Don't give D too much cred
My point was the only highlight for the defense was Tillman's strips. That was the only way we stopped the Eagles.

My 6 point plan.
5 Steps 1. Fire Smith/Turner, bring in Cowher, Shanny, Gruden, or Dungy. Allow them to bring in their own Coordinators. 2. Draft O-Line and sign O-Line via FA 3. Trash the Cover-2 4. Trade Hester 5. Trade Olsen

GB lose Kampman and Harris for season
2/11 is a big chunk of the defense. They were 4th and 6th in tackles, 3rd in sacks and INTs on the team. That is pretty significant. Also, they were using Kampman wrong, so his numbers are down.

Cutler's Mechanics...
Cutler mechanics have went into the shitter. On some of his throws, it looks like he is just winging them up there and expecting receivers to catch them regardless on how bad they are thrown or where they are thrown. He had two throws like that down the middle that were lofted over the receiver and in front of the safeties. I believe Olsen was one of the receivers. Who was he throwing to? Miscommunication, etc can only be used as an excuse for so long. The over throws to Olsen and Hester on back to back plays were crazy. Also, how do you overthrow Knox?

GB lose Kampman and Harris for season
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=Aug_...p&type=lgns and they have a short week playing Detroit on Thursday. I know we have our own issues, but that sucks for them.

I agree. If Tillman doesn't make those 2 strips, we lose by at least 14.

Cutler is not playing good, and there is no way anyone can continue to defend his performances week in and week out. Regardless of the offensive line, the running game, etc, he is missing easy passes. He has to take advantage of those plays, and he is not. For how good everyone said his accuracy is, he has had some terrible throws the last couple of weeks.

At this point, I do too. The expectations were not as high. Now mine are so low with Cutler that a game without interceptions is awesome.

Cutler was horrible again tonight. No excuses. You can't overthrow that many wide open receivers in the NFL. How many games have ended this season with a Cutler INT?

The Refs are definitely impacting this game. A ton of non-calls on Philly. The Eagles are clearly out to disrupt the Bears routes and will take the 5 yards vs Pass Interference. Seems like Cutler lacks depth perception. It is sad when a good half is no interceptions.

Eagles 31-17 Bears Cutler 3 INTs (1 in Red Zone)
-
What is our best formation?
I believe that the formations would be true for most teams. The more you spread them out, the better chance you have at positive yards.
-
Analyzing the interceptions
Right now Cutler is making too many bad decisions in the Red Zone. That is where he is killing the team. On the first Red Zone INT, if he just throws it away and we kick a FG, that last one never even happens. Gould would be in for a potential game winner with a few seconds left and Cutler would be a hero.

Philly and Minny...
It is going to be ugly for the next couple of years. This team has a lot of holes, lack of draft picks, and some aging vets.

Bears @ 49ers Game Thread
The two picks in the Red Zone were unacceptable imo, and those were the two that were his fault. As a Pro Bowl QB, you have to know when to throw it away.
-
I Feel Bad For Jay Cutler
If he doesn't throw the first pick, we at least get a FG. That would've put us in position to win the game at the end. So, regardless of the picks, this one is on him.

Cocky SOB who is showing that he is not as good as he thinks he is.

That was a pitiful performance.

Just throw it away. Please. Red Zone Interceptions are getting really old. It is not like we were desperately behind.

http://blogs.mercurynews.com/49ers/2009/11...oy-their-front/ You know it is bad when a team that has lost their last 4 is talking trash. Briggs' response:

PFW Grades the Bears at the midpoint
A] Yes B] Too much

Is Harris more important than we want to admit?
Yeah, where is all the Marinelli talk now? With Lovie doing the playcalling and Marinelli coaching the DLine, the performance of the defense has been unacceptable this year. Cincinnati has only one game over 23 pts besides the 45 they dropped on us. Arizona's highest total was 31 before putting up 41 against us. Embarrassing.
-
Realistically
The team looks done, but at 4-4, they are only 1 back for the WC. Thursday's game is the season. If we win (and can at least split wth GB and MIN), we have a shot. A loss on Thursday completely seals our fate though.

That game was so bad that Fox went to GB and TB game in the early 4th quarter.

Article on why Bears OL stinks
If you look at the Super Bowl year roster the only OLine starter drafted by the Bears was Kruetz. So this is not something new nor has it always been a weakness. I just think they went this route one too many times and it didn't work out. They took some chances going with Pace and Omiyale, and drafting Williams. The worst case scenario has played out with all three of them not living up to expectations.
