  1. Nice dig. I have a feeling Nall has a role this season. I know he is working on his speed and agility this offseason but I cannot find the link. This is one write up that has me thinking Nall could be much more if used right. https://www.playerprofiler.com/article/ryan-nall-advanced-stats-metrics-analytics-profile.
  2. I did not think re-signing your own had an impact on the compensation process. Anyways, great signing imo. I thought he may go to Denver to rejoin Fangio. He is a solid #3 and can spot start if needed. This relieves the need to find OLB in the draft, unless someone we like happens to be there.
  3. Brad Biggs has good sources and he mentions that it was likely Howard didn't make the 53. That was before the trade and I thought he was crazy. Nagy wants a specific fit that Howard didn't match.
  4. He has not lived up to his draft status so far and I think Nagy would like to run more 2 and 3 TE sets. They are not getting Kelce production out of the group they have either.
  5. Dax is also 24 years old. He served a church mission. He did seem to have nice hands in traffic. Wesco is more a blocking TE, but he can catch well too. He seems like the stiffest in the bunch but plays like an animal wanting to eat.
  6. TE's we can get in the later rounds. I think Wesco would become a Chicago favorite with his swag. Kahale Warring, San Diego St Dax Raymond, Utah https://watchstadium.com/videos/dax-raymond-utah-state-football-highlights-2018-season-football Trevon Wesco, West Virginia https://watchstadium.com/videos/trevon-wesco-west-virginia-football-highlights-2018-season-football Kendall Blanton, Missouri
  7. I wouldn't hesitate using the late 3rd on Love, even though it is our highest pick. Round 3 is alright to take the risk on a player who would have been a rd 1 player if he entered the draft last season. If they feel the need to grab another, get that Alex Barnes KS, later on day 3.
  8. Who do I love, I like this kid out of Stanford. Has amazing burst that can shred defenses. His ACL will make it possible for us to draft him and it will be a cause for concern. One reason I wouldn't be shy to draft him is Todd Gurley. He plays hard and will play through pain. I believe he can become a better receiver than Stanford used him. He has faced good teams ND, USC, UCLA, Wash, Oregon and he shined. Davis, Cohen, Nall, Love and Patterson would bring a balance of speed and versatility that Nagy could get creative with. RB is now a bigger need and I can see Pace finding "conviction" in making sure he gets his guy. Who is Bryce Love?
  9. 27 days until the draft. Let's get started on some serious draft talk. What positions and players do you think we need? This year has us limited on picks, but we can find some gems. As George Thorogood said, "Who do you love":
  10. I thought possibly a 4th rd comp pic, but 5th at least if we kept him. Now the Eagles may get that comp for a year of service. The trade also nets us 2 plus million in extra cap space to help us re-sign Floyd/Whitehair early which will help the cap down the road. Our trenches are getting secured long term. Come 2020, we will have 9 or 10 picks to restock with youth or have ammo to move around. I think Chase Daniel gets extended to lower his cap too adding to the security of keeping the core intact long term. We can see what the draft has to offer for RB and if we dont like a guy, then maybe sign TJ Yeldon or Bilial Powell.
  11. The Bears have traded Jordan Howard to the Eagles for a 6th rd pick.
  12. True, it took getting over that hump. It took getting the QB, which helped get the coach. Now the team is nearly set without needing much in FA. We are already slated to gain a 4th and 5th in the 2020 draft for losing Callahan and Amos. If we can continue to draft well and sign cheap FAs, the gains will grow when we do lose our own to FA, like Howard next off season.
  13. Pace said today in a presser how many FAs expressed interest in wanting to join this organization. The Bears finally established a culture. We have a young GM, young HC, and a young QB which can give us many years of winning. As long as Pace stays on this course it is possible.
  14. Henderson looks like he can do it all with catching and running. I would be alright with him. I don't mind spending a 3rd either. Howard has one year left and he is moving on. I would rather draft replacements a year early so they are groomed and ready.
  15. I am not big on the WR/TE. I would think we will draft CB and S higher since Prince, Skrine and Dix may not be long term.
  16. We can forget about getting Callahan back. He joined Fangio in Denver. Signs a 3 year 21 million deal with 10 guaranteed.
  17. He is a jack of all trades but master none...except returning. I think Nagy will take what NE got out of him and add a twist.
  18. For some reason, I still would love for the Bears to draft Love. He was my gut feeling early on. Which ever way Pace goes I would buy in on.
  19. Amos cashed in big time. 9 mil per year, 21 mil in the first 2 years. All for an SS.

    Acho Cut

They are making room for sure. I see Callahan and Amos both back, but now we have a big hole at OLB. Would Acho sign a one year? Do they go after Lynch again? Or maybe someone like Suggs is on the radar.
  21. No reason to spend draft capital on a G this season. If we need a backup, keep Witzman. Glad he did this and freed up money.
  22. Bring it all to an end. Chinese restaurants brings young girls in every 90 days and crams them in a small apartments just for cheap labor. Ask one, they are trafficked too. This country is full of slaves and that awaking is happening. Sorry to rant here, but this is one sick world with enslavement and the superbowl is the top day for it.
  23. If Love came out last year, he might have snuck into the first. He had a so so year and then torn the ACL. We might get lucky and get him later than a 3rd. I've been pushing him, he has the speed. Greg Gabriel told me he isnt an established receiver, but I think he would be better there than Howard with work.
  24. Singletary would be a good 4th rd pick, I would be on board. His name would be welcome in Chicago also. Taking a G early depends on if they can get Long to restructure. I'd love to see Long stay healthy for our Superbowl runs. They may take OL round 3 anyways if a BPA is waiting for us to swoop him up.
  25. Duke could be a possibility. I still think we find another 4-5th rd pick to fill that roll. Someone that has enough size to carry the load but more speed than Howard.
