  1. The obvious...and common amongst this board. Caleb Williams QB - no brainer. The Bears finally get a QB and the timing is perfect. Malik Nabers or Rome Odinze WR- even with Allen and Moore, the Bears need a strong WR Corp and these 2 should become prime players with MHJ, of course. Laiautu Latu DE - I feel he can come in and dominate more so that Turner. If Poles wants to make a defensive splash, Latu can do it. Trading down... Michael Thomas Jr WR- the kid is smart and wants to be great. Include the measurables and production, he has the culture the Bears look for. Dariaus Robinson DE- he has size and arm length to hold or collapse the line. Add him to Dexter, Billings, and Sweat, the front 4 will be stout. Bralen Trice DE- similiar to Robinson having that size. Zach Frazier C - if the Bears can find the sources to get their long term anchor, it would be a blessing. Great centers seem to be a key to winning the 3rd and short battles. Zac Zinter G - he may start off behind with having a bad leg break, but getting a future stud G that fits the run scheme will help keep the Bears strong competitors when decisions have to be made with Davis and Jenkins. DT- there are a handful of 3rd-4th round prospects that can fit this rotation. Maason Smith LSU can be a diamond or Ruke Orhoharo, Kris Jenkins.
  2. I am stuck on this scenario. The Bears use Rome Odunze as trade bait and Indy bites. Bears get pick 15 and 44 while still landing a WR prospect that can line up at X and give Caleb a lengthy target. Round 2, they get a DE with size and arm length who can collapse the edge. Round 3, at DT prospect to rotate with Dexter. Round 4, G depth that can be a future staple to strong running game. 2025 they can use their 1st on a LT and round 2 get that stud Center and most likely a S.
  3. Can we change the name of this board? I suggest "The not so great Justin vs Caleb debate." 😝 This should be a fun/great time to discuss every prospect but the one who is 99% locked as our number 1 pick and been discussed since December. Turn the page and let's discuss Latu, Turner, and Verse. Or Ozume, Naber, Bowers, and Thomas Jr. Who fits the scheme and team best etc.
  4. The o line had weaknesses and they basically had only one WR that could be counted on besides Kmet. When the oline consistently gets pushed into the pocket, the QB is pressured and scrambled. Is Center addressed with Bates an Co., we will see. Can the LT take on strength and bull rushes, we will see. Is Keenen Allen enough to give the QB 2 targets for the season...
  5. It sure is a good time to be a Bears fan. To possibly finally have a long term answer at QB is like winning the draft for a decade. Get a DE or WR at 9 and the draft is a W, regardless of whoever else is taken rd 3 and 4. Come 2025 draft, the rebuild process will get the finishing touches and the Bears should be in Superbowl contention.
  6. That was why early on, I looked at Washington DE Bralen Trice who is a mid-late 2nd rd. He doesn't have the bend, has size, and can hold the edge while able to put pressure on the QB. If they want the nimble, Turner at 9 or even the kid from Penn St, Chop Robinson who can be had by moving down. The question is would Odunze, Turner, or a OT at 9 be enough to get the Bears into contention.
  7. I started a collection years ago of autographed jerseys. Have Sayers, Butkus, Singletary, Urlacher, and Hester. Been hanging in the closet for years but want to build frames and add some swag like a card or picture with some gold etching with the name and achievements.
  8. We should do some breakdowns, and on separate posts covering 1 WR, 2 DE, 3 OT. Guys to target with pick 9 or in a trade down. I feel Poles can get a WR and DE in a trade down, for example Brian Thomas Jr WR at 17 and Brlen Trice DE round 2. Neither guys would be considered tier 1, but with Moore/Allen and Sweat, these two can develop into solid good/great starters. Or at 9, grab another possible probowler.
  9. Maybe Poles and the scouting team are ahead of th curve and traded these picks ahead of the draft knowing.
  10. Here is my take, did the complete round 1. Bears end up with: 1.1 Caleb Williams QB 1.17 Brian Thomas Jr WR. (9 for 17, 48, 2025 3rd) 2.48 Darius Robinson DE 3.75 Branden Fiske DT 4.122 Tanor Bortolini C
  11. Wow, pretty close to the one I will post in a second.
  12. With a new OC and QB, the Bears need any addition time to prepare. This is another blessing that has gone Chicago's way. How many blessings can we get?
  13. I apologize, it's hard to read with screen shots. There's a handful but even go down to 9.5, the list is large.
  14. One part, yes. I figured I would drop some nuggets to help compile a list of targets at WR, DE, DT, OT. My biggest surprise was seeing where a top rated DE like Turner scored. I think we can get a good prospect later in the draft or round 2. WRs all seem to hit that 9.9 mark, so you almost have to judge off other metrics.
  15. Here are DE RAS scores. The highest are at the bottom. Does this remove Dallas Turner and elevate Jared Verse in Poles eyes?
  16. With a new OC and QB, they will need the extra time. Crazy how good things just keep lining up for the Bears.
  17. It should be close, but I do not see Williams or hope not to see him running as much as Fields. Swift= Herbert plus Foreman for carries (230). Swift was a true #1 back getting over 70% of the touches. It will be interesting to see how Waldron plays these RBs. In Seattle, he had 100 less rushes but Walker and Charbonette had over 100 a piece. Waldron will need to run more than he did in Seattle.
  18. Take away JF team leading 657 rushing yds and the Bears are mediocre, around 1800 yds, ranking 17th. To say we are a great rushing team is unknown. Swift will help but it will need to be discovered if the Bears can get off the bus running or not.
  19. My trade 9 to get a 2nd round hope. Trade 9 to Jax for 17, 48, and 2025 6th. This gets the Bears QB, X WR, stout C, and two DT depth pieces for Washington to work with.
  20. But after the top few players, it is a crap shoot where or who can draft you. Teams might dig deep on 100 players they think they would be interested in. They don't have an option to return their pick if a medical is discovered. This might become a norm but only for the top player or few.
  21. That was my last little mock I slid in the Keenan Allen thread. I know Allen doesn't particular like the slot, so him and Moore should be interchangeable there. Thomas would be nice fit if they cannot get MHJ.
  22. Depends on what teams are looking for. Nabers = Tyreek Hill, MHJ= Randy Moss. If a team needs a big X, MHJ is the man. If they want an explosive XYZ guy, then Nabers. I don't think you can go wrong with either, but the Bears need the X to nail their Corp down
