1. As one can tell from how many times I post that I don't like to rip those who play and coach at a pro level. On their worst days they do things I can't dream of ever doing. Having said that, as a fan, I just have to say a few things! Tice does not belong as OC on a playoff ready team. Maybe along side of someone who is also learning as they go. The guy has no vision of how to put in a game plan or think outside or even inside a game plan box. Are Bush and Marshall the only players on Off. that know on days like this it's just f'n run forward!! Yea, Bush lost a ball early trying to make a big play bigger. He's not a rookie, you don't need to bench him to make a point. I did not see every play but I don't remember seeing him much after that fumble till the end of the third quarter or later? And then he still just ran forward, not sideline to sideline. I have lost all faith in Hester. It seems like he is just running to set records or score touchdowns. No excuse for not getting a first down on that first half catch and run! None!! And I don't want to hear anything, ever again, about a Hester package!! Just run plays for all the WR'. And were is Sanzenbacker? Was he hurt today? Seems like it was a perfect day for his skill set vs Hester. And how do you only throw what, three passes to the running backs coming out of the backfield today. And don't even talk to me about the TE's. How can someone like Davis at 6'7" and able to be so athletic be such a fuckup. He gets knocked off a route without even being touch. Can't make a few other game changing catches. Sorry, he just should not be on the field no matter how great a potential he has. Spaeth is another who sould be gone ASAP. He's another player who must look a hell of a lot better on the coaches game tape then he does during the game. As I said in the beginning I'm in no way a smart football person but we should be doing the simple things better this far in the season. Game planning, running plays, personal. etc.
2. “I’ve done that for 20 years" Gee do you think maybe the other team might know that. But that's not the real problem of his play calling for the whole 2nd qrt. IMO Your off. has had crap field pos. all of the first half. I don't think they ever started beyond the 20? I'm sorry, they started one drive at their own 23! You finally get the ball around the Oakland 35 with about 3 minutes left. Why not run the ball with Barber and get the off. line into a little rhythm of down field run blocking. A chance to put the Raiders on their heels a little before the half and give the off. line a little momentum along with Hanie. They were knocking the Raiders back earlier with straight ahead running between the tackles. If that doesn't work throw a screen, the normal kind, or play action, or a quick slant if you really need to for a first down. Low reward but low risk. Try and get one 1st down or just take some time off the clock and try a field goal. But no, he calls 4 passes out of 5 plays and then calls a reverse screen that gets tipped by a player who said he knew the play they were running from seeing the formation while watching tapes. But he is smarter then me. He helped win a Super Bowl. I've never been to one. The Raiders were beatable Sunday and my first blame goes to Martz. IMHO
3. Why is there not the option; piss poor offensive play calling!!! They start the first series of the 2nd quarte rwith a few Barber runs up the middle the middle. Nothing like Forte can but punished anyone who tried to tackle him and he still gained 4 or more. Just when this team and the off. line needed to just straight run block they went back to piss ass off. play calling. Just as they did at the end of the half with the ball around the 40 and two a half mins to go!!!! They start getting cute instead of just running the ball with the knowledge they should of gained at the start of the quarter. So why is the option not; piss poor offensive play calling?!?! My post from bears web.
4. Maybe the reason Mariweather does not complain is because he saves money when he's off the field.
5. Yea, this is what happens when you play the worst team in your dif. You put in max protection and commit to the run. Why the hell did it take till now for Martz and co. to shit can Oh'mygod and use their three 6'5'+ TE's for what they are good at?!?!?! Stand by my post last week. This team has gotten old and slow and time to rebuild. Have not checked the tape yet but has Paea even been on the field for any other play except his safety?
6. Well I guess the Lions showed that they have done things right. Crawled out of the slime after 60 years and kicked the Bears ass into it! Not to use a bad cliche but this team got old before our eyes. Anyone who was watching saw the shark get jumperd. OK, I'm done but time to get the draino out and flush everyone, and I mean everyone, down the drain. Starting with the GM and not stopping till you get to, well not stopping. Meaning Cutler and Forte if thats what it takes. They are the only players young enough to maybe keep if after you dump what few player might bring something in return. Sad part is I don't see many players you would get anything for. Other the Jay or Matt. This isn't baseball!!!
7. I'm happy as a pig in shit for Barry. And for the Loins. The worst franchise in the NFL for the past 60 years bar none. Now they have a chance to finally walk out of the primordal slime and we, meaning of course the Bears, get a chance to kick their ass back in the slop for another 60 years! Or maybe get our ass kicked into the slime!
8. Born on the Southside. Harvey. Raised in Rockford Il. And now live in Sacramento CA. Could not do winters anymore so left over 20 years ago.
9. If they miss any training camp time I will be dissapointed. I stopped getting the NFL package last year after ten years because of the ever increasing cost. It took almost half the year for the Oline to play decent with all the OTA's and camp last year. Missing any time this year could cost more then just sacks.
10. Can't say which side I'm on so I guess I'm on my side. It's a game that is big really big business. The most popular and biggest money making sport in America I believe. So I have no sympathy for either side. No one is twisting the owners arms to buy a team. No one is twisting the players to play. And I'm really tired of the players complaining that they only have a 3+ year career. What, they can't work like the rest of us for another 30+ years doing regular work afterwards? I'm just getting more and more fed up spending more and more of my hard earned money watching rich people playing games. And make no mistake. The cost for us to watch them is only going up when all this is settled.
11. Well, I never in my wildest dreams thought we would be playing at home for the NFC Championship!! And best of all having a chance to beat the Packers and kick thier ass's out of the playoff's. I think that speaks for itself as to the job this coaching staff has done. Coach of the year with out a doubt. IMHO Hell, lots of so called experts picked the Bears to finish below the Lions.

New Poll

Well, after being a lurker here for a long, long time I must say it's time to say hello and ask a question. As a life long Bear fan of over 50 years I never expected the Bears to be in this position this year, and least of all to have the once in a multitude of lifetime chances to eliminate my most hated team! Not only in the playoffs, but the NFC Champianship game at home! I will be physically sick if the Packers win the Halas Trophey next weekend. I'm already "forever" sick that the Superbowl Trophey is called the Lombardi Trophey!!!!! Am I sutpid or do others feel the same way?
