Sarcasm for sure, but I am imagining Jenkins driving Mack to the sidelines after the whistle..

Rumors circling around camp is the Bears are protecting Kahlil Mack from Jenkins. They do not want them two to destroy each other this early.
  5. Depending on what the FA QB market looks like, the Bears should ask for a 3rd. Indy should offer a 5th and they settle on a 4th. I did read indy will not make this trade thus early. Maybe not enough cap?
  6. BearFan NYC, what is the minimum you want for Foles? 5th again?

Jake Butt TE has retired 1 day into TC. Jesse James signing makes more sense now.
  8. No issues with adding another reliable set of hands like James. I like having good veterans like him and Graham surrounding Kmet to help him grow.
  9. If they hit the nail on the head with Fields, he will make mediocre WRs better. The Bears not betting long on AR are counting on Mooney and Kmet to take bigger roles in the passing game and maybe someone else to step up. If no one steps up, you can still franchise or sign AR next year. They can also use a 2nd RD pick next season too.
  10. Almost feels like a fix. Seems too good to be true with how Fields has everything to be the best of all time. Smarts, arm strength, speed, durability, played against tough competition. We will need to find the right pieces to dismantle Mahomes every year to win multiple Superbowls.
  11. More Goldman workouts.
  12. That is not for strength training. Either for warming up or working on speed.
  13. I love the location and view where Soldier Field is, but Chicago deserves a top 2-3 stadium. If the McCaskeys can bring that by moving, then so be it. Just think Soldier Field is on a mere 7 acres. The Arlington Heights location is for 365 acres. Not only space for all the parking, but other developments. I hope the city gets creative with a better design and offer, but highly doubt it.
  14. I hate seeing this and would not doubt if the unnamed source is the Chicago Bears. The Bears may want answers and have pushed their chips in to find out if Goldman folds or goes all in as well. Either way, the leak damages Goldman IMO.
  15. Hard to say with Roquan. He is under contract for 2 more years. It would be a gamble as you said he could become All-Pro. But I bet Roquan already has his eyes on the top slot for ILB pay. The payoff is the gamble on health. How much discount does he give for getting that next contract 2 years early.
  16. I was at the Atlanta game when Grossman replaced Orton, that was one of the coldest. Also went to a Houston game when David Carr whipped the Bears in the cold.
  17. I am not opposed to a retractable roof. If Arlington Heights happens, it won't be until 2033.
  18. Sounds like Nagy knew he would miss and expects him to show at TC. "Nagy said that he spoke with Goldman a day earlier on Monday. “Obviously, I’m going to keep that [discussion] between us,” Nagy said. “But we do expect him to be at training camp rocking and rolling.”"
  19. I think it is also unlikely and a good reason to use a high draft pick on one next draft. Pace needs to build around Fields. Something he did not do to well for Mitch.
  20. Landing Justin Fields added a new chapter that no one knew was coming. We figured this book was ending with the Red Rifle leading the Bears down a tanking season with hopes of landing a top 1-3 pick next year. Could you imagine going through that scenario and then the top QB prospect is from North Carolina. That would have been a nightmare. The magic that just happened guaranteed a sequel. As I look at this team and it's new needs, next season I am thinking they are looking for a WR and CB as high priority (2-3). It would be nice to get another WR with size and also find a solid replacement for Fuller. Then (5,6, & 7) S, OLB, ILB, & DT are all needs the D will soon need and I can see another OT for depth and maybe TE on offense. By landing Fields, the Bears have put themselves back into a SB window many years earlier.

Was Kyle Long in camp with the Bears? (Kyle Long signed with KC Chiefs) Love this team adding speed. If they can establish a balance, they could be good. Need a decent to strong run game.
  22. This is mainly the D vets. They are still getting the scheme assignments through their tablets. Look at it this way, this gives opportunity to younger players to showcase and step up if needed. If the vets are worried about losing their job, they'd be there
  23. The good thing is he should be healed by training camp according to the updated article. Seems to be a theme with our players though.
  24. This sure seems different doesnt it? In a way, I feel like they got the best QB prospect in the draft. Time will tell.
  25. When he speaks at the podium, like recently after practice #1 or 2, he sounded like a veteran. He says the right things. I think he will be ready sooner than later to start, but want him to take everything he can in and learn from Dalton and Foles.
