Week 5 Official Game Thread - CAR at CHI, Sun, Oct 6, 12pm CDT, FOX, CHI -4.5, O/U 43.5
This is worth watching, thru 4 games Panthers OL only gave up 1 sack and 7 pressures all year.

51% of snaps
All of Pitts offense woes are not on Justin, bad OL, inconsisent running game and questionable play caller. He only has two quality recievers in Pickens and the TE. The good thing is we will get that 4th rounder for him. They have the same record as we have so if we want to compare QB play, end of the year gives a better picture.

Week 6 Official Game Thread - JAX @ CHI, Sun, Oct 13, 0830AM CDT, NFLN, CHI -1
Jags can score but I trust the defense to keep them in check. It will come down to who scores last at the end game. We have already played 2 better QBs than Lawerence , Stroud and Stafford so that doesnt scare me. The overseas effect is the unknown. Defenses travel not the same with offense. All we have is the first 5 games and they are 1-4 and cant stop anybody. Their last 2 oppontants were Colts and Texans and they gave up 24 and 34, that tells me our offense should score some points.

Being overseas is the critical part of how it affects the teams. We should win but it most likely will be a close game with a who scores last will win. The one constant will be the Jags not scoring over 20 points, our defense always shows up. Their defense has 11 sacks on the year and are decent against the run. In cotrast we have 14 sacks and have been worse againt the run. TOs will once again be an important stat in the game. They have turned the ball over 9 times and we have 11 TOs. Also Lawerence has played better than CW has so far with 1100 yds and 6-2 TD to int ratio. It will be a close game.

Caleb Williams QBR Tracker
Caleb has superstar written all over him but he is still a work in progress. He is not even close to what he will be. 300 is the magis number for QBs but does not always signal a winning QB. If you are throwing that much it usually means you are behind in a game. Yesterday was almost the perfect example of what we need to do to have a formidale offense. 39-128 yds rushing and 29 passes for 304 yds. 40 rushes and 30 passes should be the goal every week. Now both the rushing and passing needs to be more efficient but the results speak for themselves 36-10.

This wasnt a good team but good teams blows out bad teams and we did that. We have a defense that has 21 or less in the last 10 games we played. points against average. 16.1 12-10 28-13 17-20 27-16 9-17 24-17 13-19 16-21 24-18 36-10

The Ol is not going from bad to good in one week, but progress matters, one game at a time

His pass rush looks good but the one play that impressed me was him running down Dalton out of bounds at 6-6 320.

CW almost thru a pick 6 on the first play of the day behind Allen, that's not a bad play call. The sack was CW holding the ball to long.

I agree with you, this is bumby but developing CW is the key to the future. With whoever you want to blame for the rough start, CW is the key to the mistakes and will be the key to future wins. As much as the OL has played bad, the Panthers has 3 first round picks on the OL and they are a bad team. However a GM wants to build a winner, its about the complete picture not the individual position groups.

Next 4 games
I heard an interesting stat, the underdogs are winning 72% of the time. Now Im sure its against the spread but is a high percentage for any football stat. So upsets can happen at anytime.

Never seen that thanks

Poles goes after what he wants, traded up for Stevenson last year. Draft Buzz has 4 OL projected to be 1st round picks and none are top 20. Lists 6 in the second round. DL in the 1st and 2 OL in the second could work out perfect as far as value. KC has 2 OL lineman hitting free agency and one is Humphrey .(OC) KC has a lot of big contracts so paying Humphrey will be difficult. We can.

Herbert has to be trade bait right?
The reason all of our weapons are not going off is because our QB is not up to speed yet. I think we see Poles vision the last half the season , and our offense will take off based on CWs growth. If you're building a team , I dont think you trade assets in the year you expect to start winning in, let's trade players. Herbert will see playing time as Johnson and Swift get dinged up. We are a couple lineman away from having a strong team. Being in a tough division will be difficult but look at last year's game, all were one score games except the first game with GB. We can compete in this divion. I think if we go 3-3 this year will show how good we can be. We have a 7 game winning streak at home. Soon to be 8 but the next week we are in London but is listed as a home game. Jacksonville isnt very good but who knows how the traveling affects our play. After the bye (4-2) it will be a big game on the road with Washington. That game will give us something to measure by. Daniels is playing well but lets see how he plays as teams adjust to him.
