I may get ripped here but I'm all for giving this defensive staff another shot. First off, injures killed our front and I'd like to see what a healthy line and some potential new faces could do. Secondly, we could face an more significant regression if we try to force a move to a 3-4 without 3-4 talent. Of the front 7, a maximum of three current bears could potentially be a viable option in this proposed new defense. One who may be cut(Pep). We simply don't have the money or enough draft picks to overhaul this defense in a year. That being said, a middle of the pack defense and our current offense is a serious Superbowl contender. And to the posters who think that Trestman should be on the hotseat if the defense fails, well your just plain delusional. It's quite possible that we hit a homerun with this guy and yall want to toss him after a year? WTF? We've been bitching since I've joined this site that we needed an offense well now we have it and you want to boot him. Re-freakin-tarded!

I'd rather have Cutler than be back in QB hell. The board whines about the money paid to him as if its coming out of their paychecks. I'm sure the people who are running this team have a REAL plan in place that I'll take of each of the crybabies plans.

Easley shouldn't last into the fourth even with his multiple ACLs. He's an explosive pass rusher who played more NT this year, although in years past he played DE, here at UF and was our true anchor to the defense. A bit smallish; (6-2/280) but looks much lighter and shorter.

The only person on our roster, other than Cutler, that we could get minimum a third for is likely Marshall. Also, I don't believe we could get a first for Cutty and IDT anyone on this team would trade him for second. Would you? I'd love a draft of J. Football, Senseri(sp), and a actual pass rusher. Surprisingly, I've seen alot of NIU's games the last couple of years. He's not nearly as good as Tebow to be honest. He was completely exposed as a passer last year against FSU missing his receivers by 15 yards or chucking it directly into the turf. I don't believe he will be a NFL QB. He is an interesting and fun NCAA qb to watch though.

I'm pretty sure he's under contract for 8 mil per. Besides that, he's been simply awful.

Throw it to whose open. I think the confidence in the WRs is a two way street. The more they see the ball being caught by themselves, the more confidence Cutler and unnamed receiver will have.
