Think it was the hands on the shoulders of the lineman and as they twisted the lineman turned with it.

Uhm…Williams sees Odunze stalled out short of the EZ and throws it anyhow? 😕

Banks the best player this drive. 2x penalties resulting in at least 20+ yards. Lol.

Yes and earlier in the season when they were making all those TOs the offense did little with it. Hopeful that’ll change this drive.

Not a fan of Wright (the defender) but he’s come up with a fair share of TOs so far. Well if you ignore the dropped INT earlier in the game. Edit:. Oops my bad. The “chirper” with the TO last drive. 🤷🏻♂️

Olsen is slipping. He said this was “well beyond the 4th down marker”. (Sorry pics came out reverse order).

For me it’s about 50/50 dropped passes and play calling - post scripted pass attempts by the QB. Giants have been pretty solid in the middle where Monangai does better. Meanwhile Dennis Allen and his large grade colander defense allow Dart in unmolested.

Johnson making good in-game adjustments with more outside zone running. Swift being the beneficiary. So far Giants have been stiff in the middle.

Started out (scripted plays) looking good but as has been the case most of the year, sputter when in the RZ. Still looking decent between the 20s. so far it looks like the Giants are +1 on pass RZ competitions(?). Adam?

Dart reminds me of a rawer / younger Josh Allen. Interesting Daboll is currently linked to him.

Like Olsen said I think he’s right in that most teams will go for it when in that 45-45 yard zone and short yardage to go. Especially when most defenses are struggling like both the Giants and Bears are. Chicago looks balmy to me. It’s 19F / -9C where Im at. 🥶

Greg Olsen is probably one of the best if not the best color commentators currently. We should have never traded him. 🤣

I feel (hope) a big game by Sewell today. How will the hyphen twins do? Is the newest one playing?

2025 Schedule/Opponents - Oh boy
Ah. Then I think this one comes down to coaching…and maybe homefield advantage. With the edge to Shannahan. If Johnson pulls off the win, he’d be raised a few more notches. And how about if Moody were to come back and kick for that game and the Bears win because of a last minute FG?

Year 2 QB QBR Tracker
Ah. I misread what I saw about the Falcon game. I thought they were down by one in the fourth. When in fact (ironically) Penix was actually the one trying to make the comeback for Atl.

Best and Worst of the first half of the season
Simply put, Johnson is making me a believer… at least for now. What stood out was how he used the bye week to acknowledge the offense was struggling, then simplified things and leaned into the zone-run game. Since then, his in-game adjustments have kept the momentum rolling. And for most of the other things you said. Also agree the 'worst-worst' is special teams. As I started out going into the year I'll say again, not a fan of Allen. So far his scheming as of late has done nothing to make me think better of him. There have been some great individual performances (Byard, Edmunds and Edwards among them) but overall, the coaching hasn't been all that. Adding some key players could help him but if he's such a well regarded DC then he should be able to work with what he's got available to him.

2025 Schedule/Opponents - Oh boy
Even with them both back, and assuming the defense magically rebounds because of it AND Caleb stays consistent on Offense I'd say... GB: My neighbors/friends are not at all happy with how the Packers are playing right now. They tell me they are playing like a$$. I can't tell you why that all is but one of them said, ever since the Cleveland loss earlier this year they seem to be losing focus. Cumulatively they (the fans) are convinced they won't make the playoffs. I feel the Bears should at the very least, split those two games. Browns...they seem to have been in selling mode as of late and got rid of the aforementioned Flacco while doing so. Don't think they'll pose much challenge. 49ers: Not sure what Purdy's and Kittle's return dates are but so far Jones hasn't been doing too awful filling in. With it being in SF, I could see it as a loss. Lions: agree 100%. This could be a similar situation to last year's season ending game (against the Packers) only bigger.... 50/50. And as an aside, I know its already been brought up the similarities to this year and 2018, but WHAT IF we find ourselves in the playoffs (at home) and playing against the Eagles? Do we keep Santos as our kicker until then or go with Moody? Or call back Parkey to give him a chance to redeem himself?

Year 2 QB QBR Tracker
For Maye, does the game last weekend against the Falcons count where they were down by one going into the 4th quarter and ended up winning? And believe me when I tell you as a Broncos fan how fond of him my sister is. They really like him there in Denver. That 33 point comeback against the Giants in the 4th quarter last month was pretty incredible.... Speaking of...the Bears play the Giants this weekend.

Speaking on that. See that three of our RBs are on the injury report for today listed as “Limited” (Swift, Monangai and Johnson). Not as a big of a deal on a Wednesday as say a Friday report but still worth noting. Maybe Brown’s turn to shine? 🤷🏻♂️

Tremaine Edmunds
I’m glad you were right. I’ve always been a fan of his and wanted him to succeed in Chicago.

Dayo Odeyingbo - Torn Achilles
What’s with these new guys and hyphenated names? Gardner-Johnson and now this guy? Gonnna run out of room on their jerseys at some point. Or make the font so small you won’t be able to see it.

Tremaine Edmunds
I think more of Edmunds as an old timer mostly because he’s been playing for what seems like a long time…or just doing well…esp in Buffalo. My wife doesn’t even know Byards name. Just calls him ol timer when she sees him make a play. 😆

Ditka and Lovie were different style coaches especially from one another . And both took the Bears to a Super Bowl. Johnson’s day is still to come but I think (hope) it will. And a little critique of your guy Caleb . I think a large reason why the team struggles in the Red Zone is because of him. I noticed that the first TD was a result of Johnson’s trickery and essentially taking the ball out of Williams’ hands … only to give it back to him as a receiving TD. However, as the game went along, Caleb got better. And I would hope against the Bengals defense he would. As the head into the games against tougher opponents I’m hoping both he and Johnson recognize this and focus on his (Williams’) improvement there. As far as between the 20s, Williams seems to be dialing it in. Which is a good thing.

Tremaine Edmunds
I was a fan when he was drafted. Wouldn’t have minded at the time if the Bears had gotten him. Admittedly wasn’t too overly impressed with him when he came to Chicago but you’re right, he’s grown into his role in Chicago-town. Interesting that both he and Byard (the old timers on the team) had an INT at the end of the game last week; although Byard’s was called back. He’s also been doing great this year. Most of the defensive highlights this year seem to feature both these guys each week.

Kpassagnon was cut a few weeks ago and is on the Colts currently.
