Urlacher had his best season!
Urlacher really came on in the last few games of the season, and probably had his best 3-4 game stretch of his career. I don't think his back is that bad, because you would see some sort of regression, and that has not happened with him. I would start worrying when he starts missing games.

Hampton: We would have pounded Brady
Yeah, the Bears D would've crushed them.

Vote '85 Bears best ever!
Bulls, Bears, DC United, Hurricanes, Yanks, and Phins last. Seems like votes are weighted, so you want only crappy teams in the top 5 after the Bears and Bulls.

Bears sign Punter
Start buying the Super Bowl tickets for 2009 now.

Favorite Bears moment
1. The Bears dominating playoff run in 1985, 21-0 against the Giants, then 24-0 vs the Rams. In the Rams game, the snow starts coming down and the Bears D gets a fumble recovery and runs it in. 2. Hester's SB runback. There was so much hope after that score.... 3. Sweetness breaking the all-time rushing mark. 4. The "They are who we thought they were game" in 2006 Worst one: Payton not getting a TD in the Super Bowl, ugh.

Bears feel very good about defensive front
Dvoracek was injured on special teams, so that was sort of a freak accident. Harris was just beat up with different injuries. When those two are at full strength, they are dominating.

Scout Talk: Senior Bowl winners and losers
Not that I want him, but didn't they say almost the same thing about Brady coming out of Michigan?

Scout Talk: Senior Bowl winners and losers
Damn, I was hoping Flacco would not move up so high. Doubt we get him now. I guess the 2nd round is still a possibility.

Do you trust Angelo's drafting?
NFO, That is a harsh assessment on some of those years. If you draft a Pro Bowler, that in itself is a pretty good draft. You seem to want every single pick to work out, and that is completely unrealistic. The 2006 draft is a C+? That is crazy, Hester alone makes it an "A". He is the top return specialist of All-time. 2004 is a B, with Harris, Berrian, AND Vasher? That is a solid "A", probably an A+. I agree with the other years. The biggest thing to notice is how bad our 1st rounders have turned out other than Harris (Olsen is too new to eval). That is why I would rather trade down if possible.

Pic you guys will like
Remember Urlacher's recovery speed. He caught up to Bush from 20 yards behind.

No more Big Baby in Detroit
I don't know if you can call one single incident a character issue. The guy made an utterly stupid and dangerous mistake, but he seems like he has turned it around since then.

I'm SOOOOOOOOOO Happy!
Favre has as much to do with the wins as he does with the losses. He is such a high risk, high reward player.

I'm SOOOOOOOOOO Happy!
There is no way the Pack repeats what they did this year (13-3). They were good, but not that good. They seemed to play teams just at the right time, and were not hit with any major injuries. Minnesota is more of a threat with AP.

THE DRAFT and FA
The good thing for the Bears is teams higher might have more of a propensity to take something other than OL compared to a sexy pick like QB, RB, WR, etc. Just think of the offensive line the Lions could've built instead of drafting WR after WR every year.

Sproles is smaller than Wolfe
Sproles is barely used, so if Turner wants to be more creative, give Wolfe less playing time?

AFC Championship thread
I'm not talking about storyline more than history. Going undefeated the entire season with a 16 game regular season is unprecedented. If the G-Men win, it might be one of the biggest upsets in SB history.
-
NFC Championship thread
The Bears could be meeting the Pats for a 1986 rematch right now. Full health, the Bears are better than the G-Men.

THE DRAFT and FA
Unless we somehow get 2 1st Rounders, thats not going to happen. Phillips is a top 15 pick, and Mendenhall is a 1st rounder.

Favre had a lot to do with that loss.

Ha, I was thinking 41-24.

THE DRAFT and FA
The O-Line depth also allows you to trade down in the 1st and still pick up a quality pick. Someone is always there looking to move up to get their guy. I would be ecstatic with a trade down into the 20's while picking up a late 2nd rounder. We would then have 5 picks in the first 3 rounds.
