  1. I wouldn't touch white hair. He excelled last yr and he's still learning. Could get even better. I for one don't like the constant flipping guys around

    WOW

Absolutely dead on. Pace is betting on himself here with this draft

    WOW

Sad we are talking about how many years they have abused us. Let's hope when I turn 57 we aren't still talking about this lol
  4. That's a valid point. But clearly pace thinks trubisky is that dude but when FA opened up it was no guarantee we could even get trubisky so he got Glennon. Paid him what a starter gets and wrote the deal up in a team friendly way that didn't prohibit the team from grabbing someone this yr in the 1st
  5. I assume he just provides depth. Anyone know if he was any good last year with Seattle
  6. Exactly and nobody can say that Glennon thought he was being signed as the franchise QB. I think everyone knew we were taking a qb in the draft. Maybe not with #2 pick overall but if he thought he was going into 2017 with no competition at all then he is naive
  7. A little unfair to trubisky couldn't even beat out Marquis. Anyone want to look up the success the dude had down there. He did pretty damn good down there and college coaches don't give a damn about developing these guys for the pros. They only care about winning games today. Not in 5 yrs. The way I see it is trubisky kept his head down and kept his mouth shut worked his ass off and waited for his chance. And when given a chance he excelled. No body knows if he will be great or not. But to grade a draft before guys even put the Jersey on is extremely horrible and they only do it to get ppl to continue talking about it until camp opens
  8. This is exactly why I ignore anything the media says. Any one notice when the story came out that fox was pissed that the writer immediately walked his statement back. Listening to pace he clearly says on many different occasions that every time they went down to chapel Hill to visit with trubisky that fox was right there side by side with him. The media isn't so much reliable anymore. They love to create fake stories just to create drama and create more story lines that gets everyone all worked up
  9. Yeah, that's not good. Honestly I'm not upset by that. Now if they had said fox is pissed at this move then I'm worried. Sure it would be nice for everyone to be on the same page and know days in advance but that's not always reality. Also. When did pace come the thought that he was taking trubisky no matter what? Was it a couple minutes? Days? Weeks? Or was it at the same time? To much we don't know
  10. Couldnt agree more. It's imperative that we protect our qb
  11. Absolutely not. Pace is doubling down and hoping 1 of 2 becomes that guy. We have been screaming for a very very very long time about the need to get a franchise QB. Pace has now doubled down on fixing the QB position. Pace is essentially putting his career as a gm on this move. I might not agree with what it took to get him but if pace ends up fixing it I honestly don't care what it takes.
  12. So you believe only those teams were willing to move up? Honestly I don't believe that for a second. I also don't believe for a second the notion that sf was only willing to move back far enough as long as they still got Thomas. I think sf had multiple scenarios going on. I wonder if the chargers tried to move up. They need a replacement for Rivers here soon. Sure it would have been costly. And I agree sf wouldn't have got Thomas then. My overall point is that we simply don't know and I doubt we will ever know. I applaud pace for having the cajones to make this move while also saying that pace had better hit and soon otherwise come January he's looking for a new job. Mega huge risk. If trubisky pans out as that franchise guy then the price we gave up doesn't matter. Only thing that matters in the end is the success or failure of trubisky
  13. Completely agree with this statement. I was floored last night. Not on getting trubisky. More on what it took. But as the night progressed and we saw what Houston and kc gave up I'm feeling much better. I know ppl will say that Houston is a QB away from competing deep in playoffs and I agree. But let's look at that just a little deeper. The traded there 2nd and osweiller to Cleveland in what was a money dump and now trade away next yrs 1st to Cleveland as well so they can take Watson. So essentially they have no picks til the 3rd Rd. With all that in mind Houston is betting everything on Watson. If he fails Houston is beyond screwed.
  14. I find it interesting that reports claim pace got a lot of phone calls regarding the #3 pick. And my thinking last night held true. Any team that was going to trade up was going to be for a qb. If this is true I would tend to believe that those same teams would have been willing to trade with sf. What we don't exactly know is which teams were talking with us and sf about that spot
  15. Yeah it drives me nuts because everyone including there own fans will admit that there oline isn't all that good. The hold all the damn time with no word. And seriously I wonder how in the world Rodgers is always getting the defense on the ridiculous 12 men on the field penalty. I see it at least 2 to 3 times every damn game yet we can go through an entire season and not see it more than a dozen times in total. Like what in the world is going on there.
  16. What I am so sick of is the media over blowing gushing love of him. They continue to act like he is the only man on the team. He can do absolute no wrong at all. And when he does struggle they just completely ignore it. At the end of this game that catch by Cook was absolutely un freakin believable. The concentration to ensure he not only caught the ball but also kept the 2 tippie toes in bounds. That was absolutely sick. And after the catch all I heard was Rodgers this and Rodgers that. Nothing about Cook.
  17. Absolutely agree. Sign him to a 1 day contract and see if he wouldn't mind coming to camp to help teach some of our returners.
  18. 1st rd for me is still garrett or Allen. We need big time playmakers. Both of whom can make a difference from day 1. I still think all 3 of the QB's are gone in the top 15 picks easily. No way any of them get into the 2nd rd. If they get past 15 I'd start making phone calls about trading back up into the back half of the 1st.
  19. I honestly don't see SF taking a RB with the #2 pick.
  20. Did a great job with getting Howard ready at a drop of a dime. He was great right away when Langford struggled/injured and obviously took the job and never looked back.
  21. This is an excellent opportunity for a veteran group of coaches. You know they will take advantage of it.
  22. Personally I don't want anything to do with Taylor. I wouldn't give him any more than a back up job. He ain't a starter and that deal had me rolling on the floor
  23. Well he does make a valid point regarding all the injuries. But seriously if a player doesn't have this goal then I don't want them on the team. I would prefer if they didn't go and talk to the media regarding it but I got no problems with it.
  24. I'd love to see that happen. He's done very well with QBs in the past.
  25. I am not interested in Romo because we are alot more than a QB away.
