  1. Good one sluggo. If Jay pulls this off, I'll be a believer...for today. That make you feel better?
  2. Your blind man crush is way too cute for me to explain...again.
  3. Would you look at that? Jay actually does know how to play QB?
  4. What's he done to disprove me? This is the 25th(?) ranked D he's playing against? Been meaning to ask what bothers you more, the fact that I bang on Cutler or that I'm right?
  5. Haha! Your pathetic Cutler excuses knows no bounds. How about that near interception right before to Bennett? Or was that Bennetts fault? Almost?!?
  6. Kinda wonder why Foster didn't stick around? Seemed to me he was doing allright(?). Or is it that he lacks in ability to cover intermediate pass routes? Not that it matters anymore since he's now with the Redskins, still wonder who might fit that role?? SMC seems to at least be able to get the plays in and position folks on the right place. I have also noticed he's been getting better at pre-play reads.
  7. There is no doubt the defense continues to improve each week. Not knowing this defense like I did the previous two years I'm not going to expect they will regress. I'm convinced the combination of Fangio and Fox know what they are doing and won't allow it. As much as I bang on Cutler I saw improvement in his play today. He was looking through progressions and seemed to be settled a bit better than he had been in weeks 1 and 2. There were a few drives where he plain got sloppy and in one of them he, and the team, paid for it. oddly enough I think his lack of mobility actually may have helped his game. It forced him to scan the field a little more. Another thing I did like about his play was the clock management. He used a lot of ample time in reading the pre-snap sets and got his offense set to where he thought it would best work. This is encouraging. If Jay can simply not get tunnel vision and stay relaxed we may actually have something going here. I'm going to say that the team does better down the stretch. The losses and wins will be close pretty much the rest of the year.
  8. Playing the devils advocate, we almost lost with and because of Cutler. But since I'm not a fan of "almosts", I'll ask the jury to ignore that comment. That 'sloppy series' I referred to earlier almost nearly saw a close turnover when Cutler threw high on Bennett and had Bennett not been 6'6 (or whatever) and able to jump straight up, we'd very easily seen another turnover. But again that was an 'almost' so I beg your pardon. I'd say improved, not "great".
  9. Blah blah.. He played 'ok' not spectacular. Especially considering this was the 28th ranked D. Same excuse offered up against McCowns success a few years ago. When AND if he successfully continues the trend of playing at least mediocre then maybe I'll start believing the multitude of excuses.
  10. Ah... That's more like it. Should've known Bennett would somehow get the blame. He made Cutler jump in the air and throw it. Can't get much leverage doing that ergo floating duck.
  11. Stay away Mr Hyde! Jays passes are starting to get sloppy.
  12. Have to admit it's good to see J'Marcus Webb on the other team.
  13. And the leading receiver for the Bears...PERNELL FREAKN MCPHEE!!! Nice work D!!!
  14. WHY ISNT GRASU PLAYING?!? That wasn't Jays fault, I don't think. Doesn't make sense to have your guard doing this. Assuming Grasu's played center AND practiced some exchanges with Jay.
  15. Yeah, I'd hope so since he's the "starter" and paid big money to do just that! Lol indeed!
  16. Haha... I should probably remind you that they play 4 quarters, not one. But yes SO FAR he looks really good. Looking through progressions. And it might help that the Raiders D is ranked #28.
  17. Yes. A chance at what exactly remains to be seen. ?
  18. http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2015/10/4/9447...-raiders-week-4 Confirmed from other sources to include NFL.com Good luck Jay. Make us proud.
  19. Are you a fan of adversity? L Admittedly I'm more a fan of the brash, smash mouth defense than I am of a sleek offense but I'm not a fan of sacrificing one for the other.
  20. HOLY CRAP!! Would you look at that, we agree on something else?!?!?! And wasn't his rookie year marred with injuries? Our team has really only gotten one good year out of him, his 2nd, that I can count. Granted it was a great one but I mean really....
  21. Really? He's just so young to be having these malingering issues. He's fast approaching that magical number of 28 that you talked about in another thread AND he's starting to have an injury history. How can you justify a long term commitment to that? If it's a one or two year deal ... maybe but man it's a hard pill to swallow for me.
  22. Hearing the cast is off for Kyle Long. And just in time to face Khalil Mack. This should be good.... Although.... http://www.silverandblackpride.com/2015/10...with-hip-injury
  23. As much as I like AJ and this pains me to consider but our team may need move on from him. What makes it even harder to consider is our "#1" hasn't even seen the field as a professional yet.... Was Mushin Muhammad right when he said "Chicago is where wide receivers go to die"?
  24. Well thought out question. History, so far, proves he can't maintain being mistake free. We (I mean all of us and the team) could be lulled into a false sense of security if he somehow manages to string enough good games together to make EVERYONE a believer. And much like Emery did a few years ago, we would continue to bite off on the mess of a contract. I think for me to be convinced, at least this year, that he could do it is if 1) he comes back and plays without getting injured again 2) cuts down on the turnovers (notice I didn't say eliminate - trying to work with you here) and 3) bring our team to the precipice of the playoffs. Yes I said playoffs. It's still possible. Next to not but it could happen. I need to see a complete reversal from him, and maintained, before I'll believe.
