That is a very good name. You and I have been mentioning his name for some time. He is a good tackler and has played CB so he can cover guys.

The guys on the board are not only being passed up by us but other teams too. By several scout run sites I have been looking and he has been rated late 2nd round choice. That is maybe 10 spots sooner that his value dictated it. He has great upside kinda like the Long pick last year. Im telling you guys wont hate this pick one year from now and I will gladly throw it in your faces to pat myself on the back. I havent done yoga for a while so maybe I wont be able to do that.

Kyle Long was a one year-backup, but he turned out good. I would have preferred a few different choices but that doesnt mean this is a bad pick.

Look for S in the third, we still have Brooks,Huff, Reynolds, and Vereen left to choose from so all is not lost. Hey I wanted a safety to , but if Emery ended up taking an all pro CB, who will care 3 years from now.

I think Donald would have been our pick if he was there, but if Gilbert was still there I dont doubt we still would have taken Fuller, not as fast, but every bit more physical than Gilbert.

Lets say we get Hageman and Vereem in the third, that would be a good draft.

We still can get a DT we would have liked if they took him in the first round left on the board. Top DTs left Jerrinigan Nix Hageman Truitt Quarles Sutton Anthony Johnson. We are going to get a good player in the second round at a position of need. Dont sleep on Ego Ferguson either or Jones from PSU. We will grab a good player there. If we get Jerrigan, Nix or Hageman, we did good in this draft no matter who else we draft.

We could say something stupid like that and it will have legs, people throw something out there and it turns reality. He aint done with this, lets see how it plays out. Your guy Vereem may turn out to be a suprise, we just dont know yet.

With one unexpected pick we all have flushed the draft down the drain. We had needs everywhere on D, so getting any good player helps this team. They will have him on the field, this NC stuff is only part of it. If he turns out to be an all pro type playmaking CB, we will all look back on this and see how stupid we are.

He will be, with all the talent on the board, they took this guy.After we see on all of this works out, we will take a different view of this. Im not elated or feel bad about this pick. We are one injury away from any first round pick playing all the time. Donald was gone, and no other DT had that value at 14(IMO). They liked Long and he turned out great, so lets just see how all of this plays out. We obviously still have a need, but maybe they think there is value in a S that they can get in the next two rounds we just dont have figured out.

Two years ago nobody was complaining about Conte, maybe he has a revival. If we cant find one in draft there will be cuts with all the teams that drafted Ss maybe we luck out there.

They got who they wanted the safeties were still on the board. He will play #2 corner and Jennings will move to slot Corner. 70% of the time 3 corners are on the field.

In todays NFL the third CB is in on 70% of the plays and I would have to say, he is an upgrade over Frey.
