When will we find an identity? Maybe it is what the media gives us, but it seems we don't have a leader on that side that rallys the troops. When the defense takes the field, we should be on the edge of our seats. We should see LBs mug the line, question the O with alignment movement, and consistant attacks from different personnel. Besides Fuller and Young, who else has shined? Maybe Kyle Fuller develops into that leader vocally and performance, but I would like to see a MLB or S since they are usually calling the alignments and blitzes. The way our roster is composed contract wise, the Bears really shouldn't draft a high LB unless one can be all that. Four guys to keep an eye on are Perryman from Miami, Kendricks UCLA, McKinney Miss St. , and AJ Johnson Tenn. Perryman and Kendricks stand 6 foot with 4.7 speed and Johnson 6-2 McKinney 6-5 are a little quicker. Measurables are a plus, but I want a type A leadership like Ray Lewis provided in Baltimore. Same thing from the S position, draft a leader that can keep the DBs in line and hold accountability. Prewitt Ole Miss, Drummon Mich St, or Smith Fresno St. are on my early list. For the time being, here's to hoping Briggs and Allen find it in themselves to be mad they are below mediocre.

I would say Ola's experience has him up to game speed after starting 3 games. Leno is promising, but more raw and unless you want the QB hurt......wait a second...just kidding. Hopefully Bushrods secretive injury is not long term. The whole thing seems fishy, like he tripped over the coffe table or something.

In regards to INTs, some are on the QB and some the WR. The one to Marshall was obviously a miscommunication on a timed route. Who's fault that was? I'd blame the WR. You will see those from time to time. In the NFL, you have to throw anticipated routes especially when playing man instead of zone. Right now, some of the best Brees/Brady look average or even horrendous in there last prime time games. If football was easy and perfect as we want, would it really be fun to watch? We watch because its a roller coaster ride with bumps and turns. Hoping that it was put together with an awesome ending and not falling off the track.

I recently heard the players are wearing RFID tags which show speed and position for coaching purposes. It would be interesting to see results during parts of the game as in speed acceleration on a player breaking away on a TD.
-
It could've been a little better, but playing against an 19 man defense doesn't help (7 field judges plus booth).

I would think we may be searching the waivers if Famiatta is out for a few weeks. Emery has had his work cut out for him with all the injuries.
-
Our D line should look much better against GBs Oline. I see a few big hits, but AR still getting some big throws in to Jordy. We will have to stop the run to have success. Bears 31- Pack 28!
-
Big win. Green Bay at home with a depleted roster but I think the Bears come in with a +4 on the odds. Dline needs to improve, but another decent showing from Tucker. If only the injury bug wasn't biting in Illinois still.
-
If Fuller sees the flag, might as well run it. Free play basically.

The kid must have slept with Trestmans daughter, has been outbof sight since early tc.
-
Nice play, easy td. +1 Cutler
-
He looks lost without Marshall too
-
Good thing almosts don't count!

Should have ran it and punted. Never good after an injury...
-
Not good hearing him yell "nooo". Seems like the Tillman reaction.

Is there any kind of time table given on McClellin's broken hand? The sad thing was he was progressing and did a really nice job against SF. I know a few don't care and just want him gone, but I'd like to see him do well.
-
Shucks, Shea McClellin will not play Monday night against the Jets. Hand injury is the reason. Just as he starts doing good, he gets hurt again. Hopefully a quick recovery bc I'd like to see him develop and we get a little redemption on the draft pick.

Last season, Trestman was an unknown, Jeffery was an unknown, Bennett was a chance after one decent year in NY, Cutler ran through how many systems, Oline was an unknown.... McCown came into this as an unknown and took the reins late in the season and he did good. He didn't win games for us though. If he came in and won 3 of 4, different story. To compare them now isn't fair and pointless. To play woulda shoulda coulda is fantasy. To see the Bears lose and the topic comes up again, it is what it is. It sure seemed once a cheap shot on Jay happened, the team bonded like big brothers and wanted revenge.

I wonder if this is the new NFL? Shuffling the bottom 5-10 players up and down to the practice squad. Has this been normal in the past?
-
Bear down! Hope has been restored with this game.
-
We know it will happen. Cutler with 4 tds and a W is all that matters today. The season was revived behind him leading.
-
I think we can lay this to rest. Case closed
-
How bout that Bears bros! Our rookie with the pick and Cutler with 3 TDs
-
Holding to 3 is like a victory

Props to Jay, guy is tough SOB
