  1. A must win this weekend. At home, and the possibility of going 2 down on 2 Division opponents in 2 weeks.
  2. I wouldn't call what we gave up mortgaging the farm. That would be something like what Minnesota did for Walker or New Orleans did for Williams. If you look at the schedule, PIT was already one of the possible losses, and so was @ GB to be honest. I was figuring we would split vs MIN and GB, and win 2 against DET going 4-2 in the Division. For the other 10 games, 6-4 was a pretty reasonable assessment. That would be a 10-6 season with losses to GB, MIN, PIT, ATL, PHI, BAL.
  3. Good link describing Urlacher's injury: http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/chi-url...,180731.graphic
  4. Wale beat the Tackle and the RB on one of those plays that was silly. They looked like cones; go left past the tackle, then right past the RB, then smash QB. Also, for all the WRs, they can only get better as the season goes on. Hester and Bennett may be legit 1-2's by the end of the year. Just for reference, 4 out of the last 10 SB winners lost their first game of the season, but only 2 lost their last game of the season. Much better to be hot at the end of the year than the beginning.

That is true, I just thought it was funny because he doesn't even seem like a #4 WR let alone someone we would want.

Saw this nugget in a Westbrook article: http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/rumors/post/Ea...?urn=nfl,189901 Is this guy really that good, and would he actually be an upgrade for us?

Congrats! At least you won't lose any sleep during the season.
  9. We need to generate some turnovers.
  10. This loss is not on Lovie. The Bears made some nice adjustments and had a winnable game with 5 turnovers. However, you have to believe he is on the hot-seat if we have a sub .500 season.
  11. Pittsburgh too is without their defensive leader, and he may be more important to them than Urlacher is to us, and that is saying a lot. They had absolutely no running game (36 rushing yards) vs TEN and their O-Line looked almost as bad as ours. Big Ben was sacked 4 times and threw 2 picks. He also had a couple of "near" picks but got lucky. I think this will be another close game, and definitely winnable. The early line has the Steelers favored by 3. One concern is that they have had a couple extra days to rest, recover, and prepare.
  12. Also, a cast can help a fracture so the limb doesn't bend, but in a dislocation, it is at the joint, so normally you can't put pressure on it. So he literally would not be able to push off anything with that arm or his ulna or radius might pop out of his skin.
  13. Surprisingly only one of Cutler's INTs resulted in pts for the Packers.
  14. Also, just think of the situation. You are playing in GB on national tv in the first game of the season in the biggest rivalry in the NFL, vs a new 3-4 defense with little tape to study. You also have a young group of receivers, a new O-Line, with the added pressure of the trade. Then add that we had no running game (Forte 2.2 yds per carry) and you are playing against some of the best corners in the game. Then your coaches burn all your timeouts over silly plays and your long snapper is giving the ball to your opponent. Then to put icing on the cake, your defensive leader is out and it is all on you. Looking at that, it was amazing he did what he did given all that pressure. That was 2 weeks after dealing with the preseason game in Denver too.
  15. There are some dislocations that are actually worse than breaks. A bunch of time in a cast, then a few weeks recovery.

    Hester

I thought he looked great. He had a nice one on one move against Woodson that was sweet. I am just wondering if it would be better if he just stopped doing returns altogether.
  17. I wonder if Briggs stays at MLB and Urlacher moves to the outside when he comes back?
  18. Looking at some of those replays, Orton probably has 2 picks and about 100 yards passing.
  19. I just think that is something you never do on your own half of the field (or when you are winning for that matter).
  20. The end of the Urlacher era is coming quicker than I thought.
  21. Of all the players we lose on D.
  22. I just can't believe we played that bad and it took a 50 yard TD to beat us.
