  1. I don't care if he is mild mannered or freak out style like Ditka.....I do think that inside closed doors a mild manner coach prolly could benefit from showing some type of emotion. Not all players will react to freak outs just the same as some players will react to a good freak out by a coach. I have played for many different style of coaches. Highschool, CMU and ISU in college. Highschool my coaches were pretty mild mannered, HC would freak out tho. He freaked out at the right time to get the reaction he wanted. CMU- mostly mild mannered, never really saw a freak out. Brian Kelly took over after my coaches were fired. He is a freak out type of coach and he got results ISU- I had some fiery coaches that knew when to be calm and when to get amped up- went to the Semi Finals with this coaching staff. I truly hope Trestman is not in over his head. If he is then this train is only going to derail even more and we will be back to square one with our beloved Bears.
  2. If he doesn't want to, I will volunteer to go in the locker room and lose my shit!!! I will tear that locker room up!!!!!!
  3. Argument for Trestman= didn't think he needed to do this to win Argument against= fact, 100% should have been doing this from the day he got here from Denver. Trestman should have done this the very first game he coached with Cutler. Im leaning with the against argument! lol
  4. Im all for moving Cutler around.... He has some wheels, if no one is open he can either run it for a gain or throw it away......
  5. Reality Recap- Josh McCown is NOT a Chicago Bear anymore. You are right any given sunday..... The Rams have won a couple of games I never would have thought. I thought the Denver game would have been closer. Who knows..... If the Bears come out and put up 35 points and the Offense looks great I will be a happy camper...... I cant deal with watching the Bears suck at all 3 phases and lose....... If the O starts living up to their talents I can live with that Win or Lose..... The team has just been embarrassing too many times this year. The last game against GB the O went shot for shot with GB in the first half.... They need to do it for a full game!!!!
  6. If they are fighting inside. This is not going to get better. Cutler,Marshal, Allen Ratliff, Forte, all the vets better step up and squash any fighting.
  7. That would be classic Chicago Bears......win just enough to not get a good draft pick and not be in the playoffs. I so down on the Bears I just don't see them making a run at it. Even if the Offense gets their shit together there is two other phases to overcome. One good ass whooping of the GB Pack would change my mindset real quick tho.....lol
  8. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...1029-story.html One thing I didn't like is, Jay is not a player that is going to lift everyone around him. If that is TRUE, then the Bears should not have paid him like a guy that does. Emery and Trestman paid him to be a guy that lifts everyone around him. Fact: The Bears Offense should be putting up more points per game The Special Teams suck The Defense sucks Even if the the Offense comes around, will it even matter???????? Lets say Cutler keeps putting up top 10 numbers and stops turning the ball over, will it be enough? Im not so sure anymore. Before the season started I thought the Offense would be good enough to win us some games. I didn't think the SP Teams would be this shitty. If the defense plays like it did against the Pats, GB will do the same thing....put up 50 points.
  9. I looked up this stat because I couldn't believe how we never heard his name being called. I heard one of the guys on the score or espn1000 say that he celebrated because he had not gotten a sack yet but was getting good pressure. I disagree with the celebrating a sack when down 4000 points. From this stat tho it looks like Houston maybe wasn't a bad FA signing. http://www.sportingcharts.com/nfl/stats/de...e-hurries/2014/ Not sure how he looked against the run, but I remember reading he was pretty good against the run. Really sucks we lost him due to this bone head injury.
  10. All in all I like Emery, a whole heck of a lot more then JA. When he hired Trestman, at first my reaction was WHO THE F$%K is this asshole. Then I read about him, liked what he did with Gannon, figured if he could work wonders with him why not Cutler. Then I saw that he won 2 out of 5 Canandian Cups and thought hey.... if he won in Canada then why not the NFL. Big mistake was thinking if he won in Canada then why not in the NFL.....The NFL has the best of the best. It looks like he is being out coached in the NFL this year. IF Emery went to Trestman and said is Cutler the guy and Trestman said YES then Ill hold Cutler to Trestman and not so much Emery. It doesn't mean Emery is off the hook entirely with Cutler tho. I still hope Cutler can take the final step in the process of becoming a top 5 QB. I think he is close but he has some work to do. Who knows the Pack had to win 7 straight in 2010 to get into the playoffs. We all know how that ended. With the Talent the Bears have on O I can see them getting on a hot streak and win some games. We do have a lot of home games coming even tho the Home games so far have not panned out to well so far.
  11. Before interviewing any Coaches you would think they would have talked to Marrinelli. Asking him if he would stay on as a D coach may have been some useful info. If Arians http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/colum...028-column.html
  12. You are right. More speaking in terms of O, D and ST units. I think the Coaching staff has taken a step back as well, the play calling has been dreadful too.
  13. They key is STEP BACKWARDS for all phases of the game. I would have never thought the O, D and special teams could look this bad. Everyone can bitch about Cutler, he deserves some but how can the D and ST look so bad.
  14. Couple of things: 1. Firing Trestman would mean Emery has to admit he was the wrong signing 2. Cutting or trading Cutler would mean Emery has to admit he was wrong extending him to this contract 3. If you fire Trestman and keep Cutler due to the contract are there any coaches that want to come here to coach Cutler for 2 more years? 4. If Emery were to cut ties with both, shouldn't the Bears cut ties with Emery for making those deals? 5. I don't see anyway the Bears can move on from Jay Cutler due to his contract, we have him for 2 more years 6. Maybe someone would come here to coach the Bears on a 5year deal knowing that they can draft their guy and try to win with Cutler for 2 years while they groom their guy I think Harbaugh would be a good hire. But that is based off his record in San Fran. He does have some studs on that team when they are not proclaiming to have bombs at airports..... God what was Aldon Smith thinking. Who knows if there is any problems in that locker room There is a lot of smoke coming out of San Fran...and when there is smoke there is usually a fire somewhere.... I personally hope Trestman gets this team out of this funk and finishes strong. I think playing in the same scheme on the offensive side of the ball is very important. The D and Special Teams Cord have to go tho. I have never wanted the Kick off Return man to just stay in the end zone every time they have a kick off before. Carolina and NE both had huge Punt Returns.

    What now?

I was not saying he would be worth shit. Im totally disappointed in Briggs. Shows up 20 to 30 pounds over weight, fat, out of shape, slow as dirt. He could have come in to camp in great shape, been a leader. Instead he came in ready to call it a career. Worthless.
  16. Jared Allen- getting sick put him back. Im not done hoping he turns it up. Love the production out of Willie Young. Houston- has been MIA this first half of the season, then he gets a sack and celebrates like an asshole and gets hurt.
  17. Im very close to losing my shit with the Bears. I would hate to see the Bears change direction after two seasons. We could start looking like the Raiders, changing coaches every 1.5 year. Trying to keep a glass half full
  18. There is no one to replace. Kromer I have faith Other two can pound sand

    What now?

I do not want Marshal gone....... Briggs can go.

    What now?

The Bears have a track record of going 500 and always drafting 15-20..... Lovie had to win that game against the Vikings. Urlacher hurt his knee, we won and dropped 6 spots in the draft. They will prolly hover at 500, but I wouldn't rule out them losing a bunch more. They look terrible on all 3 phases. freakin terrible!!
  21. That got ugly real quick Kick returner should have stayed in the end zone Punt team can't stop anything Fumble touchdown freak!!!!!! I'll watch the 2nd half but it's going to be unbearable
  22. With the talent the Bears have we should have no problem moving the ball
