The intangables are with us but this can easily be a close game. Its usually a handful of plays that change a game. TOs-penalties- poor tackling.

I think the fact they will be distracted from the the possiblities of their homes could be destroyed could affect their play. My annual Thailand flight (20 hours) in the air takes me 5 days to adjust. I think it is more mental than physical when you look at prime shape for the players. They will be playing at 930 in the morning on their body clock. Their is no data on wins or losses on leaving early or going late but logic tells you it will affect them.

Im curious to see where we're at once we start playing in our division , it should be ready for prime time at some point this season. (like this week)

After the bye we have a ton of people coming back. Kiran will be ready to play, Bates will be ready, Borom will be off IR,Jacob Martin is coming back. I also think Homer is coming back, not sure if he was season ending IR. I think Waldron was establishing a finese offense that may be the high flying passing offense but CW is not ready for that yet, so he metered down to fit CWs skill level at this time. Adjusted the running game because it wasnt working in its present form. He didnt run a good offense for two yrs and then all of a sudden became dumb when he got here.

This is worth watching, thru 4 games Panthers OL only gave up 1 sack and 7 pressures all year.

All of Pitts offense woes are not on Justin, bad OL, inconsisent running game and questionable play caller. He only has two quality recievers in Pickens and the TE. The good thing is we will get that 4th rounder for him. They have the same record as we have so if we want to compare QB play, end of the year gives a better picture.

Jags can score but I trust the defense to keep them in check. It will come down to who scores last at the end game. We have already played 2 better QBs than Lawerence , Stroud and Stafford so that doesnt scare me. The overseas effect is the unknown. Defenses travel not the same with offense. All we have is the first 5 games and they are 1-4 and cant stop anybody. Their last 2 oppontants were Colts and Texans and they gave up 24 and 34, that tells me our offense should score some points.

Being overseas is the critical part of how it affects the teams. We should win but it most likely will be a close game with a who scores last will win. The one constant will be the Jags not scoring over 20 points, our defense always shows up. Their defense has 11 sacks on the year and are decent against the run. In cotrast we have 14 sacks and have been worse againt the run. TOs will once again be an important stat in the game. They have turned the ball over 9 times and we have 11 TOs. Also Lawerence has played better than CW has so far with 1100 yds and 6-2 TD to int ratio. It will be a close game.

Caleb has superstar written all over him but he is still a work in progress. He is not even close to what he will be. 300 is the magis number for QBs but does not always signal a winning QB. If you are throwing that much it usually means you are behind in a game. Yesterday was almost the perfect example of what we need to do to have a formidale offense. 39-128 yds rushing and 29 passes for 304 yds. 40 rushes and 30 passes should be the goal every week. Now both the rushing and passing needs to be more efficient but the results speak for themselves 36-10.

His pass rush looks good but the one play that impressed me was him running down Dalton out of bounds at 6-6 320.

On that play the first 2 reads werent open and he run instead throwing the check down to Swift that was open on the left.

Dexter has 3.5 sacks this year, it leads DTs.

The defense will adjust and the offense will get better. KEYS: no huddle , run the ball, establish a rythym, CW doeant over throw the WRS.

They had the same coach last year when they looked promising, it could be on the players.

CW almost thru a pick 6 on the first play of the day behind Allen, that's not a bad play call. The sack was CW holding the ball to long.

The Bears defense is giving up 19 points a game, Panthers are giving up 32, we have our score 32-19 Bears.

I agree with you, this is bumby but developing CW is the key to the future. With whoever you want to blame for the rough start, CW is the key to the mistakes and will be the key to future wins. As much as the OL has played bad, the Panthers has 3 first round picks on the OL and they are a bad team. However a GM wants to build a winner, its about the complete picture not the individual position groups.

I heard an interesting stat, the underdogs are winning 72% of the time. Now Im sure its against the spread but is a high percentage for any football stat. So upsets can happen at anytime.
