I graduated high school the year you were born, so you havent been a Bears fan longer than me. I am not foolish enough to think your not a Bears fan, its called jacking to get a reaction and I did. Dont really care what your second , third, and 4th choice of (favorite teams). I will remember the next time how great of a Bears fan you are, when your cutting down Cutler, praising McCown. High fiving Lovie and trying to find fault in Trestman.

That all sounds good. At the end of the year when I bring this back up, dont be upset when I rub it in your face. As far as TB goes, I think Lovie is a good coach, but will take him a few years to get the act together. The problem with McCown is the only good stint he has had in the league is when he was with Trestman, and T wont be in Tampa with him. Cutler is a better QB and one partial year does not make a career. I wish him well but it will not be as easy as last year was for him. So will you be changing your handle to (Alaskan Buccaneer)? I am a Bear fan first and foremost, Lovies gone so now Im on the Trestman bandwagon. Get your loyalties straight and start supporting players and coaches that are here instead of living in the past.

I think that is pretty accurate, but more teams will be closer to 8-8 on some of those projections. I agree with you on those teams being better than that. I see a couple of teams having very good records and a few real bad, but the rest will be floating around 500%. I dont see the Colts being in the SB either.

Every thing you said makes sense, but the TB thing is quite a joke. They will have a winning record, but wont be one of the top 5 teams in the NFC. Quit drinking that Lovie cool aid, starting to make any good comments you make be questioned.

more bodies should give us a better shot at being better, but the position is still a question mark.

I think we all can look at the team and see many areas with loads of optimism. So what is our weakness? I think if Briggs isnt up to par, we could have issues at LB. The improved front will help a lot, and that will make the back end better, but the LBers will be most responsible for stopping the run. A lot of question marks at that position, so hope it turns out good.

I agree with some of that but IF he can still play-we need him. A trade wouldnt bring much a 5th or 6th rounder.

Izzy is no surprise after they drafted two Dts high, they well stocked on the DL now, barring injuries.

He wasnt worth what we were paying him, but on a vet min deal, may be ok for a 5th WR but he possibly wouldnt make the roster if Cris Williams shows anything.

There are only a handful of QBs that make people around them better. Cutlers body of work has been mediocre, but all of the odds have been against him until 2 years ago when the team started giving him some help. He is not an elite QB but he will be remembered as a top 10 type of QB after he has team success in the next few years. As far as the money , there are only a few in the league worth all of that money, he doesnt deserve it anymore than Flacco,Romo,Capernick, only the Mannings, Brady's of the world are. Trestman thinks he is the man and our best chance to success so I will trust him and see what happens. Your opinion is moot, same as mine, only the brass has ones that count.

I agree, but better for us than the distractions that show brings to a team. The Bears have some characters on this team, would have been much more of an interesting show with us in it. I wont watch anyways.

If history tells us anything , when installing new offenses, the biggest leap forward is in the second year. Considering the stability of bringing every starter back and adding some depth, we have the potential to be the best offense in the league. Add an improved defense and we are talking about a SB contender sittings on our doorstep. I cant wait to see the results of all that Emery has done the past two years.

I think he will be a good football player but to say he is great in coverage and a good tackler after what we saw last year , is a stretch. He played terrible, cant see giving him any credit for a lousy first year.

Say what? His production on the field sucked last year, he has the potenial to be a very good player but if you go by last year, he has a long way to go.

That's fair to put in that category, but this year will change your mind on that.

We will be out of a 4-3 but it will have different variations for the more attacking defense. I think it will be hugely better than last year. It will not be top of the league but will have its moments and with such a wonderful offense, will shine at times.
