  1. I believe that if he struggles in the 1st half then he will be done and I point to the fact that the coaching staff has already made several changes where in the past they were always unwilling to change and always stuck to the guys that they liked i.e. Rex Grossman.
  2. I know its annoying. Its much more annoying going to work with someone who is a Steelers fan and hates everything about Chicago teams. He litteraly walks around calling Holmes, "Mr. MVP"
  3. Thanks for letting us know, I just changed it.
  4. I wouldn't go as far to asking people to leave because they believe the sky is falling. I will just sit back and remember these people for when they try to take credit for something that they thought the season was over with.

    NEW DT

What else does Marinelli have up his sleeves. http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?story_id=6121
  6. Here's an idea, but maybe its just the homerism in me. Hester is WR/PR only and Knox is WR/KR only. Manning just concentrates on playing great solid defense. We will go as far as our defense will take us I believe. Let Knox return kicks until he proves that he can't do because his average sucks or he starts to fumble the ball. However I bet if Knox returns kicks the rest of the year he will break at least 1 if not 2 or 3. He is very explosive with the ball in his hands and he reminds me ALOT of Hester when he first came in to the league. The difference is that Knox has better hands and has a true position that he has played for a long time unlike Hester, who had no true position.
  7. WOW, Schlereth is blaming someone other than Cutler for once, im shocked. The problem is the CASUAL FAN watching the game is that after the game they see the box score where it said Cutler = 4 int's. So to them its ALL Cutler's fault because there is no stat for WR for failure to come back to the ball or failure to run through the intended route and failure to do whatever except dropped balls.
  8. According to NFL mobil live Kellen Davis WILL play in 2 TE formations. As much as I like DM returning kicks I have no problem with Knox back there. I know that Pix and I have been his biggest fan but when he produces we will sit there and say I told you so. The problem with Knox returning kicks is that he has so much speed he struggles to quickly change directions IMO.
  9. Great article as always. keep up the good work.
  10. http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?story_id=6117 What is your take on the new guy. I don't know anything about him.
  11. Great point, I didn't realize that he played the Mike with the Rams.
  12. I can't imagine any safety will be quick to do so especially seeing Knox and Hester out there together lol.
  13. I also look at the Seattle game in week 3. Beating Seattle in Seattle isn't easy and we shouldn't look at the game as such an easy win. Playing in Seattle is tough because of there fans. Good thing this year though is that we have Cutler and he showed us during the GB game that he has the ability to put things in the past. Throwing 3 picks in the 1st half is extremely bad however he came out in the 3rd period and had a perfect 158.3 QB rating in the 3rd and had a good 4th quarter while giving us the lead with 2 minutes to go.
  14. Right this has well been said that as good as Urlacher is he is not genuis out there like Mike Brown was. Mike Brown was such a genius that he just knew where to be at the right time. Its been said that Hunter has great insticts because of how much of a genius that he is. I agree that there is going to be a drop off but lets remember that Hunter has been with us for a long time now and although he didn't play all that well when Urlacher went down in 2004 Hunter was just starting his stay with us and was fairly new to the system. Now he knows this system inside and out and has the luxury of knowing where all the LB's should be lined up and should be able to help Roach/williams out if there are problems or they forget something or maybe that he sees something while they don't because they are new.
  15. Your right as Indy just got news that Gonzalez could be out for up to 8 weeks now instead.
  16. You can't expect a QB to come in to a NEW system with inexperienced WR's and think they would produce immediately. Most of us agreed that there would be growing pains, so why the hell is the sky falling after just 1 game.
  17. I agree and although Beekman has performed well we still haven't given him much of a chance either so far, which is really disappointing.
  18. Great point, most of us agreed that we have a good team but how many honestly believed that we will win the superbowl for the next 10 years just because we get Cutler. 1 person doesn't make your team a superbowl champion. It takes the combination of 22+ players to do so.
  19. Most of you know that I deliver the Chicago Tribune and while I was delivering it I saw a little headline that said Bowman to get the nod, but I didn't have time to read it so I came home and found the article. Many of us were hoping it would happen and I think this is the coaching staff saying that they aren't afraid to make changes like we thought in the past. Kudos to Lovie Smith. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,1143111.story
  20. Screw Hub, it doesn't matter what he thinks. All the so called experts say that our WR's suck. These will be the same guys that when Hester blows up for 150 yards and 2 TD's they will be sitting right there and saying "See, what did I tell you, I told you he would be good." Just remember all the nay sayers and watch how much they flop around its horrible. I believe our WR's are much better than what they are given credit for. Pix and I have been saying since the draft that Knox is going to be a really good WR especially if he can improve his route running skills. The problem with our WR's except for Davis is the lack of experience. Hester has only been in the position for 2 years. This is Bennett's 1st year really, DA hasn't played yet, Knox has played 1 game, Iglesias hasn't played yet.
  21. Hey Connor do you know how long DA is out. And did Davis do anything at all this past game I don't recall his name even being mentioned on offense that is. I did of course see him on ST.
  22. If we are to win this game it will come down to the DLine applying aLOT of pressure on Big Ben. Big Ben is extremely slippery and if we aren't sure on tackling him he WILL destroy us.
  23. If this guy was any good then why would he dropped during the season. Please I would pass, like has been said that Cutler needs time to develop with this current set of receivers. I believe we will be just fine at WR.
  24. According to the Park district soldier field and the surrounding area is meant for war vets and memorials then why is there a statue of Papa Bear Halas. I understand that he is the founder and everything but he isn't a war vet. Since its for "war vets" how about a statue then for Gale Sayers, as he spent time serving.
