  1. He's missed a total of 13 games since becoming a starter his rookie year in Denver. 11 years now in the league. That's actually pretty darn good. And 6 of those games came in 1 yr. This is my point. Like I said. "for the most part" he's been available.
  2. Wait now the defense's problem is cutler??? Now that's a huge flipping leap. That defense can't even get off the field. Even in the 1st quarter when they should be well rested. I blame cutler for a lot of things. But I will not criticism him because the defense can't get after the quarterback, can't make tackles. Gets blown up and point of attack, and all the other things. Something of which Jay has absolutely nothing to deal with. Now if we consistently saw the defense get stops and then Jay and offense goes 3 and out and it was clearly the defense was tired because of all the 3 and outs fine then maybe I'll put some blame on Jay. But go back and watch the 1st of half of that Houston game. You know that game where the offense barely even had the ball because every Texans drive was long. I'm sorry but that wasn't Jay's doing.
  3. This absolutely. It's 1 thing for fans to ridicule. But completely different to watch players crush him when they can't even get on The field. Ask any coaches or gm and they are in complete agreement. The majority of this all comes down to a simple phrase "are you available to work each and every week. For the most part over the course of Jay's career the answer is simply yes. He is as tough as the come. Sure we never know which Jay will show but at least he's available to work. I haven't seen that from Mcphee much.
  4. Absolutely. Let's remember he did have a good year last yr as a rookie. Which is another reason this regime felt good letting go of forte
  5. Ok so you just made my point for me. Jim Miller was the last dude the media didn't go out of there way to try and destroy. That goes back along time especially in the NFL. Combine that with the fact this organization can't ever find a franchise QB in most of our lifetimes and you see what I'm Saying. Why would a qb even want to come here if they had a choice. It's extremely sad but totally true. Don't get me wrong Jay absolutely is at fault because it's like half the time he can't even get out of his own way. I do wonder how much of that is to blame on Angelo and company for going out and getting him but not doing enough to put the talent around him to help him succeed. Between bad olines and dreadful WRs which I remember we all bitched about. But that's also something we will never know. I really do want him fine at end of the yr and we draft a replacement high and then actually help develop his ass. That's something I haven't seen this organization do in how long? I let the older guys answer that as I admit I don't remember back into the 70s and years prior.
  6. And I totally get all that. I to agree enough is enough. I'm not calling any one specific person out. I'm talking more in general what majority of fans and what I've witnessed our media do. It's almost as if who ever is at the helm isn't even allowed to make a single mistake otherwise they to will be destroyed until they leave town.
  7. What was proposed didn't have anything to do with draft picks though. It was about getting cook and Roberts. If we can get multiple 1s I'd entertain the idea otherwise there's no way I'm letting him go when he can be a big part of the future as he is still young
  8. GB isn't getting one after another after another. They got lucky having farve to Rodgers. Even there own front office people from that draft will even say they never even wanted Rodgers but they felt forced into it because of how far he fell in that draft. They even tried to trade out of it with no luck. I know it feels like that's all GB does is turnover another great QB after another all the time. Take at NFL history. You can count on 1 hand how many teams have gone from 1 HOF QB to another with no down time. Now look at how many times it's happened 3 times in a row. ZERO times. So history tells me when Rodgers hangs it up GB will be bad for awhile. Even my packers friends and family acknowledge that. I very much blame this whole organization for not being able to find and develop any franchise QB's. But I blame the fans and media over the last 15+ years that we don't even give them time before we crush them. Much more the media. Even my dad who hates the bears especially cutler has said the criticism is way over the top. Ever notice if a qb in there 1st couple games doesn't come out and set the world on fire they will ridicule, make up stories til that person is run out of town. Even then it doesn't stop for awhile. Maybe this is because 3 hrs north in GB thry have had a franchise guy since 92 and our front office can't seem to find 1 guy. I hope im making sense. Not surprised if I'm not
  9. I am also in that camp with you. Which is why I support letting him go after the year
  10. Yup. I've seen it before. Just like with cubs. They kept fooling ourselves thinking we could compete. But it wasn't til Theo and company came in and completely dismantled everything did they truly start rebuilding. Maybe the difference is Theo came straight out and told ppl what that plan was and that it would take awhile and pleaded for patience with the fans. I don't recall pace actually saying that but it's exactly what he's doing
  11. And once again you forget cutler didn't quit in the NFC championship game. If you recall correctly it was also said that if we had win that game Jay would have been very questionable to play. But of course many already have there own narrative for him and they simple ignore all other things that don't fit that narrative. This is what drives me insane. Fine I get it you hate. Don't care but let's not lie about it either and become another Stephen a Smith. Where he calls him the worst qb in the league. This is what I meant the other day. The fans here treat anyone who is a starting qb here at the time like absolute garbage. And then all the media bs as well. Why in the world would any quarterback want to come here unless they either had no choice because we drafted them or they were desperate for a pay check. I'm a die-hard fan and I've stepped back and watched how the fans and media have treated the #1 guy and it makes me sick. Doesn't matter who that #1 guy is either.
  12. For me like others it all starts up front as well. My #1 pick would be that LT of future. Stop messing around. Won't matter who the qb is if we can't protect him. In FA yes I'm going after anyone and everyone who can destroy qb's
  13. Being a big Norte Dame fan I love kizer but I'm not entirely sure he will be that franchise guy. And although he can run he's not a running style qb as he's always looking to throw before he even thinks about running. I don't know what it is. Call it gut feeling he doesn't translate to the NFL well
  14. But this is 1st time in awhile that nobody is on a long term deal really,. Salary has been dumped and older players who won't fit the future have been either released it traded away. Other yrs they weren't going about it correctly otherwise we never would have had the oldest roster in the league last yr. That's exactly what the current regime inherited.
  15. Yeah I agree. And giving Barkley 2 big receivers in Jeffery and white he might be able to do something. And like you said nothing to lose
  16. So your ok with replacing the coaches and restarting the rebuild all over again,
  17. The browns played the 1st half then completely forgot to come out for 2nd half. Hmm sounds familiar lol
  18. Honestly yes I do think so but if we keep turning over the coaching staff every 2 yrs then no
  19. Good god that's a long list all from 1 game
  20. No surprise here. Needed to have a 2nd healthy qb on roster and it's not like we even utilize a db anymore
  21. This is exactly what I've been trying to say. If we just change staffs again then we are no better than the browns
  22. I actually do believe he's gone as his cap hit will be basically nothing by releasing him. We couldn't do that before this season Because of the $20M cap hut
  23. That's the problem. New England knows we would give up a lot and thry would use that against us and make us pay through the nose which could spell more problems for the future
  24. I think that has to wait till after the session
  25. Very much agree. Even with cutler I was only seeing 5. Now I'm lost
