Let's hope they have a bad hire or two for HC. New HC could mean new philosophies, new players etc and as we have seen it is not easy.
-
I hope so. Gave up on him the past few weeks. He is another dimension if they can get him rolling. With Trubisky missing most likely, I'd love to see a Howard show.

And there went my fantasy season.... Jordan Howard is back in my lineup

Not sure what the cap hit would be or if any FAs would hit the market that would be an improvement. Jordan Mills? or Jake Fisher are two that will have youth and maybe upside. I know Kyle Ling would love to have Mills back next to him. There are a small handful of OTs and we know good ones don't hit FA.

I was a little worried endorsing Massie, but I do not see an upgrade stepping in next year. Keep that continuity along the line and we can draft a decent prospect in 2020. If a decent one falls to the late 3rd, then maybe get that guy a year early. Feels great seeing the blossoms starting to form into fruit.

Massie is a free agent after this season, he would be the first one I would target to bring back. I would front load the deal to give us an out after 1 year. I would not feel condident putting Cowerd in or a draftee and risking Trubisky or our marginal run game. If they want to experiment next season, start mixing that replacement player in like they did with Daniels. I would also look at keeping Callahan.

Jordan is still getting the same amount of carries per game as last year. He average 15.75 last year and 14.71 this year so far. Face it, he is not the same back as he was the last two seasons. Maybe it is the blocking? In the offseason, if they can muster a 3rd rd pick for him, I would consider, only because he seems to be producing less.

Doesn't seem real. I don't like the outcome either, but get us there I like the chances of getting back better than 2006.

Did a mock. Was getting excited seeing Bryce Love RB slipping in this mock, but wasn't trading up. Round 3 Pick 25: Anderson, Rodney, RB, Oklahoma (A+) Possibly the highest rated RB but has been plagued with injuries. He can be a 3 down back. Would make a great compliment to Howard and Cohen and eventually replace Howard. Round 4 Pick 26: Dillard, Andre, OT, Washington State (A-) Looks like a good LT prospect but can play RT too. He will be a rd 2-3 prospect but getting an OT is high priority Round 5 Pick 26: Jones, Hootie, SS, Alabama (C-) Give me a C-, but Hootie doesn't allow completions, has size to match up w TEs, and can tackle. Pair him with Eddie Jackson again. Round 7 Pick 26: Adderley, Nassir, CB, Delaware (A+) Like his IQ and heart. Nichols old teammate. Plays FS but they list him at CB. Need some young talent to groom regardless. Round 7 from Phi...OLB or BPA. I know it is early to start, but been on the recliner not feeling like moving much ? So found the old first-pick.com site.

Depends on value. If Alvin Kamara is there in round 3, better believe I am taking him. Drafts are coming down to bpa with fewer team needs and Pace has shown he will pass a need like OLB this last draft. We know OT and S/CB will be high priority, but if the value is not there and you cannot trade out you take a player you like.
-
Looking more like Chase. Mitch didn't practice and gave no weekly presser.
-
I like Ryan Nall as that next RB but would not be surprised if they grab one if value is there. They cannot come into the draft with slotted needs, so i expect so upside youth signed in FA. Still think they draft: S/CB or both, OT, OLB, and RB could be a wildcard.

I either thought or said before he was actually available that the Bears shouldn't give up that much capital. Glad i was wrong, Mack is a top 4-5 player in the nfl counting all positions.
-
Sims may decide to give up football after two concussions. Glad Shaheen is activated, he adds another dimension imo.

I don't feel they have moving on from Howard in their minds yet. I think what we are seeing is Nagy giving Mitchell Trubisky every opportunity to grow and learn this offense and that is why we see the plays we do. Nagy was brought here to develop MT. Nagy has said it will take a year to learn just the concepts, so he is shoving as much down as he can. MT wins SBs, RBs are compliments.

Mack, Shaheen, Nichols, and Robinson All Back at Practice

Shaheen is a huge redzone target. If he figures out how to use that body there are not many LBs or DBs that can defend him. -
The writing is on the wall for White here. Someone like New England will gladly take him and build the offense for him. Look at Cordelle Patterson. Can't run routes but can make plays with the ball in his hands and a little space. White can get up and catch the ball, not much versatility as we have seen, but can do that well. Speaking of Patterson, that is what I hoped the Bears would have done with Hester.
