  1. Well Bostic is good in coverage, but havent seen much else from him, maybe that makes him a better choice?
  2. I would love to be in that think tank, I hope Im wrong.
  3. For everything I have digested so far: The possibility exists that Marshall, Cutler, and Forte could all be gone this year( never had that thought before) I think they try to fill spots in free agency with the positions of stength and then address the other needs thru the draft. I think the first pick will be OLB rush LB and as of today----Ray-Fowler-Gregory-Dupree-Beasley (could be anybody out of those names) I think they bring in an ILB (like a Nate Irving) past with Fox and younger that Harris I think they bring in a FS(like a Ramin Moore) past with Fox and weak draft class I think they bring in a DE( like a Jared Orlick) good player and still young at 27 I think they bring a CB (like a Cris Cullver) history with DC, still young at 27 I think they bring in a OG (like a Orlando Franklin) young(27), history with Fox, move Long to LT I think the free agents will all but on the young side to remake the roster The only expensive FA will be Franklin, a building block to fortify the OL, no matter who is QB need help here for future
  4. THANKS ( you havent been around very long) but dont go anywhere-like your input
  5. The poor drafting over the last several years and marginal free agents , plus were an old team. I think we dont tank but think of more to the future than trying to become a 8-8 team. For us to compete for a playoff berth we would have to hit on every draft pick and every free agent signing. Also our roster has to have gems, we havent seen thru the fog that went on last year. I would love to win the SB next year, but struggling between reality of the roster and being optimistic. I just think that is to much to ask for a team to turn around in one year and be competitive for years to come.Other teams have did it but they did it with prime players in place and tweaked the roster. Name me the players we have for building blocks? Here is what I see: Long-our future LT Jeffery- our future #2 Fuller- I think he thrives as a press corner maybe Jones at ILB but that is a stretch at this point maybe Ferguson as NT-stretch maybe Young at OLB- position change and coming off injury maybe Houston as DE-didnt do it last year and would change scheme TOO MANY HOLES TO FILL TO BE GOOD NEXT YEAR
  6. Twitter sure does provide me with alot of info P.J. Williams/CB/FSU had a formal interview with the Bears Seen they met with DT Mario Edwards, but cant find info on him---anybody got anything?
  7. Bears met with Bud Dupree/OLB/Kentucky Bears met with Fowler/OLB/FSU
  8. Bears have a date with David Harris/ILB formally with the Jets
  9. Am always noticing bits of information and dislike starting a new thread everytime I find something, so I will post it here. I suggest everybody does. At the combine---Bears met with Tevin Coleman/RB/Indiana Danny Shelton/NT/Wash Cody Prewitt/FS/Miss There are a few more names to post, that I cant recall at the moment
  10. I think, as any new regime should do, they are exploring all options. Forte, Im sure, has one good year in him. If they decide to move on from Cutler, they probably stay with him as to lessen the blow to an all ready dysfunctional offense. They remake it with a power running game with Forte as part of the plan to focus on the run.
  11. When Pace described his OLB one trait was strong on the edge, kinda tells me someone like Fowler at 6'3" 261 may be more to his liken, although if Gregory drops, I think that is a no brainer, add 15 lbs of muscle--tada
  12. There is no way this is a quick fix, its going to take 3 years to get to the playoffs.
  13. I like the creativity and the effort. Petty would be anything, think Grayson from Colo St could be thou.
  14. That is an example of PPF and all stats doesnt necessary give you a clear picture of valve. He would be taken in the top 10 if not top 5 in the league.
  15. I think they dont think Cutler will be the QB when we make the run for a SB, in a few years, so they rebuild the roster and leave all options open. Think this will be interesting to see what smart people do to attempt to reach a SB as compared to the two goofs we had the last few years. To be truthful, I was hoping they did there jobs well, facts are they sucked.
  16. They are simply checking out all options to make a better team. It may be with Cutler, it may not, but there really isnt any reason to have to make that commitment until the last day.
  17. I think he is a good team player and likable so why not have him as a backup. He is not a starter, look at what he did as a starter(awful). But a few games, probably better than Clausen
  18. I listened to the speech myself and get the same feeling they wont be back. Briggs(who cares) and Tillman(doesnt fit the scheme) Peanut has always been one of my favorite players, but all good things come to an end.
  19. Nobody hear now have any draft ties to SMC, he might make the team but no way he starts.
  20. There not going to be back, put the kool aid down and live in the real world. I think we have the oldest team in football, the old guys are on there way out.
  21. free agency sucks for QBs and this will go down in history as the worst QB draft .
  22. Zaidman stated on the score, that neither of them will be back. As per Pace
  23. As far as Marshall goes, I leave it up to the Bears brass to decide the valve and the determent Marshall would have on a team. I read an article in the tribune by Steve Rosenbloom. I dont always agree with his opinions but he adds humor to a sometimes bland reporting on the Bears. He had this line in his article on we should spend the money on Randall Cobb and dump Marshall. "The Bears don’t have Rodgers, just to clarify. In fact, they have the anti-Rodgers, but at least with a guy like Cobb, Cutler’s killer interceptions would be deeper." just found this humorous
  24. I dont think anybody takes the job thinking being 3 years away, but to be competitive next year they have to hit on all off season moves and have some unproven talent we didnt see last year take a big leap. Our schedule is much worse than last year.
