this. His conclusion was the Bears are bidding up his price if he does some how drop to 7. They are sayin they want him and are taking him if he is there and if any other team wants him, they better be prepared to have a serious offer. Doesn't that make sense? No team will take on Cutlers contract the way it is. The Bears will not be giving up future firsts for a project QB. The way it is going to fall is Cooper and White will go before our pick and Mariota will be there. The Bears will trade down.

Next years QB draft class is much better. At least 4 first round prospects, we will end up with Christian Hackleberg from Penn St.

With the 18th pick, the KC Chiefs select: Erik Flowers OLT Miami KC values line play, they are eyeing WR Strong but finding a solid LT is a higher priority. Cleveland Browns are on the clock...

I like the picks if they were taken one round later. OT Cedric Ogbuehi was a top OT candidate until his injury, I would take the flier on him in RD3. RD2, we need to find a defensive starter in CB/S/Dline/ or ILB.

Did you guys see that no one bid on an autographed Cutler football at a benefit auction? This is how I feel every time I see an article trying to stir up more Jay Cutler talk on FB or Yahoo news etc.

Only because of the bpa mentality. If Fowler and Beasley are gone, id be happy with White or Cooper. Ray and Gregory are in the next tier. I think either Cooper or White would be great additions, even though I am a offensive line and beast rb guy.

I would be fine with Waynes but 3-5 spots later imo. I like Rowe who was a 4th rd prospect now hitting 2nd rounds on some mocks. Utah has little coverage, but if he was at MSU or another big school, I think he would be rd one talent also. S

As much as I agree, I wonder what happens if Cooper, White, and Beasley are gone and we are looking at Mariota at 7. Is he a sure thing being a project already? Project as in getting him into a pro system and reads. He could be your next Brees or your next David Carr.

I think the Bears need to keep 5.8 million just for the rookie class salary last I seen. That leaves more like 5 million to work with.

I wouldn't say there is no way if one is sitting there at 7 and we have a much higher grade on them than any other player. It is not likely though and WR is looking more like our pick.

Yes, he had surgery to repair a torn labrum. I would say his strength would be none to very limited until it's healed and rehabbed. Hard to say how far out he is.
