  1. I figured we would look to upgrade our #3, but Kearse would be an expensive #3.
  2. In NE, they already have starters, so they are not going to pay him starter money as a rotational guy. That doesn't mean he is a backup just because that is where NE used him. To me, this just reminds me of McPhee. He was a rotational guy on a deep position on a great defense. They couldn't pay him starter money, but we could. Hicks is in a very similar situation.
  3. That was just tweeted out:
  4. I am so glad Atlanta didn't swoop in and steal him. One of the biggest upgrades in one of the biggest needs on the team in a long time. Our ILB's looked like this: https://vine.co/v/eUWEHZELLJv I also like the fact that he is coming from a winning team.
  5. Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter 2m2 minutes ago Bears are signing former Broncos LB Danny Trevathan, per source.
  6. Not too bad, $7M average. Houston is having a day, Osweiler, Miller, and Allen. Their offense is going to be much improved this year. Too bad they won't need to trade up for a QB now, my Mock Challenge is now screwed.
  7. Damn, we probably got outbid. I would be curious to see the number he was signed for.
  8. Elway would never do that. I can see him bringing Fitzpatrick, RG3, or maybe even trade up in the draft.
  9. Doug Martin is getting $35M for 5 years (7AV), Miller is getting $26M for 4 years (6.5AV), so I don't know if 5M would be his number. I was thinking $4M max for 2 years. If he got $5M+ for 3 years or more, then that was probably a good move on the Bears part.
  10. Hopefully this gives us the edge for Allen.

@KCChiefs G Jeff Allen being heavily pursued by @ChicagoBears & @Atlanta_Falcons among others. @NFLonFOX With Boone gone, hopefully we can get Allen.
  12. Travis Benjamin to Chargers
  13. McLeod to Eagles for 5/37, a little rich for me.
  14. Rolando McClain staying in Dallas on 1-year deal.

Yeah, I was thinking Wright or Jones potentially there, but they are listed as OLBs.
  16. Janoris Jenkins to Giants a done deal....So hopefully we can still land someone like Patrick Robinson.

Bears trade #11 (1250) to Texans #22 (780), #52 (380), #116 (62), #154 (29.8)~1251.8 1.22- William Jackson, CB, Houston 2.41-Vernon Butler, DE/DT, Louisiana Tech 2.52-Adolphus Washington, DT, Ohio State 3.72-Sebastian Tretola, OG, Arkansas 4.103-Scooby Wright, OLB, Arizona 4.116-Deon Jones, OLB, LSU 5.138- Jerell Adams, TE, South Carolina 5.154-Tyler Ervin, RB/KR, San Jose St 6.167-Sean Davis, FS, Maryland 6.186-Robert Aguayo, K, FSU 6.188-Kevin Hogan, QB, Stanford 7.198-Jalin Marshall, WR, Ohio State
  18. Yeah, let's get Allen or Boone for half that.
  19. I really hope this is more posturing on Atlanta's part, and he already has his mind made up. We have basically double the cap space as them, but I don't want to get in a bidding war either.
  20. We would lose a 2nd for Marshall, so I wouldn't draft one if we went that route as we have too many other needs to commit that many resources (money and draft picks) to one position.
  21. Really? I was thinking $9 per.
  22. That is basically half the cost of the franchise tag for an LB, so this is an awesome deal if true.
  23. Bennett's stock just went up with that deal. Not a huge TE market, and Bennett would arguably be the best of the bunch.
  24. I would say the lack of rumors is a good thing. Normally the rumors are pure speculation on the media's part and not really leaks. They are just trying to get lucky with a scoop by linking us with known players at a position of need. Also, Trevathan was linked to 3 teams, the Bears, Falcons, and Dolphins. Look what just happened with them: 1. Dolphins trade for Kiko Alonso and Byron Maxwell 2. Free-agent LB James Laurinaitis visiting Atlanta on Tuesday So Dolphins out for sure with that trade (due to position and cap reasons), and the Falcons have decent cap space but still about half of what we have.
