For the Bears to go into the 4th Quarter up only 10-9, and in 9 minutes turn that into a 24-9 lead to effectively put the game away was incredible.

hey Adam, I sent you a PM, when you get a chance, please take a look at it. Thank you :)

Hurts actually underthrew the 1st TD to Brown and Wright was in good coverage and just misplayed it. On Brown's 2nd TD, they had McCloud on him, which is now someone I want on the field. The Bears defense has really struggled when teams play with tempo. I would not be surprised if teams try this earlier in the game.

This is the Eagles post game show, worth watching a few minutes of

Good stuff. Outcoached, outschemed. Most rushing yards against Philly since 1973 lol.

Oh by the way, not a one score win, and finally have a positive points differential (lol).

It's going to take me a long time to come down off this high.  We just manhandled the Eagles defensive front for 4 straight quarters.  There are a lot of first round draft picks in their front 7.   Fangio may have kept the safeties back for most of the game protecting against the big plays Ben Johnson loves but he paid for it dearly.  Now we're taking that running game to Green Bay where they just lost their starting DT.   We get a couple extra days of rest and planning to boot.  If Green Bay tries to do the opposite and load up against the run you know Ben will respond accordingly.

It was a horrible day passing for both teams, and a horrible kicking day for one team.   35mph gusts coming sideways in cold weather.  It affects the ball.  That's why you need a good running game late in the season.  Despite all the skill position talent on the roster Ben has been focused on the running game since the beginning of training camp.

Dennis Allen has put together a good staff on defense.  It's hard to say he's not getting the best out of the talent he has on the field.  Even the DE we traded for, Joe Tryon-Shoyinka, is making impact plays the last two games.

In summary.. the Bears just did to the Eagles what the media expected the Eagles to do to the Bears.

Hard to wrap my head around this, the best team we played all year and we dominated a defense that has 5 or 6 pro bowlers on it. At the end of the third quarter they worked there way back to possibly take the lead and we smacked them  back to reality. Pounded the ball and kept Eagles out of the end zone. Caleb not having a good day at the end of the game popped some plays to keep us in the lead.

The best is yet to come.

Love it

The rest of the story...... (from an article on SI.com)

Quote

The Wieners Circle, a beloved Chicago hotdog spot, had vowed to give the entire city of Chicago free hot dogs if Ben Johnson ever took his shirt off during or after a game, and Johnson delivered in spades. After delivering his famous 'good, better, best' post-game speech, Johnson ripped his coach's shirt off and flexed for his shouting, cheering team, basking in the glory of a statement win.

11/24 for Caleb that half.

League average completion % is in the mid 60's. His inaccuracy continues to be alarming. Two missed touchdowns to wide open receivers that half.

Eagles were begging the Bears to blow them out but Caleb missing throws is keeping them from running away with it.

The TD he missed to zacheus wasn’t an easy throw with that wind and I think he was going down on the throw to Rome. I think next year we will see Caleb’s accuracy take a huge step forward. But you see him throwing guys open more and more, you see him using middle of field and tight ends more, and he is better in an around the pocket.

Goff had a 40 percent completion percentage against that D and Love struggled against them too. That is a great D - add in those conditions and while it wast a good game - he did enough when it mattered. I see development out of him every week - but accuracy is obviously not that yet - he has to trust his feet more and that will come with continued reps and another offseason.

Let’s go bears - way to go - that was a fun one. Nasty winds, road game, defending Super Bowl champs and we manhandled them. Running back and oline and the defense played great too.

I did think the pass blocking struggled at times - at least a few times it looks like Wright got cooked / a few other times the were just confused but on the ground game - wow. Trapillo seemed to hold up outside of a play or two.
