Mock Drafts
This is tough and I think Poles makes it simple by taking Oline at 39 and Pierce at 48 or 71 if there?. My wishful thinking: A: Christian Watson - most gifted with athleticism for his size. Would be a weapon not only for getting deep against single coverage, but running jet sweeps or end around and even kickoffs. Having a QB that can run like Fields would make a fake jet sweep deadly. B. George Pickens - I think he progresses quicker as a WR and puts up solid numbers year after year as long as he stays healthy. His ability matches Dallas WR Michael Gallup. Pickens would be a solid X receiver. C. Alec Pierce - I like everything I see from him but question why he is slated between rounds 2-3. If we can get him round 3, I would ne amazed at out GMs skill. That means he gets OL, DT, or CBs in RD2.

Eberflus Expects Drafting 3 Starters
Not many teams need a center. The teams that do might have other needs that have a higher priority.

Eberflus Expects Drafting 3 Starters
They had Larry Ogunjobi in their early offseason sights, so meeting with Haskell was for rotational depth, not starter thoughts most likely. Now that Jones is slated to start there, maybe the invest a higher pick.

Eberflus Expects Drafting 3 Starters
The Bears met with Haskell Garrett at the senior bowl. I think he might be a 3rd/4th rounder and he is a 3T prospect.

Mock Drafts
I can see the Bears using a 5th on TE or a gadget RB/WR to replace Grant/Cohen. Bo Melton maybe?

The draft article pit...
This was from a Poles interview earlier. Maybe he does put higher value in getting a lockdown CB than Flus does? Poles value chart. 1.QB, 2.OTs, 3. Pass Rush 4. CBs 5. LBs, 6. FS. Tells you how he might view the draft and FA. Bears may look OT and CB with 2nd and 3rd if they don't see a OLT on the roster.

Compensation Projection 2023
I completely agree here. A team should not be rewarded for signing a player on a one year deal when they move to another team the next year.

Compensation Projection 2023
It is good and bad. I guarantee if the Bears were in line for picks every year like New England, no one would be upset with the process. New England rarely has a pick in the top half of the draft, so they are like a factory that can develop players that are coveted in FA. Pls they don't need to buy players in FA because the next guy is there to step in.

The draft article pit...
If Jenkins and Borum can lock down the OTs, then we are in better shape than imagined. Since they targeted G Ryan Bates, I almost think they have planned to go that route initially. Starting caliber Guards can be found round 3, that is almost the sweet spot for them.

I also think Seattle trades WR DJ Metcalf for a 1st RD pick during the draft. I would give them pick 39 straight up for him giving them 3 picks in a row. Otherwise, I would trade down unless a OL or WR is there that they want. WRs will be slim the way teams ate them up in FA.

Mock Drafts
I'd be ecstatic to get Raimann and Pierce with our 2nds. Moore I'd be okay with but he would be splitting time with Pringle which is there is nothing wrong having competition. Salyer and Cross would be two nice pieces too.

Compensation Projection 2023
Shows how bad/mediocre the Bears have been over the years. They trade draft picks for premium players, they struggle to develop their own, and they cut players before their contract expires. If they did these things well, they get rewarded with picks. The Bears just need to hit reset completely like they did, suck for a year, and break that mediocre plague.

Mock Drafts
We will see. I don't think they avoid the defense completely when CB and 3T are huge needs too. They might even take a S or LB. Now if they do take two WRs, that is great because we only have Mooney and the unknowns. All I am saying is I don't think the Bears invest everything on offense. I see them spending one 2nd or 3rd rounder spent on D and also a 5th.

Compensation Projection 2023
As of today, the Bears are not projected to be awarded any Compensation Picks. I do not like how they rated these because I feel like we lost a ton more than gained. Have to see what Hicks signs for and who else the Bears sign. Robinsons contract could get us a 3rd as long as it is 15.5.

Trade Quinn?
I am all for it. With or without Quinn, the Bears roster is not going to be very good. Looking at the division, as of now, the Bears have the worst roster IMO. It is a huge pill to swallow, but they should take it and put themselves in position to be a high pick with better QBs projected making those picks worth alot more.

Mock Drafts
They need to improve fast because of now, they look like they are finishing last in the division. Maybe that is the idea to rebuild by getting a high slot next year with a full deck of cards. That can put them in position to trade down to gain future high picks.

Mock Drafts
I see Poles getting good players year 1 despite needs. Not saying needs wont be the first target but he is not passing up a top rated 3T/DB for the 7th rated WR especially if they are higher on the overall board. If they are tied, then maybe go WR. Bears will be a bottom 5-10 team unless Fields takes a huge leap. That is hard to see right now. Bears 5 WRs - X = St Brown. Y=Mooney Z=Pringle Newsome= Y/Z Coulter=X/Y. I can only see them drafting high 1 WR to compete at the X. The can almost use a TE #2 before adding a 2nd WR in the draft. Oline - depends since they missed out on Bates, but could use 1 OT/1 OG.

Mock Drafts
I think if they get 1 good WR for the X, that has greatness potential, I am good with taking only 1. Unless a stud is there rd 3 like John Metchie that can replace Pringle if he doesn't work or works so well his price tag is too much. It is good to space out positions too so they all don't become FAs in the same year.

1st annual "I'd Sh!t Myself" draft...?
He is not going to be flashy but has a good connection with Fields and is more of a traditional TE. I think similiar Pitt TE Pat Freiermuth was a player comparison.

1st annual "I'd Sh!t Myself" draft...?
I spent a little time watching film on both Pickens and Watson. I am intrigued by Watson and like his athletic abilities on KR and running jet sweeps, but Pickens I believe will be the better WR that can be a deep threat opposite of Mooney. The only hesitant feeling I get with Pickens is Georgia andt I think of Wims and Ridley . I need to watch some Pierce film. I do know the Bears sent a team to watch him at his pro day and skipped Ohio States. Either way, the target is the X position which St. Brown will also compete for. If we can land at offensive lineman and one of the three WRs Pickens,Watson, Or Pierce, I'd be happy on the start. They could go 3T and DB too, but they need to focus on building around QB.

1st annual "I'd Sh!t Myself" draft...?
My choice would be Ohio St TE Jeremy Ruckert. If they can net a high 4th round pick, I think he can be had there.
-
1st annual "I'd Sh!t Myself" draft...?
Seems we are all on the same page for what we want. Kendrick has no college team to return to and got in some legal trouble otherwise he'd be 1st or 2nd rd talent. I would not have taken Evans the round before if I knew Kendrick was on the board even though hes a high risk

Free agency begins
I do think we got a good ascending player in Pringle. With him slated playing slot, Mooney plays Z, we still need a go to X. Players in draft that fit a outside bigger target are NDS Christian Watson and UG George Pickens. I think St Brown was also brought in for this position.

Free agency begins
How do Smith and Jenkins compare? I'd like both on my line. I was thinking Smith projected out as a Guard.

Off season movement
He just turned 30 on April 3rd. I am all for finding a replacement in the 6th, 7th, or UDFA. Maybe someone who is Badee Azz.
