  1. No disagreement here. There should be a very small amount of attention paid to who threw the ball, regardless of who threw it. But most of the credit goes to the receiver making the catch on that type of play. It's not like we're talking about one of those back shoulder lasers that require pin-point accuracy. This is a "guess I'll throw it up and see if Alshon can make the play"-throw. But it's certainly not a great throw.
  2. I've read several different reports that place him anywhere from 1-3. I contemplated moving him to rd 2 and going DB in the 3rd.
  3. Move to 3-4. Cut Peppers, Melton walks, Peanut stays for one more year, SMC stays on contract but gets transferred to turf maintenance, Jennings gets his $, Melton stays for a lessened contract, Conte is tarred and feathered. All defense since Tucker will probably get a second chance. 1. HaHa Clinton-Dix, FS, Bama - An absolute stud who starts day one 2. Darqueze Denard, CB, Michigan St - Mr. No fly zone learns for one year under Peanut. 3. Daniel McCullers, NT, Tennessee - Mountain of a man. Prototype zero technique. Perfect fit. 4. Dominique Easley, DE, Florida - He probably doesn't last this long, but maybe the ACL (two tears) scares teams off? 5. Jackson Jeffcoat, DE, Texas - Pedigree. Good 3-4 DE. Great value here and lots of potential. 6. Hakeem Smith, SS, Louisville - Older draft pick, maturity and solid tackling go hand in hand. Tough defender. 6. Tom Hornsey, P, Memphis - Punters are defensive, and it's time for a punter that doesn't suck.
  4. Great throw? Hardly. It was McNown-esque. Yes, Cade McNown to MRob. It was throwing it to a single-covered receiver and relying on superior size/talent to make the play. And Alshon almost did it. But it was hardly a great throw.
  5. I'm just saying the D deserves most blame but Cutler and the offense failed at key moments. Did Cutler play his heart out on the first drive when they had momentum after Hester's return? That kind of three and out is what changes a game around. A score there sets the tone and could have made the entire difference in the game. Cutler is not without blame. Others deserve more.
  6. Why another pass catching TE? That's a luxury and there really aren't enough balls to go around.
  7. Cutler haters are just as irritating as Cutler defenders. The D sucked and deserves the majority of blame, but there were ample opportunities for the offense to come through when presented with favorable field position.
  8. And, as usual, the bears end up with a damn middle of the road pick. Too late to get the typical studs. If HaHa Clinton-Dix is there when the Bears pick, that is an absolute lock bearing no free agency changes.
  9. I don't understand that play calling. Ten seconds is plenty of time to throw a twenty yarder or so and then call a timeout. This season has been one of the more painful in my life. Finally get an offense and the D shits the bed over and over. Cut Conte before he leaves the locker room tonight.
  10. I hate Conte more than any player in the NFL right now.
  11. Common officiating practice for the play clock is to look at it go to zero, then turn to look for the snap, THEN throw the flag if it hasn't snapped. That happens a lot during a season. The clock didn't let Kuhn get the yardage.
  12. We can all agree, Conte should be gone.
  13. Love this second half start. Tough D, good return, power running with the team's best player.
  14. Wow. The Bears do not want this game.
  15. COMPLETELY agreed there. They even did it on obvious incompletions.
  16. You're the only one then. I just rewound mine and there was no whistle. Additionally, no official looks to be raising their hands to stop the clock, to signal the next down, or to call an incompletion. Philosophy: if a fumble or incompletion, rule fumble so the play can go on. That can be overturned. A call of an incompletion can't be overturned because nobody would get subsequent possession. The play stops.
  17. Are you at the game? I didn't hear the whistle at all. They are even talking about how the officials purposefully DIDN'T blow their whistles.
  18. That sucks. Stupid defense gets us again. No awareness at all. That's the right call. In general, and empty hand going forward is a fumble.
  19. I just have a very hard time believing there are not open receivers. Somewhere. I think it's a combo of Marshall-myopathy and extra physical play by packer DBs that won't get called in week 17 of a game this huge.
  20. I support the officials 99% of the time, because I know what goes into it. They are right way more often than wrong. But that was obviously bad call, even though that was the official's key. And it was directly responsible for three points.
  21. Horrible call. McClellin was pulling up if anything. Whoever predicted kids gloves on Rogers was right.
  22. I don't regularly side against the officials, but I don't understand why that wasn't reversed. As far as I know, the foot placement is inconsequential, and that ball never touched the goal line. Bad call.
