Biggest Impact Draft Pick for Bears in 2008
I am just hoping someone falls into our laps at #15/16.
-
Player of the year
Who has more of an impact on a game with so few touches?
-
Draft Position
Yes, here is the breakdown: 9. DEN (6-9, SoS #11) 10. CIN (7-9, SoS #27) 11. NO (7-9, SoS #24) 12. CAR (7-9, SoS #22) 13. BUF (7-9, SoS #9) 14. DET (7-9, SoS #7) 15. CHI (7-9, SoS #2) 16. ARZ (7-8, SoS #30) 17. HOU (8-8, SoS #17) 18. PHI (8-8, SoS #1) Now ARZ is interesting. If they lose, they go from #16 to #10, and possibly #9 with a DEN win.

Player of the year
He should even get a vote or two for MVP. He has the biggest impact on a game in the NFL. Screw Brady, he would not be half the QB without the OL and Moss/Welker.

Mike Martz for OC?
I hope not. A little late I hope.
-
Draft Position
Depending on the Arizona game, the Bears will draft 15th or 16th. 15th with an Arizona win, and 16th with an Arizona loss.

Martz to be fired....

NE/NYG
Manning looked great, but once again, when he is pressured, he gets flustered. That fumble and 3 and out followed by the INT sealed it for NE. Also, the Moss TD was silly. Everyone knew they were going right back to him, yet he was single covered by a Safety with a bad hamstring?

NE/NYG
Ugh, Manning really choked in the 2nd half. 2 minute offense burns 3 minutes off the clock - classic.
-
Who are you rooting for tonight?
You needed a choice for "Giants because I hate NE/Boston"

NE/NYG
Giants up 21-16 at Half. Manning actually looked solid on the TD drive right before the half. It will be interesting to see when the teams start resting their starters.

Mike Martz for OC?
From Rotoworld: Martz has always been a great offense guy. Would there be any shot at the Bears getting him? Would we want him? Did he and Lovie get along in STL?

Bush won't play - ruled out according to Payton
Yeah Bush not playing is disappointing, because I would love the Bears to get some hard hits on him.

Biggest Impact Draft Pick for Bears in 2008
Wow, 7 for Long. Pix, I completely agree. If anything, we trade down and add a 2nd or 3rd rounder.

Step right up - Free Kool-Aid Served ....
I would say right off the bat, with the players returning from injury, the Bears are a 8/9 win team next year. If the Bears can solidify the OLine, that will probably give them 2 more wins as long as the Offense gets on track. I can see a Bears team winning as many as 11 next year, with a low of 7 depending on how everything falls into play this offseason.

Biggest Impact Draft Pick for Bears in 2008
I tried to include most of the top picks, even though most would be out of reach for the Bears with their current position. Which player would be the biggest upgrade over the current player? McFadden over Benson? Ryan over Grossman? Dorsey over DT2 rotation? Long/Clady over Miller? Sweed over Berrian? 10 choices was the max, so there may be other players that are not listed.
-
Good look at Bears personnel questions...
For Moose, how much would the cap hit be if we cut him? After June 1st?
-
PFW on Jamar Williams
Urlacher at OLB? That would take pressure off his chronic back?
-
4RD MOCK DRAFT
I know it is early, but would it be possible to pin a 2008 NFL Draft thread/sub-forum so we can start dumping stuff like this in there?
-
Nick Barnett
Barnett was clearly wrong with his after the play antics. The Ref had every right to get him off the pile. Bears 2, Packers 0 Refs 1, Barnett 0

Vasher to IR
Smart move. Just let him get healed up for next season. No point in risking further injury. I too am wanting to see Hass at least get some chances.

Take em or Leave em
Np, that is the site I use for odds words.

NE/NYG
They said the game is now on 3 networks. It would be hilarious if it was a brutally bad game with NE losing.

With the Crayton signing: How much more will it take to keep Berrian?
