ASHKUM BEAR

Nall is a hard one to figure out. He might be best as a Trey Burton clone as H back/TE, but this kid can play RB too. Him and Cohen can add a lot of mystery to an offense by moving to RB or slot etc. Nall was one of the most elusive backs in college by causing missed tackles. I think Helfrich has a great idea on how to use him seeing him personally play.

He is more elusive, than a run you over back. He might fit as a full back/H-back but don't count him out at RB. He is big, but Steven Jackson or Derek Henry was comparable with weight and speed too. I hope he makes the 53, I see him making big plays with the type of offense Nagy/Helfrich bring. If they keep a FB, he can block but he is much more dangerous with the ball.

Not saying they are the same or he is as good, but Nall has vision and sneaky speed. I think he will become a weapon for the Bears. I am surprised he wasn't drafted and glad he chose us. He must have seen the fit also. Below is a clip of him in action.

Been seeing the Bears getting the top grade quite a bit. Good for Ryan Pace, he has had some ups and downs, but I think since he has got here the team is in much better shape. Next year is projected to be strong at OT and the Bears will need at least one. The fun we have been missing should start, even though the division is one of the toughest in the NFL.

It will be interesting to see. Go back to September and there was a topic on here about Whitehair being the worst C. I think it would be best to put Daniels at C and leave him there instead of a year at G then move him the following year to C. My guess is Pace made that comment about starting Daniels at LG to appease Whitehair. Whitehair has publically said he wants to stay at C before the draft.

I think that is great. Now they need to work with each player to keep them bought in. It is easy to broadcast what you want to achieve with posters, but interacting one on one with each player regularly and pushing those messages will make it sink in and become them. Nagy is bringing the right atmosphere and he seems like a person that will make it the teams culture.

I seen that. I think between Willie Young, Lamar Houston, Junior Gallette, and now Avril we should see one brought in. As for OT, I would like to see HH kick the tires on Greg Robinson. A former 1st RD pick, he might be worthless or maybe the right coach can get him to reach his potential. If they fill those two voids, I would feel much better about team depth.

You sold me on Edmunds. You were one of the early ones on ILB for sure.

I will admit you did push for him about a week or two before the draft but can't recall much more before that. I remember an early mock I did and suggested ILB and I was told it wasn't even a need.

Thanks for the additional info. I wanted to get a look at the new additions on the roster and see what they may be looking for yet before the season and even afterwards. We will be short a 2nd rd pick, which is fine if Miller comes through, which as of today looks slotted to go to a OT if I had my choice.

To be honest, I wanted Edmunds because of all the intangibles he has. Fitzpatrick was close because he also had intangibles to play basically any position in the backfield. This doesnt mean I dont like Roquan, it was me over thinking his position and wanting that bigger profile with speed who could be lined up in or outside. Looking at it now, I believe they made the right choice because Roquan can lead, has better instincts, and should be a top ILB year in and out for a decade. I admit I had no idea what Pace would do because of who was slotted around 8 but know now he did the best thing.

Now that the draft is complete and the Bears have added a handful of playmakers this offseason, there still are a few voids I thought may be been addressed but have not. I suspect they may keep a close eye on the players cut/waivers and maybe bring in more UDFA's. If not filled this season, it will be priorities for next. OT - Unless Morgan plays OT, it seems we are light going into camp here. This position will be thinner at years end also because Massie's contract will expire. I thought it might be a position they filled in the draft this year and was watching for Tyrell Crosby. As of now, this has to be in consideration for the 1st RD pick in 2019. Taylor Lewan or Jake Matthews would be good candidates in FA after the season. OLB - The Bears added Kylie Fitts in the 6th RD and Aaron Lynch in FA, but it is still not a position of strength. UDFA's added were Norris, Trumbetti, Walker, and Rotini to see if any can stick. I suspect if no one steps up, this will be another position addressed in FA or high in the draft. Clowney and Shaq Barrett are a few interesting FA's that could be available next off season. NT - Depends on Eddie Goldman, if he re-signs it will be mute. If they cannot meet in terms, NT will be a high priority. Nichols who was a 5th RD selection might be able to fill in but might need some added muscle to man the NT. S - Depends on Adrian Amos. They still might look for an upgrade but if they re-sign him it is less priority. CB - The Bears seem content with Fuller and Prince going into the season. They added Tolliver, Joseph, and Fant in UDFA, who will bring competition. This position might be locked down for 2 years but I projected a mid rounder to be brought in to develop. Tolliver may end up being that guy.

I went with Anthony Miller WR even though it was close or even with Roquan Smith. I think Miller will become a favorite target with Robinson drawing extra attention and he will put up monster numbers. It is hard to take Daniels lightly also, he was a steal. Hearing Pace take about Iggy, makes me think he will become something special too. He stayed true to his value board and didn't pass on him even though he had Smith.

And if we did a this is my final type mock draft and held each other accountable, can we sustain a mutual Bear board friendship? It would be a fun exercise. I know I had different thoughts on who we ended up with and hate a few picks, but give the benefit of doubt. I never kept track on players from previous years except if one did well. Start one next year, I will participate

If he is the top backup for Smith or envisioned as the LB next to him, he has a role. You don't get depth through UDFA, as we are used to.

He was clutch, able to come down with throws in big games. Ridley's brother was there top target, but Wims was what you want to compliment. A reliable guy who works under the shadows and does more than credit is given. Those guys work hard to not be recognized.

I think you got them right. You really dont want to hit rd 4 or after hoping for starters. The Bears had one spot to fill at OLB imo, but if you don't address rd 1 or 2 how can you expect them to be NFL ready year 1. Fitts can develop and maybe year two takes over for Lynch and Houston/FA brought in. I wanted a OT to develop to replace Massey, guess that is a hot prospect next year now. This team is nearing completion and drafts will become trading down and drafting kids to bring along instead of bringing in to start.

With the 7th, the Bears select Javon Wims WR Georgia. I have been wanting him for a long time. They got a slot and Wynn who will become a solid outside WR. Love this pick the most right now. Think he can be special

Ankle and foot is his injury history. Maybe a year of NFL work can get the strength built up and he can become a force. He has intangibles to be a good player but was restricted with injury. I dont see him starting right away, so look for the Bears to bring in Houston or even Willie Young.

We got our OLB - Kylie Fitts Utah Good pick, I looked at him early and thought he could fit.

One thing about the draft, we get most of our info from internet gurus. Looking at were players go, we are off course more often than not. We see our needs, but don't know Pace and Nagys plan and their targets. There are still some names I've projected as 3rd rounders available in rd 6. My player, hope like heck we get him is Quenton Meeks CB. Like Equan St Brown as a bigger target WR. Aruna at OLB. Holton Hill CB. We will see what Pace and co think

Sounds like he is more of a DE, that can move inside. Good upside and depth was a need on dline. It's not like Bullard or RRH can slide to NT and moving Hicks inside takes him away from a position he excels at.

Sucks that Josh Sweat OLB, a need, went a little later to PHI. This kid better be just as special as Roquan bc they are similar. They probably fell in love with him when looking at backup plans if Smith was not available
