How would you like to be Arizona, Giants, Denver that paid QBs and still have a need at QB. This coming off season is very critical to make the right move. They have 4 choices to make. Keep Fields and have Bagent as a backup Trade Fields, draft a QB in the first round Trade Fields, go with Bagent, and draft another QB . Keep Fields and Bagent, then draft a QB in mid rounds. I think with a new coaching staff, adding 2 blue chip players ( MJH or Bowers one of them) and draft a mid round QB, they have all the bases covered. If Fields bombs out, Bagent takes over as the rookie gets developed. You have 3 shots at the gold ring. The top QBs aren't guaranteed anything.

I suspect you can find bad tape on any player. He's far from an elite player but adds a lot to this defense.

I think Eligah Hicks has played well in a backup role. plays both S spots and started 6 games due to injury. DeMarcus Walker has been noticeable in games, never expected him to be a star. The best player on D has to be TJ Edwards, he's 2nd in the league in Tackles. Of course Billings.

We definitely could address S position twice unless we add in FA. I want a couple picks in the OL and DL ,plus like you said either Bowers or Harrison.

Week 10 Official Game Thread - TNF - CAR @ CHI (Loser Bowl 2023)

Also Brian Burns is in concussion protocol and wont play. Carolina isn't very good. -
Also don't forget Poles traded for Dan Feeney that can play OC but injuries have side tracked him. He is similar to Patrick as far as experience and ratings.
-
They both need to go. J Carter is our competent backup OG. Bring in a vet center and also draft one. Byron Foster in the 4th? Also we need to draft a OT to compete with Jones and the loser is the swing OT. Then our OL will be complete. You notice that Hicks isnt out there blown up all the time, competent backup. FA and draft a rookie.

Week 9 Official Game Thread - Bears at Saints (Sweat Revenge)

Almost everyone was praising Young over Stroud but it looks like the latter is better. Its hard to get it right. We more need a OC that designs a O to fit their talent. he is doing that for Bagent but isnt for Fields. I want to do what he did for Fields last year , rolling the pocket, RPOs, quick throws instead of 3 progression plays. Yes you need to have Fields do that but run the ball, use play action. You may have a better view of Justin. Say we trade Fields, he goes somewhere and balls out but we took Williams and he is still struggling in his second year. I dont even want to think about that. The key is to get better coaches. -
Bagent in a few years maybe a competent starter but not enough sample size to push him to very good. Yes he is a poised and quick processer but show me a all pro type tp compare to. He is closer to Gardner Mishew than ( name anyone). He is signed for 3 years so he isnt going anywhere. Fields has a higher upside but has to prove he can be that guy and it hasnt happened yet.

And the defense is playing better. Flus needs to change up some of his D schemes. When you play zone, all of the underneath is open on quick throws , near impossible to get sacks. Where do we get attacked, underneath. -
Where's Kyle Murray?

Both QBs have good and bad traits. Bagent seems like he is a QB that could win with a good team if developed but not win because of him. Fields clearly has more upside but needs to work on some things. Everyone wants to say this is Justin's 3rd year but his 1st year was a total waste. I look at a QB in a second year in the same system. As Poles builds a roster, we need to get a coach that plans according to his talent. Getsy wants to make Justin a pocket passer and I think you have to play to his strengths. Yes he has to learn to stand in the pocket but not 95% of the time. They have 8 games to prove themselves. Now its Fields turn again. If we end going with these two next year, clearly we need new coaching. -

I just home from a granddaughter thing, without knowing anything, ties 17-17 looks good, -
I tink he just keeps building the roster and will let the QB situation play itself out. He has set it up to draft a QB if Fields fails. I do think he will make moves that allow him to win in 2024. You only get so long to do your job before it comes back on Poles. He has a chance to add several blue chip players in this draft. It would work out better if one of them wasn't a QB but not sure he knows that yet.

Lots of people predict things, he just goes out of his way to be a jerk about it.

Michael Lombardi is always giving the Bears crap and seen this tweet. Michael Lombardi talks a lot of shit for someone whose three first round picks in two years were Barkevious Mingo, Justin Gilbert and Johnny Manziel

We have two
-
I think 17 is what the transition tag would be. Sweat is better than Gary and as soon as Gary signed a 96 for 4 yrs, it had to beat that. Sweat isnt top 5 but arguably around 10 as an edge. We had to get a pass rusher and Sweat should make Ngakoue better. Poles needed to see what Flus can do with a more complete D as to whether to fire him or not.

As much as we watch games and have opinions, front offices dive in 10 times deeper and still get it wrong 90% of the time. We have 2 question marks at QB that has some game so I dont think they take a QB unless they view as a sure thing. Not sure the top two fall in that category but I think they draft one but not at the top of the draft. Someone like a Bagent can sit on the practice squad and learn. Maye seems to be the pocket passer in this group with a strong arm and good size, maybe him? What I would like for them to get MH Jr no matter who else they take, pair him with DJ and you have one of the top WR group in the league which has to help whoever plays QB.
