Hester Officially to offense
A decoy is sometimes more effective than the normal play. Defenses will over compensate and will get burned. Either way they will have to gameplan for him coming out of the backfield, in the slot, or outside as a receiver. His presence alone will be a huge asset. Don't forget Olsen and Wolfe in this mix. 4 Receiver sets with Berrian, Davis, Bradley, and Hester should be fun.

Hester Officially to offense
Wow, wasn't there another article about this topic recently that stated the exact opposite? I wonder what has changed since then?

Tank Johnson released from jail
and to a Strip Club the night before he meets the Commish.

Tank Johnson released from jail
- Briggs drama 2 weeks away.
Since he has lost a lot in regards to public image in the media, that would seem to be the best way to repair it. Which would in turn give him and Ro$enhaus a better opportunity to cash in.- Briggs drama 2 weeks away.
Briggs would be able to recoup a lot of his lost "respect" and probable contract money if he just shows up and keeps his mouth shut.- Mock Draft Summary Thread
Ben Watson? I thought it would have been Carolina since they had the worst TE corps in the NFL, but I will take it.- Greg Olsen
I posted some Olsen pics in the Pics thread.- UDFA's
Rosenhaus must have filled him with some BS. Something like this: "Darius, there is no way you will get a chance to be a #1 back in Chicago, they have Benson, Peterson, and now Wolfe in front of you. Also, look at what happened to Thomas Jones. You deserve better, let me get Detroit on the line".- Ian Scott signs with Eagles
The Bears also signed Adams, so there may not have been enough space for him.- Greg Olsen
42 receptions 520 yds 3 TDs- Cedric Benson
75 yds/g for 16 games = 1200 yds 8 TDs- Keyshawn Johnson released
I just heard that the Giants are interested in him to replace Toomer.- Keyshawn Johnson released
Actually I just realized Keyshawn is a year older than Moose. Moose's contract: 2008: $1.6 million, 2009: $2 million, 2010: $4 million, 2011: FA So it would not be that good of an idea because you are wasting a roster spot. If Moose was making something like $5+, then I could see a move, but $1.6 and $2.0 are not bad for the next two years. I doubt he plays out the 2010 portion for $4.- Keyshawn Johnson released
I wouldn't mind if he was that cheap. However, where would he play with Moose, Berrian, Bradley, and Davis already in the lineup? I think it is hilarious that he was released, especially if you watched the draft on ESPN. He was on there talking up a storm, and when the Panthers picked Jarrett, he was so excited saying that he can't wait to mentor him. He also commented on how Jarrett was exactly like him. So I guess Carolina felt the same way and released him.- Olsen ready to take next step with Bears
The work ethic comment is odd coming from a coach's son. The lack of blocking is just something that will come over time. I am not too worried. I think all players come out of the draft with questions, and if these are the only two, I'll take them.- Olsen ready to take next step with Bears
Didn't know his brother was a QB and was trying out with the Bears. Good to hear the comment about being in camp. Hate to see holdouts. Olsen interview: http://video.nbc5.com/player/?id=97215- Official NFL Draft Day Thread
If he makes the team, that would be a formidable tandem returning Kickoffs. Kick left and you get Hester, kick right and you get Graham. Choose your poison NFL.- Draft Recap
I was actually surprised that SD did that move. Very unlike them.- Tank gets concurrent sentence
Do you really think he would get the season? Wow. None of his charges were as bad as Pac-man's rap sheet, and they were probably closer to where Chris Henry's were. My guess is 6-8.- Draft Recap
I beg to differ on the Wolfe pick. He holds the NCAA record for yds per carry, and is 3rd all time in yds per game. You cannot do that at a DIV-I school and be mediocre. There have been several smaller backs that were successful in the NFL (B. Sanders, M. Faulk, etc), but the difference is Wolfe is very fast. He may not possess the raw skills of Sanders or Faulk, but he can run. Everyone has their opinion on players, but how many of these guys actually watched these players play? I have seen Wolfe play and he will be a very solid compliment to Benson's running style (even more than TJ). 171 rushing and 114 receiving yds (285 total yds) at Ohio St as a Senior is pretty impressive. He is not an every down back, but I could see him with 10 rushes and 2-3 receptions a game. He will be really effective out of the shotgun using the draw.- Mock Draft Summary Thread
It was amazing how Olsen was our pick for about 2 months, but then the consensus shifted towards LB and Beason. Funny how things work.- Draft Recap
Draft Grades (from Yahoo Sports): FoxSports: Looks like the consensus is a "C" grade. I would say it is a B- at the lowest.- Official NFL Draft Day Thread
That is true, which is equivalent to a mid-7th rounder! YES!- Tank gets concurrent sentence
So now he is finally straight from all his Pac-man-itis. He has a 45 day sentence for the weapons charge that will be served concurrently with the 4-month sentence for the probation violation. Now I am curious about how long the commish will give him for these incidents? 2 games? 4 games? 6 games? 8 games? I don't see it being more than that, but you never know. - Briggs drama 2 weeks away.
