I hate Trent Dilfer, I didn't like him as a player and I hate him even more as he is so biased and its obvious. His hatred for the Bears is sickening. Then again this is a guy who thought he was a great QB. LOL.

Anybody watch the MNF Game Yesterday? Bears Related

To tell you the truth I am not sure if he has even been active yet. Just like DA and Iglesias haven't been active yet either. -
Good point about Orton. He was having a heisman type season his senior year until he got hurt. He then rushed things and came back early but it was evident that he wasn't 100% and so of course draft time came and his stock fell because of injury and because at Purdue he really only used the shotgun formation. Most experts had him going in the late 2nd to early 3rd round and he was the 1st pick on day 2 in the 4th round. I remember that year that there was quite a few players that fell quite a bit due to injuries or what have you.

I agree about OchoCinco. He is just out there having alot of fun, of course its at the expense of the other team but at least he doesn't single handley destroy a team from within. Neither one of them has won anything in there career but at least Ochocinco comes with alot less gray hairs and red flags.

Acutally most of us have been complaining about McKie for quite sometime. I would love to get the smash mouth FB as well, unfortunately our staff likes the old until there is 1 person that sticks out so much to the point where he is a stud. The staff in the past has refused just to make changes even during the game. -
I agree with your 2nd point. I wouldn't mind taking a stab at him for the right price but I would much rather fix the Oline and the secondary before I go adding a TO or any stud WR for that matter.

So far out of all the QB's on there website Cade McNown leads the pack at 31%. 27 QB's are on the list. Amazingly enough 2% of the people think that Cutler is the worst even above Moses Moreno and Henry Burris lol.
-
Yeah I know what you mean. Can we just say everyone since Favre entered the league lol.
-
Listening on the score today they said they have a poll on there website and thought it was very interesting. Not quite like your normal polls. I wanted to see what everyone thought lol. Who is the WORST Bears QB of all time???
-
He was selected with the fourth pick of the fifth round of the 2005 NFL Draft out of Clemson University. He spent his entire rookie season in 2005 with the Chicago Bears on injured reserve. In the 2006 season he was again placed on injured reserve on September 29, 2006 soon after playing his first NFL game. He was released on May 7, 2007. Here is the site that I got this from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airese_Currie

Currie was indeed hurt his entire time with us and I wonder if he was even active for 1 game when he was with us.

I finally found the answer to my question that I posted earlier. Man, does that go back a very long time. Most of us here were probably not born yet or extremely young to remember this. http://www.chicagobears.com/news/ChalkTalk...p?story_id=6184

I think we all know that if Cutler continues his great work over the next couple games that we will. I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that we will resign prior to seasons end.
-
I checked that guy and he only had 1 100+ rating game the entire season. He was pretty bad throwing INT's every game except like 1 game.
-
Alright I have seen several places that indicate that the feat of Jay cutler having 3 straight games of 100 QB rating or better is a 1st for a Bears QB in 39 years. However in ever place that I have checked no where does it indicate who did it. I know in 1970 was the merger. Am I assuming right that he just became the 1st Bears QB to do it period since the AFL-NFL merger??? Also who was the last QB to have done this in 4 straight games. Any stats would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think Wale will keep up the torrid pace but I agree with your assessment of 12 sacks though. However, I am sure he would give us a hometown discount for the fact that he is near the end of his career and I am sure he would want a ring and can possibly get it with us if he sticks around. I am not sure about Anderson, I know he has been pretty good this year so far but I am not sure what to think because of the last 2 years. I agree with DT of course because outside of the INT by Harris, he hasn't done much and even with that he fell down and when he got back up the ball was right there for him. I don't particularly care for Adams as much as others do because he isn't consistent. I would like to see what Gilbert can possibly do though. Its not like he can do worse than the current group has so far.

I agree. I watched both the Notre Dame game on Saturday and then our game on Sunday and it was funny how I was screaming the same thing all weekend. Talk about a broken record, I was going nuts. What drove me nuts during both games also was absolutely piss poor officiating as well. During the ND game they threw a flag for roughing the snapper. I didn't know this was a penalty and BTW the play by play guys were amazed at that one as well, they never heard of it themselves and of course the snapper was barely even touched anyways. Then I watch our game and saw some of the calls. lol.

I agree about upgrading the oline but I would look to keep both the DE FA's and then look to get 1 in the draft. I think we are much more desire to get a DT though instead of DE. And for anyone who thinks our Oline sucks just look up north to GB. I know what my friend is saying and he is a Packer fan lol.
-
I think it speaks to how bad GB's Oline really is. Aaron Rodgers is a good QB with a QB rating of 101.1 with 6 td's compared to just 1 INT. The problem is that he has been sacked 20 times already in just 4 games. That would be on pace to be sacked 80 times, which would break the record that was set in 2002 when David Carr was a rookie when he got punished and was sacked 76 times.

I'm not to worried. In the past few years we have complained about our coaches inability to make halftime adjustments. Now this year we have been making those adjustments and we play great in the 2nd half. Of course I wish we could play great all the time and I would like to see us trying to make changes before halftime. I think I heard the biggest adjustment we made was we shifted our CB's and had Tillman on Johnson instead of Bowman and it paid off big time as Johnson only got 24 yards in the 2nd half. This year we have complained about the offense's inability to start a game and they responded by smacking Detroit to begin the game. With all of the adjustments that I see the coaches making and some players stepping up and putting the bodies on the line(cutler) I am not to worried. I think you are going to start seeing a different defense after the bye as it looks like we will be getting ALL injured players back except Urlacher of course. I guess my only question is with the great play that we have seen from Roach do we possibly try to move him to middle and take over for Hillenmeyer. Nothing against Hilly at all as I love the guy but I think Roach is a better player who plays faster and more physical.
-
Since week 1 Cutler is 66-93 for 624 yards 8td's(1rush) I INT for a QB rating of 109.7 and comp pct of 70.9%. Its amazing how much the media was bashing him after the GB game and now all of sudden there tone is completely different lol.
-
Special Teams was the key because it made sure the offense didn't have to go far for a score. I'm not taking anything away from the great D in the 2nd half who went for jugular and put an opponent away. Great half time adjustment. This is the first time all year that Cutler wasn't forced to do anything in the 4th quarter, it was really nice to see especially considering that was in thanks to the running game finally shwoing up. Great time for the bye week as we should be close to fully healthy for week 6 as we have a couple of good games coming up and we will need them. Lets start with a little revenge on Atlanta.
-
No kidding, we win the game while scoring 48 pts and some people are still pissed. Hey we won, so lighten up. It doesn't matter who you beat or how you win just as long as you win. I said earlier that our defense plays better in the 2nd half and I was proven right once again.
