  1. Agreed on Gaines Adams. To give up your secound rounder on a definite project, when you know that you don't hae a first round pick is not to bright, IMdO. And then he tragically dies. Maybe we just weren't meant to have that pick.
  2. Wow, Cracker, who peed in your corn flakes?! Let's be real, for the Bears, this draft was all about the price for getting Cutler and then brining in Peppers as a FA. I'm good with that. Wright might just be a good pick, but he's still a thrd rounder, and Wooten is being seen as a good riskas a fourth rounder. After that there is a slim chance that anybody wuld make the team. Have a ittle kool aid and get ready for a long off season.
  3. Sounds logical to me. You'd think that owners, and those proven vets, would be all for a limit on rookie contrct numbers. I've thought that from the day we got Cutler that I'd rather have him than the roll of the dice on first rounders, who often end up very well paid busts.
  4. Maybe Tice can work with him. And I' thinking they're gonna sign some UFA OLs to see what they can find in TC.
  5. After seeing his numbers and his response to the pick, I think I like it. He's got time, if he sticks, to learn from Martz and Cutler.
  6. Now its on to the fun of UFAs. Let's see how many OL prospects they get for camp.
  7. PFT is reporting that we'll play the Bills on Nov. 7th in Canada. OK. Should be cold enough then for us!

Preaching to the choir! And I too see Beekman as the staff's answer to an aging Kruetz.

    No Thanks

Agreed. Let's get some youth for the OL.
  10. Agree. Brown is a solid member of the DL. If he goes, Anderson will have to step up, and I'm not totally convinced he can. But then again, if we can get a top notch G, then I'd do it.
  11. Na, it's gotta be the Chargers' powder blues.
  12. They look like a cheap Nike workout jersey knockoff! And Brown helmets?!!! Turdheads!
  13. Yep, looks like Lovie will be targeting him so he can "tutor" him in the fine art of Cover 2.
  14. Could be a big indicator bradjock. Just hope we can get a decent draft pick for him, though from the posts I've read here, I doubt it. If Olsen starts to speak out about the situation, I'd definitely say he's gone.
  15. My gosh, this means they ARE devoted to the Martz scheme. Now, if Lovie, with Marinelli, can get his head out of his butt with the D, then. . . .
  16. Hell, after last year' debacle and Url's early injury who wouldn't? Hope he can get back the old fire he played with.
  17. Diddo! He was a solid player a few years back, but slipped a bit since. That's the NFL. We all move on now.
  18. And every year you hear complaints from players and then fans from one or two teams that do have physical camps. Lovie is a players' coach and he doesn't run things in a "down your throat," "let's beat everyone up" way. Now, I do suggest that Marinelli get the guys some extra work on the tackling dummies--kinda like working on free throws in bball. Do it a hundred t imes to finish up every practice. Maybe they'd get the idea.
  19. Well, Williams sure sounds like an improvemnt over McKie. Hell, why not just ask ME to play fullback. God, could they get worse personnel?
  20. I think most teams carry a long snapper, so it is nothing unusual. And Manning is solid.
  21. Thanks. But I don't see them trading Olsen. Won't be surprised if it happens, but he can catch and Martz likes to throw. Maybe, if he's not traded, they move him off the line more often.
  22. Do we have a 2nd round pick? I don't think so.
  23. And imagine if Peppers' addition brings the D where we want it, then we will have the luxury on O to develop our young WRs under Martz.
  24. I agree. Perhaps some youth via the draft for OG and OT. And, as always, DBs.
