  1. I only went one time a couple years ago, though I am hoping to go again this year. The link below gives you most of what you need to know. Under Trestman, I think there were morning and afternoon practices both open, but under Fox I think I read it's just morning practices, though sometimes they start at 11:30. No charge. I went to a morning practice the one time I went and it was pretty easy to get in and out. I got there early but I don't think it's a necessity. The players all walk from the locker rooms to the facility, so you can line up there at the beginning to see the players go by. There's not much to do except clap as they go by, though it's as close as you are likely to get to the players until the end. There are some radio stands set up for 670, ESPN, etc. and sometimes the players are doing interviews during camp. There are bleachers set up on one side of the camp and there really isn't a bad place to sit - usually there are defensive and offensive drills going on and some special teams as well and the day I went there was a scrimmage at the end that's pretty much just offense v. defense (not sure how typical that is). At the end the players walk back to the locker room (or wherever) and will stop and sign autographs if they feel like it, so if you're into that kind of thing, maybe line up for that early. I didn't really care, but the year I went Peanut was signing for a long time right next to where I was leaving (big surprise), so I stuck my head in and got an autograph. You get a glossy 8 1/2 x 11 or so Bears-themed thing when you walk in that you can use to get autographs on if you don't have something. Not much else to see in Bourbonnais in my opinion, though I confess I didn't venture into much of it. http://www.chicagobears.com/events/training-camp.html
  2. Numerous outlets on Twitter are reporting that he was at Halas Hall today for physicals and will participate in mandatory minicamp starting tomorrow.
  3. Another veteran with starting experience signed to a 1-year deal, though he hasn't been very good since his Super Bowl heroics. Hopefully one younger guys beats him out (Bryce Callahan, Jacoby Glenn, Demontre Hurst, Al Louis-Jean), but provides some decent insurance.

    Khaseem Greene cut

Other roster moves: DE Austen Lane also cut. Signed recent tryout players Terry Williams, NT, ECU and Kyle Woestmann, LB, Vanderbilt and Pat Devlin, a QB who was most recently with the Vikings, I think.
  5. Plus, even if they were staying in shape in the offseason, the last week has been a whirlwind of moving to a new city, getting acclimated, etc., then add on the first day of camp where the coaches want to see what you're made of.
  6. I want Jalen Ramsey next year like you read about.
  7. Signed with the Cowboys. Seems odd based on need, but whatever.
  8. Didn't Kyle Long miss it because of Oregon's late graduation? I assume since the draft has been pushed back from when it used to be, that won't be an issue for Grasu.
  9. Sounds more like the new Eben Britton than a new RT.
  10. Draft picks Langford, Amos, and Fabuluje signed today.
  11. Barksdale's still out there, though he had a tryout with the Falcons today.

    Leonard Williams

Also, I just noticed that SD gave up a 4th and a 5th next year to move from 16 to 14, so maybe a 4th alone wouldn't have done it.

    Leonard Williams

So, do you wish we would have tried to trade up for Williams? Maybe we tried, I don't know, but it's the second time in as many years that the stud first round DL second/third round WRs (DGB, Strong, Lockett etc.) or White, Goldman, and Langford?

Consider the level of competition, but these Cameron Meredith highlights are pretty impressive :

More UDFA signings: Shane Carden, QB, East Carolina (there's your QB, though he seems like a Fales clone) Jeremiah Deter, K, Toledo Qumain Black, CB, East Carolina Anthony Jefferson, S, UCLA (has potential) Chad Hamilton, OT, Coastal Carolina Cameron Jefferson, OG, Arkansas Olsen Pierre, DT, Miami

Post Bears ' signings and other relevant news here. It's already started with Alabama TE Bryan Vogler agreeing to sign with Bears. Info on him: http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2015/03...ed_pro_day.html -LS Rick Lovato, Old Dominion - WR Levi Norwood, Baylor
  22. He doesn't seem to play that fast. At least he'll have experience with our QB next year, Connor Cook.
  23. Would love to see Alford here if he slips. Maybe White can convince him. But now he's gone.
  24. Seems strange that the Bears took a C that fits best in a zone blocking scheme and a T who fits best in a power scheme.
  25. Tayo Fabuluje, OT, TCU Fabuluje had the best Pass Blocking Efficiency (97.2) for eligible LTs from the Big-12.
