Nope. Haven't yet and don't plan on it. You ever heard of the mineral pyrite? In the old days of mining several times folks would see what they thought were large amounts of gold in their runoff from mining operations. Gold and pyrite oftentimes were found together only problem pyrite doesn't hold the same value as gold. Thus the nickname "fools gold". Until cutler strings some wins consecutively and gets the Bears in a playoff game and wins, he's pyrite. Don't jump on the bandwagon just yet. It's been known to throw a wheel time and again.

Don't forget the 2-3 tipped passes. Another by Ferguson. And, I might add, another sack by Paea. He's starting to show some good as of late. Maybe they should let Williams and Briggs take more time off?
-
Not today he didn't. But one win does not a season make.
-
Sweet Willie Young!!! X2!! He must be leading the NFL by now.. Edit ... Never mind. Saw Adams post.
-
Conte down...again
-
LB .(#53)...Or reverend.
-
Don't know about the rest of you but this Sharpton kid looks pretty good.
-
Is that JeMarcus Webb wearing #67 or Jordan Mills?
-
Of course he is... Ugh
-
So who's playing LB today? Bostic, Briggs, Williams and SMC all out. Only Greene, Jones and Sharpton (who?) left. Could they line up Allen as an OLB? Probably won't see 3-4 lineups so probably not. This is probably going to be ugly. I think the key will whether the line can get pressure, Jennings can resemble his self of the previous two years (especially two years ago) and safety coverage. I'm wondering if McManis could help in the nickel coverage? He's a pretty capable player but haven't seen him in coverage. Man if there was ever a day Cutler needs to stay away from being "Hyde" it's today.
-
Sounds like he's questionable. Not sure why.
-
So will it be Jones at Middle and Greene and Bostic on the edges at LB?
-
So did I just see that now Williams is questionable? Holy crap! Guess it's time to see what the youngsters can do.

It's good to have Garza back since he's been a pretty reliable constant for all these years. He and DLP are pretty similar in play . Besides Garza will probably be gone after this year and DLP will be starting.
-
Yeah. Was looking at some highlight film from college on him to get some idea what we were in for. But I wasn't all that impressed. I fear with Tucker as the DC Jones may not realize his full potential. Sorta how Bostic seems to be progressing... Not. Maybe they'll put it together sooner than later. My fingers are crossed.

I stand corrected. 1-1. Still....

Body of work my friend...body of work. How many times am I reminded of that stat/fact whatever you call it?

But for that very fact, we are. And sorta negates your earlier comparisons to Cutler and Grossman. My point was that on playoff records alone, Grossman (so far) has done better for Chicago than has Cutler. Grossman was not a better overall QB. Never said that. Interestingly enough you remarked that Grossman "was not the reason the team went to the Super Bowl" and at the rate its going, and referring back to your last part (bolded) nor will Cutler.

???? 2006 NFC playoffs First round: bye (won NFC North) Second round: 27-24 win over Seattle in divisional rounds (win 1) NFC Championship: 39-14 win over New Orleans (win 2) Then Super Bowl 41 loss to Indy (loss 1)

Sticks and stones Cracker. Skills wise and pocket presence wise, Cutler is by far the better QB. They are about equal when it comes to decision making. But Grossman's record speaks for itself. Playoff record (while with the Bears): Grossman 2-1 Cutler 0-1
-
He did have a better record against GB than Cutler has. Even if you're right, the team is still 2-3 at this point. Interesting.

Good to see Roberto back in time to play against his former team. Although DLP has done well. But what I'm really intrigued by is the possible starting of Christian Jones. I look forward to seeing how he does in a full game. He looked a little raw last week in spot work but something tells me he could be another gem in the making. http://www.chicagobears.com/news/article-1...b4-2bc193050e61

Similar to how McCown could have been a better (not best) option in the current regime? That was more rhetorical but I suspect you or someone will respond.
-
I would almost think Grossman was better because not only did he win a playoff game (or two) he also made it to a Super Bowl. Others would make similar comments to include Brian Billick: http://thebiglead.com/2014/10/09/brian-bil...er-jeff-george/

Funny since in this above cited article there is another where Calvin Johnson is "frustrated" with playing with a bad ankle these last few weeks and being used as a decoy. Megatron doesn't strike me as any less a player than Marshall when it comes to toughness so curious to see the disparity in this instance.
