As much as I would love to add Garrett or Crosby, I am okay sitting idle until the trade deadline if needed. I am excited seeing DA prototype edges projected in the next draft too. I would say the Poles era personal/scout team evaluate these things and maybe why they were fine not addressing the position using a higher value draft pick this year. The prospects, I believe are projected to be better talented players as well. So we sacrifice not drafting a Bryce Young when we want/need a franchise Qab, because we think Caleb Williams and his class will be better next year.

I believe this is normal for many teams. Im trying to recall if they joint practice with 2 teams or just one. It may have been 2 before the extra week was added to regular season.

What a disaster. Illinois makes up a tax number which is 5 times more than any other NFL pays and the spin it on the Bears for not accepting it. The Bears want a fair tax number, some infrastructure help with roads etc, and that is it. So if they move, that tax that was never collected before goes to Indiana and Illinois saves from the infrastructure contributions the Bears asked for. Seems to me the greedy hands of Illinois are going to lose out for their greed.

The Bears do a great job on these post draft videos. It makes you feel good about the players taken and the whole scouting department working together. I am excited to watch the season play out and then the next class of talent come in.

Wright was not very good in coverage, he had some clutch turnovers to make up for it and it was fun to root for him but lost a lot of 3rd down conversions. He gave up 800 yds in completions compared to Jaylon Johnson 517 in 2024 or 279 in 2023. Even Greg Gabriel said Decker is washed up and not better than what the Bears have. I am glad Poles stayed away from spending on washed up FAs.

I dont know if it will help attract FAs or the cap because thats completely separate. Each team has to meet the cap limits (min/max). Now coaching, facilities, and other expenses to operate it could affect.

After we trade Kmet to the Panthers, it will be a revenge game too.

Correct, ive mentioned that earlier. The Bears save cap because TEs make less and you are only playing one or two. That also makes Zav Thomas more valuable as a player who could line up at WR/RB.

Poles seems to find the odd advantages. Loading up on DBs and now coverage LBs. Both have to do with a passing league. Now if he can figure out Oline, which seems much better and then Dline (kryptonite)

I think the Bears told him "sorry kid, it doesn't look good and if you recover, come back". They own his contact for 3 years. White can concentrate on rehab or another career.

A lot of smoke for a kid that wasnt drafted or signed initially as an udfa. He might pick up the plays faster, but dont think the 3rd rounder is not smart, watch his tape. They had him doing a lot at LSU. He will be like Burton coming on late. When he clicks, the Bears have pieces to exploit any defense.

Turner was announced by the bears after the draft as being versatile defensive lineman for playing across the line. Id rather see him as a 3T for his size, but they played him outside when shorthanded and thats were they need him now...since they didnt add any. .

I think they believe they added to the DE with drafting Booker, signing Dayo, and then drafting Turner. Booker has shown flashes, Turner hasnt had much opportunity, and according to Dennis Allen, Dayo was starting to come along when he got hurt. But first round prospect, no. They should've taken Verse instead of Odunze bc they wont be in position to get a top 10 prospect for a while.

Ive see at least 2-3 DEs that would Allen's fits next draft. I can see that with Sweat, Dayo, Booker, and Turner that the edge room has investment in it, more competition would have been nice, so I'll give them a year. DT, they decided 3 FAs and a 6th rd is good, we will see. Those have to be addressed soon with higher ceiling talent.

Seeing the potential with this class. Hope they all turn out to be great. When a team has grown as much as the Bears, they can narrow their search for the types of players the need/want. Next draft they will need to repeat nailing 5 positions and then the rest getting next man up at OL, TE/WR. I have 2 DT, 1 DE, 1 RB, 1 S
