This fills the blocking Y TE position while Burton, Holtz, and Horstad can play the U. Raymond might be in the mix yet and Shaheen and Braunecker will fight for a roster spot. If they add another TE, it will be a draft prospect.

One player Castillo may convince the Bears to draft is Runyan Jr. He coached him at Michigan and coached his dad at Philly.

The Bears need more than added competition for the TE position, they need legitimate starters. I don't know much about Harris, but trust he is starter material as a blocking TE.

Or a WR to catch a few deep passes early on to make defenses respect the whole field. That could help the run but we probably wouldn't call any run plays anyways.

It is all a bit unrealistic, but it is the time to dream. Most of these guys will go higher than slotted here but to see the Bears land most of the position needs would be nice. After watching KC, the Bears need speed (Reager/McFarlans). They need the playcaller to be a little smarter and the QB to feel confident.

I agree. The Bears are not going to put the offense and QB in jeopardy with an unknown LT. They might bring in competition and take a look, but this player would have to prove undoubtedly that they would be better. No NFL team is going to let a average/decent LT hit FA and to find a LT in the middle of round 2 makes it unrealistic. Not saying they won't draft a LT, but to find one that can be ready to start (strength, knowledge of plays) year one is difficult. Hopefully they find one in the draft that scares the sh@t out if Leno and puts him on notice.

It is good to know there is a process, but then again the people he has to ask have a bad track record.

I wonder if NFL teams have protocols in place for situations like that. Knowing this could be Paces last chance, he could trade multiple future picks away. That could really hurt the team long term and make it difficult finding a replacement GM.

It hits most positions of need. They need to trade a second and gain a 3rd and then I see a S. Can they find another Amos? This will be a heck of an offseason with little resources in cap and picks. Narrow the search and have a firm grip, don't leave your boundaries. Pray for health and they can make some noise.

Trading down off the bat put me in a handy cap, but I could be happy here. Georgia north: Fromm, Wims, Riley, and speedster Robertson. I'd love to see a light bulb turn on for our drafted qb and him succeed for the next 7-10 years, but if you can get them two do it.

Blazing speed at wr would be nice, but fixing the oline and establishing a run game are just as critical. They signed undrafted fa Hall last year and they didnt see a fit bc he was a one trick pony. This is a deep wr class, so maybe they can find a talent on day 3.

They should draft 1 or 2 every year, as Jason would say, and I approve. Look at SF how was built. Use those high picks on the beef (OL/DL)...wheres the beef? Unless you can get a QB, premium pass rusher, or shutdown CB, they should always go that route imo.

I seen some things I liked from him which made me think Von Miller. With Mack, Hicks, and Goldman, you would think someone's job should be easy. Floyd just cannot seem to establish a pass rush, so I'd be good with bringing in competition from the draft if they find an affordable route to keep him.

I feel these coaches need to be de-flipped, DeFilippo OC and Lazor QB coach. I like some of these moves. New minds to prepare the players. Could make a difference or could backfire?
