Cool in a way, he has our house as his biggest nemesis. We are getting closer, but still haven't been able to bring him down. When he returns, hopefully we are full speed and what we saw in the first half game one will be 4 quarters every game here on out.

If Wims was on a college team that relied more on the passing attack, he would have been more highly sought. We got a potential steal, but he has more learning to do. Speaking of Ridley, his brother plays for Georgia and was considered their best prospect but I saw more out of Wims. Wims was clutch and strong. I'm ok letting him learn more if that is how Nagy and Furer see it, but cannot wait until he gets his turn.

Glass always half full here. I think that lightning strike at the start of the GB game raised expectations so high that when the Bears fell back closer to reality, disappointment set in. Fans needed a reason for that feeling and you find faults to lay blame. Well, I'm all in for the ups and downs. I'm willing to let Tru settle in because he has been antsy. Antsy because he has high expectations on himself. Wait until he finds the ice, that's all he needs, and he can make strides. The great thing is we may have one of the most exciting Defenses the NFL has seen...in the first halves of games so far lol. My lord, they are going to win many games alone. The defense is absolutely stunning so far. Hicks, Mack, and RRH are too much for any team to handle. Too bad for Aaron, would rather see him still in there taking the lumps.

The first defensive player taken by Ryan Pace. The first piece to Fangios D. NTs usually don't lead in stats. They force teams to double or triple team. Fangio took over a poor D and elevated it to a top 10 and now possibly a top 5. This is his center piece. 2 years from now the money will be average. Kudos to Pace for keeping this core intact long term and proving the Bears are not cheap and reward their own.

How does he compare to other NTs? He is one of the most important pieces to a 3-4, so that has some value. With the addition of Mack, someone somewhere along the line will benefit. I'd say Goldman stands a good chance.

I am glad we got Nall back, same as Gentry. I was surprised they didn't retain Jordan Morgan OG but they had about 2 years to see him. Tolliver making the 53 shows he has the potential, was hoping for Doren Grant to slip in too. Since we traded for Mack, the next two years will be difficult to fill the next "big" need we find, so it will be more developmental projects and dipping into FA. Everything is in place now, the destiny rests on the shoulders of Mitch. With the D we have, we can if need be rely on them to win.

Your post here also points to the draft. This team is nearly set other than adding an OT and maybe DB depth. 2019 we get developmental players to groom.

Great analysis AZ. I was onto Nall early when someone else brought him up as a potential pick. Burton is your true FB but Nall is a weapon who can do it all RB/FB/TE/WR. He has may not have the initial burst speed but he is ranked at the top once he gets going.
