    Mock Drafts

I liked all your picks but the RB that high was a bad choice. If we got those WRs that would be great. Speed with Watson and Grey,, Talbot would be the possession guy. Beavers and Cheap could start as rookies. Zack Tom was the only OL, it would have been better with 2, Should have taken another OL with the RB choice.
  2. I would have like to seen a healthy Mack for this year but I understand why they did it. I think a #2 and a 4th would have been what it should have been but there was no competition for this trade. SD is the only team that was a contender with the cap space to make this trade. How many games did Mack miss last year? That's what this team will look like. Now Gipson gets his shot which needed to happen. His replacement is already on this team, J Attaochu. His last yr he had significant snaps was 2020 with Denver, 5 sacks and 14 QB hits in 5 starts. He will only be a situational pass rusher but at least he will gives you something. Also Charles Snowden will get a chance to develop in his second year. Having a #2 is good but we will probably have to use it to find Macks replacement.
  3. I seen an article in THE Athletic where a guy predicted every teams free agent signings. They only listed 3 : DJ Chark/WR....Duane Brown/LT.....Trai Turner/OG. It would be nice to get them. Chark will be 8-10 mil, Brown 10 mil and Turner 6/7 mil. I don't think jaguars will let him leave , they have 58 mil in cap space. Brown is 37 but played well last year, I can see that is possible and Turner makes sense because our Oline coach was in Pittsburgh last year. Personally my first 3 : Joseph Noteboom.... Brian Allen.... Byron Pringle. I think Kirk and Chark will be to expensive. Pringle has upside.
  4. A lot of people post stories and seems odd a nobody would have that info. Just seen a tweet from a Chad Forbes ( that the market for James isn't in high demand) , first that info would come from an agent, secondly its illegal for teams to have negotiations before the period starts next week. Plus that info would have to come from Poles that they know he's in low demand.it would be nice if we can resign him at a 8 mil type price but how would anyone know a week ahead of time.
  5. The Colts don't have a lot of options. Watson, if he legal problems get figured out. Trade for Jimmy G, I doubt it or going after Trubisky. Could draft a rookie then maybe they would trade for Foles.
  6. History of free agent OL , that young that were productive are big paydays. Whitehair is a good example.Someone will offer him 10-12mil.a Year.
  7. Wentz seems like a bad talent but I remember Tannerhill was thought to not be good and went to Tennessee and been a better QB.
  8. There must be a defined difference in the type of player in the the outside zone blocking scheme.. More athletic and smaller body types. I've been pushing for a new OC but what if Mustifer actually play better in this scheme. Olin has been training with him and said not to count him out. He played well the 5 games he started in 2020 when he was lighter. Olin said he knows what he needed to do to get better.
  9. If Poles is patient and frugal we could put together a competitive team. A lot of good talent after the first wave.
  10. I think you also have to look at the money there paying him, 10-16-24-24 over the next 4 years. He's 30. He is worth the 10 mil this year but then it goes crazy expensive. I would rather just draft a couple WRs.
  11. Denver gave up a lot but if I could choose a team according to roster, I would take Denver.
  12. Green Bay will make it work but giving Rodgers 50mil and tagging Adams (20 mil) they are going to lose some good players. They were already 45 mil in the hole. But that included 46 mil going to Rodgers. They 27 free agents plus have to cut some salary. No Campbell, Rasual Douglas, Kenny King, Robert Tonyan, and almost all of there WRs. I don't think they will be as good as previous 2 years.
  13. We resigned Simmons/OT, Mustifer/OC and Jasper Horsted/TE..Other than a few SP team additions, this shows his first evaluation of the roster. Hosted is a no brainer, made the highlight film on only a few reps. I find it interesting that he sees some game in Mustifer and Simmons . Maybe he sees Simmons as a OG..If he doesn't add a OC in free agency, he may think he is capable of starting again.
  14. If Seattle has no interest in trading him, you would have to throw an ungodly amount draft capital to get him. Other teams would have more picks to offer,, no way that ever happens.
  15. Since all the good WRs won't be available or cost to much, I would sign Joseph Noteboom/LT and Brian Allen./OC and then with the first two picks in the draft, grab WRs. In the two fifth round picks get a developmental OT and OG. Two positions fixed in one yr.
  16. Several top names are going to be tagged and resigning to existing team. Williams, Gallup, Adams, Godwin will not be available. Christian Kirk and D J Shark will be more expensive. Add Cooper to a big pay check. When Poles talked about 2nd and 3rd wave players, those will will be all that are left. He just needs to grab a Kalif Raymond and Byron Pringle and be done with it.
  17. I think that kind of trade would happen if a SB contender gets someone hurt in training camp and then trades to upgrade. They will address the spot in FA and the draft first. If training camp then wouldn't do much for this year. Maybe right before the trading deadline, similar to Miller going to LA.

    Mock Drafts

That would be an excellent draft but I think they would address an OL with one of the first two picks. Diesch is a good development player , but he won't be starting the first year. The first 2 picks need to be starters. Watson probably won't make it to 63 but that would be awesome..
  19. We need to move back and get a 4th round pick. Only having 5 picks sucks considering Poles wants to build threw the draft. Poles was in the room last yr when KC drafted a 6th round OG, Trey Smith , that started for them last year. Pick 63 was a pro bowl rookie OC , Creed Humphrey. I can see that happening for us.
  20. A lot of the free agents the Bears look at will disappear by tags and resigning with current team. 90% of the time they have the advantage. I seen an article on Sports Mockery by Eric Lambert that was interesting. After just bad mouthing him over a story, I'm going to have to give him some credit. He brought up Zack Tom a LT not highly rated that use to play OC. He was rated high at that but Wake Forest needed him to play LT for the last two years. He could be that sneeky 5th round pick that starts at OC for us next year. https://www.sportsmockery.com/chicago-bears/the-left-tackle-ryan-poles-may-see-as-his-own-creed-humphrey/
  21. WRs.....Watson, Pierce, Jahan Dotson, George Pickens, Calvin Austin, Skyy Moore. Ones that should be available at 39 or 71.
  22. If a prize is there at 39, keep it , do what you stated, trade 71.
  23. A lot of speed in the LB group.
  24. I heard a podcast with Olin today. His biggest concern was to go out and get best LT in your price range and start there with fixing the oline. He also said do not count out Mustifer as being the starting OC this year. He is bias because he helps train Sam . He said Sam knows what he needs to work on and will get it done. That the outside zone scheme fits his talent better. If I remember he played very well in 2020 the five games he started. He put on 30 lbs and didn't feel comfortable with it. Look for him to be 15 lbs lighter and not lose any strength. The LTs out of our price range are Armsted, O Brown, Cam Robinson, Duane Brown. The potential LTs available: Nate Solder, Eric Fisher, Joseph Noteboom, Chris Hubbard, and Cornelius Lucas. I would say the best options would to sign Solder or Fisher to a one year deal as you develop a draft pick. My choice would to pay Joseph Noteboom on a 4 year contract and watch him grow. He has played limited snaps but performed well the last two years. Its a risk but one you may win. If Noteboom can handle the job and Mustifer steps up, thats 4 spots pinned down. I would say your only decision is resign Daniels and cut Whitehair, or go with Daniels. Draft a OT and OC prospects later in the draft. Use your first two picks on dynamic WRs. They will be good choices there.
