Jackson is not an elite player, a very good player that because of a good SB is going to get over paid. We dont need to do that. We can sign guys like Jaye Howard, Ian Williams, or Akiem Hicks for under 5 mil a year and have a decent starter going forward and then draft the elite players.

Someone I pulled out of this was BRANDON DOUGHTY, in college his completion pct. was 68.6 and finished with 111 TDs in startering for 3 years. The most important trait I got away from an interview was he loves football and hates to lose. for a 5th or 6th round pick, he could be a sleeper.

I seen where we interviewed Hunter Henry at the combine. I think to actually get him we would need to draft him in the second round. Another name to through out there that I like is Tyler Higbee, good size and decent speed.

I did not mean he is a middle rounder, just that we met with him, he wont make it out of the first 15 picks. I also forgot to mention we met with Christian Hackenberg

I have heard a few names that we are pursuing in FAgency: I mentioned Ian Williams in another topic. I heard the name Tashawn Gibson mentioned by Brad Biggs. At the combine they had interviews with QBS: Kevin Hogan Dak Prescott Carson Wentz Jacoby Brissett I would say these QBs tell me we will be picking a QB in mid rounds and he is on that list

I would hate to take an injured player but Smith is a potenial stud in the same mode as Luke Keatley, I would take that chance.

big is not a bad thing, 6'6" at 308 with a 5.10 40 its number 8 for top 10 DTs. I would say if you get him in the 3 rd, that would be a good pick.

I think with the comments yesterday by Pace about Liking Leno and addressing the oling in FAgency that we leave out the two OTs I think there will be one QB taken maybe two so we rule out QB at our spot. So that leaves these consensus defensive players in the top 10 Bosa/OLB Jack/OLB or ILB Buckner/DE Ramsey/CB or S Hargreaves/CB These are consistent top 10 picks Others showing up in the top 15 Jaylon Smith/OLB or ILB Noah Spence/OLB Jarron Reed/DE A'Shawn Robinson/DT Robert Nkemdiche/DT or DE Shaq Lawson/OLB Sheldon Rankins/DT Ragland/ILB This group has some upside players So if one of the first group drops, it will be one of those picks. Out of the next group our pick will be: Jaylon Smith Noah Spence A'Shawn Robinson Jarron Reed Reggie Ragland out of that group I would take Smith first

Yesterday Pace stated he was comfortable with Leno Jr as his LT. I suspect he means he takes another step on the progression scale to being better. Also he stated he will address the OLine in FAgency. Also that depending on who they get in FAgency will depend on the position Long will play either OT or OG. So if that is the case I would say they target both OG and OT in FAgency. options on not top money players at that position. ( I still think they make one big signing and it will be D and more likely at ILB.) I have seen mant draft boards that have him listed between 9th rated thru 15, if all the defensive playmaks are gone, i think it may be between him and (REED of Alabama)they would be the next best D players on the board

I have seen a lot of drafts that have him going in the 2nd round.

Out of those 3 I think they would go with Spence. the SB showed how important pass rush is and how it makes the rest of the defense better. I would probably take Jaylon Smith if I was making the pick based on his skill set, but the injury may not allow him to play this year. I think is a difference playmaker this D so badly needs.

I seen a tweet from Aaron Lemmings that the Bears were going to push to obtain Ian Williams and move Goldman to DE. 6'1" 305---65 tackles-1 FF-1 PD -1 S He seems small for the NT spot but plays well there.

There going to draft one and I would say bring in a couple similar to Slauson. Jahri Evans/OG maybe and Will Beaty/OT

Dont count out Noah Spence/Edge rusher, which could be our pick even if one of those guys drop. The thing everyone understands about the SB was pass rush,I think he could be our pick.

I think they think that White will be the over the top threat.

I did a Fanspeak using Walter's big board. Other than Wright in the 3rd, I took best player available. With the first 4 picks as starters provided Smith is able to hit the field this year. Aguayo was on the board with the last pick and was the highest rated kicker.

I hope your right but if we go by last year and what Pace says, there will be one big signing. So who between Jackson or Trevathan, do you pick? There will be a couple mid range ply r s, so who do you think that they are?

If were going to bring in a DL , lets just get a 5T instead of screwing with a rookie playing a new position.

I read where the Colts will try to resign Fleener and let allen go, of which I think is overall a better player.
