  1. I do like that Ben had praise for Dom Rob, Hyppolite and Monongai.
  2. I think Nagy thought he was the quarterback...
  3. This is where I am. The most important things Ben can do is build trust, be authentically genuine, and command excellence on the field. The X's and O's will always be there.
  4. Rhythm and the ability to see it before it happens is everything for a QB. Cutler, Trubisky and Fields didn't have either. There's hope for Caleb to have one or both of those traits. If not, see ya...
  5. What's this? https://www.chicitysports.com/case-keenum-arm-better-chicago-bears-nfl-news
  6. The addition of Coleston Loveland...
  7. I absolutely would take Trapilo and Stewart over either of those guys.
  8. How do you know he misread the board, let alone multiple times? The running backs didn't pop off crazy, but the OL sure did.
  9. Agreed. He even said he has to put his dad in check from time to time. I liked it. Now, time for Caleb to remove umm from his vocabulary.
  10. It's actually opposite. They talk about QB's manipulating with their eyes, not their head. If you watch video of "quiet headed" QB's like Brady, Burrow, Rodgers and Stafford, they don't move their heads much. The main time you do see them move their heads are when their initial read is outside in and they have jump to the opposite side of the field. That's usually determined pre snap. I'm normal situations, they wait until they pull the trigger to flip hips and head to the target.
  11. He did, but it was usually a good decision. There are many instances of him going through progressions and being successful.
  12. I don't agree. And honestly, I don't believe you are seeing what he's doing. Daniels head is very calm in the pocket and that's what you want. He scans with his eyes then flips his hips and throws. Not staring at his primary. Defenders are too smart for this and they didn't have Randy Moss to offset that. I know you won't agree with this assessment, but it's simply my opinion. Daniels did some fantastic things last year and I don't see a letdown this year.
  13. That's a big reach of a statement. Neither are proven at their profession as of yet. Does it look good on paper? Hell yeah! Does it look good on the field? Haven't seen it yet. I very much agree we got it right, but I'm not betting a nickel on it until I see it happen. Been burnt too many times...
  14. That's my kind of hype video. I really enjoyed the dialogue and forethought of how the draft would shake out. It shows a knowledgeable and disciplined plan. I feel that they hit on Loveland, Trapilo, Stewart, Hyppolite, Newman and Monongai. Burden and Frazier have something to prove, before I get high on them.

    Battle at LT

Yea, the standard is either inside out or outside in, depending on the coverage call. Sometimes it's all right/left shoulder, again, depending on the call. They key is understanding the play call and executing. Run blocking is actually more complex. Sort of like a symphony with it's timing...
  16. Back to Luther Burden. I've read several articles lately that talk about why he fell to the second round. One article claims that he was consistently last in line to take reps on practice. Another said that he is pouty and/or mopey and coaches and other players had to help get his head straight. I'm not sure if it's boredom, maturity or physiological. Here's to hoping that a pro environment eliminates all doubt.
  17. Agreed, they have a beast of an OL. That's why I didn't include them.
  18. Context is everything. My comments were strictly on his success or failure, based on what stinger said...
  19. That makes no sense at all. If Braxton plays well, you pay him and trade away other dollars. Nothing more valuable to a quarterback than good OT's. There's no way to know if Ozzy and Kiran look good if Braxton doesn't let them on the field.
  20. Who knows what they were constrained with. Cheapness is a curse with this franchise. This is the first year I've felt they are willing to pay for something lasting...
  21. I like Wanny too. He was just so hamstrung by Mikey. I also liked Fox. Fox is the only experienced head coach they ever hired and he was at the end.
  22. Don't forget Wanny and Fox.
  23. I would never leave a franchise rookie QB watch ten seconds of film alone. Every play is an opportunity to learn and form a bond between coach and player. It actually pisses me off that they laid that burden on Caleb. I've seen video of Brady and Belichick where Bill showed Tom the difference of six inches. Football it's geometry. Tom took those lessons to the likes of Julian Edelman and made him a star. Anyone hear the phrase "third and Edelman"? The devil is in the details. Evidently Caleb had some camp and Waldren was involved; the dysfunction began there. I expect much more this year. And it ain't even close. We'll know everything by week four...
  24. GMFB had a timeline and it was all off-season until combine. Caleb loved his talk with O'Connell and Josh McCown. You hear a lot about O'Connell, but McCown is widely known to be a dude that players gravitate to, so I can see Caleb saying, I wanna play for that dude. I'm not worried one bit about this being a distraction. One meeting with Ben Johnson changed everything. I'll bet the house on that...
