Punt is now the new word not in Nagys vocabulary. It used to be Run. He did not do his D any favors either by going for it on 4th 4 times and failing on them all. Fast way to lose faith from the D and it will spread to the O. Nagys best offensive season was his first and he has not shown any improvement and only regression. If Fields saves his job, I hope Fields puts him in his place on some of his game decisions.

We seem to be stuck in a cycle of getting close which entices a trade for the final piece which that piece requires a huge contract and that contract and trade keep this team from drafting and developing their own. At some point you need break the cycle.

Pace trading for Fields is a huge plus for him as of today. If Fields fails then that is the nail in his coffin. Nagy can earn his plus by developing Fields or just by winning. If the Bears lose bad, then they should first hire the GM and allow him to decide Nagys fate.

Sarcasm for sure, but I am imagining Jenkins driving Mack to the sidelines after the whistle..

Rumors circling around camp is the Bears are protecting Kahlil Mack from Jenkins. They do not want them two to destroy each other this early.

Depending on what the FA QB market looks like, the Bears should ask for a 3rd. Indy should offer a 5th and they settle on a 4th. I did read indy will not make this trade thus early. Maybe not enough cap?

Jake Butt TE has retired 1 day into TC. Jesse James signing makes more sense now.

No issues with adding another reliable set of hands like James. I like having good veterans like him and Graham surrounding Kmet to help him grow.

If they hit the nail on the head with Fields, he will make mediocre WRs better. The Bears not betting long on AR are counting on Mooney and Kmet to take bigger roles in the passing game and maybe someone else to step up. If no one steps up, you can still franchise or sign AR next year. They can also use a 2nd RD pick next season too.

Almost feels like a fix. Seems too good to be true with how Fields has everything to be the best of all time. Smarts, arm strength, speed, durability, played against tough competition. We will need to find the right pieces to dismantle Mahomes every year to win multiple Superbowls.
